Look, I get it. You need to know that your green beans were hand fertilized with donkey saliva. I am not of that camp. Welcome to silver diner, an overpriced Dennys that claims that since the lettuce in your sandwich was hand watered drop by drop, your sandwich should be $15. Atmosphere - If an American described the concept of a diner to an Ikea employee and this what they came up with. "Oh look, nickel jukeboxes". "Oh wow, red vinyl seats". Puh-lease. Staff - The only thing that saved the establishment is the staff. She was very nice, offered me assistance and kept my drink filled. Very polite staff. But sadly, Im sure they are not all vegans. Food - Typical diner fare except they replaced the iceberg with kale and added $10 to the price. I had eggs, toast and bacon. It cost me $14. The eggs tasted like eggs. My friend got a chicken sandwich. It tasted like chicken. Value - You could have three diner meals for the price of one meal here. Suggested dishes: Buying your own live chicken, raising it to adulthood in your bathtub, and eating its "free-range" eggs.

I had never been to the Silver Diner before, when I arrived, I was expecting a typical diner. The Double T for example. Lots of food options, none of them particularly good. But Silver Diner is not your typical diner, its high quality food, using locally sourced ingredients. The quality is there in the ingredients and in the execution. I went there on a Sunday for a baptism reception. And it was packed with the after church crowd. There were long waits for tables, we had reservations and thankfully didnt have to wait long. Unfortunately, the staff was having trouble keeping up with the crowd as far as taking orders and refilling drinks. But they did realize and apologize. The food itself came out fairly quickly for the amount of people there. My recommendation is go when its a little less crowded, youll get the amazing variety of options like most dinners, but quality that others diners dont come close to matching.

The food was very tasty, the coffee was diner-strong, and the service was great. The employees were all really friendly, even though it was crazy busy, they always smiled when they passed. I asked for a country scramble without green peppers, and they accommodated the change without blinking. I also like my coffee weak, so when I asked for a coffee with hot water added, they managed that no problem. Overall, the service was friendly, fast, and good, and the food was tasty. The diner atmosphere was fun, and everything was clean and nice. Its a bit loud (like most diners) and pretty busy, so if youre looking for somewhere quiet, this isnt the place for you, but if youre looking for the classic American diner experience with good food and good service, Silver Diner is a good choice.

I toke my mother here for mothers day she had not been here in over 5 yrs. It was nice to be greeted with a carnation flower from the host Amanda which by the way she was so pleasant and nice the to everyone even though it was very very busy of course she told us it will be about a 30 minute wait and it was we didnt mind and also her name was Vanessa she was very pleasant and nice food came out faster than we thought due to the high volume and it was fresh and good as always just as my mother remembered it 5 years ago she was pleased and happy and theres a daughter that made me happy see you soon Silver Diner thank you for your good service and your good food.

Omg I love Silver Diner. The people are very friendly and the food is amazing and the atmosphere is so cool. A 1950s diner in a 21st century neighborhood. Best place to eat ever. The menu changes every season to accommodate the new foods and there always made farm fresh from there dozens of farms located all over the state. The music is so cool and its music you know and can jam to in your seat while waiting for your food. I love this place and so does my family, and it never gets old. My opinion, if your looking for a quick place to sit back, relax, enjoy family and eat a healthy meal prepared right and well, then Silver Diner is the place for you!

My Finacee and I are vegan :) we often have qualms with finding food we can eat and.... ENJOY without loosing taste and presentation. Silver diners accommodations and their Flexitarian* menu options have done it! We love the experience of silver diner ourselves as children but with the increasing awareness with our health we are so happy to find so many options to fit our lifestyle in one place ! I suggest the portobello mushroom dish . Personal favorite of ours and Greenbelts management team is very consistent in this particular location. It seems like... everyone just cares :) thanks again Silver diner of Greenbelt! Last nights manager was great!

I wish I could give this place more stars. On Saturday, May 14th, I celebrated my graduation with my family at the Silver Diner..All 14 of us. I had called ahead and the manager, Nyathi Mxolisi, stated that while they didnt take reservations, he would get me seated as quickly as he could. That took all of 30 minutes. The service was great the food was EXCELLENT. My family is still talking about the chicken and grits, fried green tomatoes, the biscuits, the lemon chicken that was on the under 600 calorie menu. Everything was great. I cant thank him and the Silver Diner enough for making my celebration wonderful.

I was here last weekend with a group of about 7. We were seated even though the group wasnt all there right away which was nice. The waitress was friendly but once the larger group showed up we waited a very long time to get even our drinks which was mostly waters. She was apologetic and seemed new. The food came out in a reasonable time and was all deliciously by all accounts. Some of our friends go there quite a bit and we will likely be back because the menu is diverse and interesting and often rotating many new items in and out.

Looking for the classic diner feel? that farm fresh taste? look no further than silver diner in college park. The perfect place to take a diner loving friend for breakfast at 7pm, or to take your parents when they visit. The restaurant is very clean, has great food and a bundle of diner charm including a replica of older music systems that uses quarters to let you select the music that will play in the restaurant. if you like fresh diner food, and a cosy sit down diner atmosphere this is one location in college park you cannot miss.

We went here for a family lunch one sunday. I met the rudest waiter ever! She not only messed up our orders, but refused to bring us our to-go order, even after we had already tipped her. Our food was over salted and took a while to come out and to top that off we did not even get seated as a group after we had waited for over an hour. I will NEVER eat here again, and neither will any of my family and friends!! And we are passing the message along!!! Save your self the trouble and spend your money somewhere you can get QUALITY service!
