i normally dont do reviews and I love food, but let me tell you about this place, I DO NOT, I REPEAT, I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE GO THIS PLACE AT ALL!! we asked for a booth, and it wasnt cleaned so we asked someone to clean it for us, and they did so that wasnt it. the problem was nobody gave us menus for about ten minutes until a waiter came to serve us. he was doing nothing but rolling his eyes to one of my friends and thats not what a waiter needs to do. we asked for another person to serve us and we ended up having a waitress and dont get me wrong, she was nice and all .. in the beginning. the waffles my friend got were soft and then ended up getting new waffles. we ate our food, and we received our checks. before i get to that part, i thought cook actually COOK the bacon, not put it in the oven and then put it in the microwave. okay now back to the end of our time there, the waitress were being questioned about the charges on one of the checks, and then she had the NERVE to say " you guys have been giving me and my coworkers nothing but hell ever since you came in here and sat down." and threatened to tell the cops like we did some sort of crime. so i went and paid for my meal and the man running the register had the nerve to put my credit card on the counter rather than handing it to me. yeah service was bad and if the capital diner have employees that were working for three months and they are "sick and tired," then why are they there in the first place, to get us sick? yeah no service was bad and food wasnt that good ONCE AGAIN. i had buffalo wings last time i came and it looked like something i can easily make at home. so yeah , dont come here and i dont think i would ever waste my time driving there too. sorry not sorry.

Worst service every. Order oatmeal and toast!! I heard things as to the color of your skin dictates if you have a good experience or not but again I ordered oatmeal and toast!! order came to the table .. it was so cold the butter wasnt even melted on it..again I ordered oatmeal and toast!! oatmeal came to the table thick as hell cold so I flagged down the waitressand told her my toast was cold.. It just hit the table.. she asked do I want it darker I say no I want it hot she goes put the toast in the microwave instead of just dropping two pieces of bread and giving me fresh toast..toast comes back limp and rubbery.. so I move the toast to the side and proceeded to eat the oatmeal.. ice cold I have to get up walk to the counter and tell a different waitress my oatmeal was cold she to gos put it in the microwave and handed back to me by the time they did whatever they did back there with the oatmeal I have my guess they added water and put it in the microwave it came back flavorless and runny.... again I ordered oatmeal and toast and received neither the way that should have been brought to the table.. Manager ask "how was everything " I tell her my experience she says "oh sorry" as she hands me my change back for a meal I payed for bu didnt eat.. never again will I sit down and eat from this place or would i think about bringing my family into a rip off place like this

Ok so we went to Capital Diner for dinner and we all got our food but our grandmother, until about 20 to 25 min after everyone else got theres. The waiters/waitresses were horrible and so slow. We talked to the "manager" she didnt do jack crap, its like she didnt even care. Plus our desserts where horrible the cheesecake was completely frozen and the pudding was warm???? GROSS!! When we checked out we said the service was HORRIBLE then cashier asked what was wrong and we told her then she acted like she didnt care, she walked over to the "manager" and then they just started starin and laughing at us. We were regulars, not anymore never going back and they will here from us. This is the one on EISENHOWER BOULEAVARD in HARRISBURG PA. NEVER go there.

The restaurant is a nice restaurant but they DO NOTHING for veterans like many American restaurants do. I called and asked what specials do you have for Veterans and the lady with an accent said "we do nothing special for Veterans." WHAT! What kind of non-owned American restaurant is this. You operate a business in America, but you do not honor Veterans who fought for your freedom and some gave their lives for your freedom to have a restaurant. A free meal is THE LEAST you can do for your service to the service Veterans have given for you. I have withdrawn my future patriotism from this restaurant and disappointed at your service.

For an average week night, and for being 10:40 when we were seated, there is no reason why my meal should have taken 45 minutes to cook, to then be served cold. When I complained to the manager, he responded with "Oh well, better luck next time." Dont worry sir; there wont be a next time. Right across the street there is a Friendlys; a CHAIN RESTAURANT: that has better food and better service than you will ever dream of. Oh, and in case you are wondering, yes, you did tell me to "go ahead and write a bad review, people are too dumb to look up reviews"; well see how well that goes.

Came here in the past food was overpriced, but figured Id give them a second chance today. My boyfriend and I walked in waited to be seated. The waitress asked us our beverage, came back with our drinks, then told us shed be back in a couple min. For our orders. She went outside for five min, came back in didnt even acknowledge us. She went and started talking with coworkers, she drank some coffee. Then she started filling the condiments on empty tables. At this point me and my boyfriend were fed up we just left. I rather go to Angies Diner, at least they have excellent service!

I used to enjoy this place. I stopped in to grab a tiramisu for my wife for mothers day...after waiting about 25 minutes, they brought me two slices of a store bought (I think it was Costco) tiramisu cake like thing and charged me over $11 for the pair. They used to have GREAT tiramisu, that I wouldve pay for with no quarrel. In addition to the long wait and awful excuse for tiramisu, the manager was an absolute PRICK to his female employees!!! Just rude and disrespectful, Id call it a hostile work environment. Btw the jerk never apologized for the awful wait.

I just had the Texas burger here on Thursday haha. It was cooked exactly as I asked for which is always good. The fries were fresh too, I love crisp fries haha. My favorite meal on the menu is the Gyro. This is a Greek diner with a pretty extensive menu. The few breakfast items I have had were good as well. The typical eggs, bacon, sausage or home fries. Every thing Ive ever had here has been good and the service has always been above and beyond. Oh and the best dessert ever: Fried Cheesecake with Strawberry Sauce!!!!!!!
