Unfortunately, I had to leave one star to leave a review, otherwise I would have left no stars. This restaurant has the worst fried chicken Ive ever eaten. It tasted like it had been fried twice, heavy with grease, and the meat completely over cooked. The meat actually looked like it had "exploded". Our green beans came as macaroni and cheese instead. The mac and cheese was simply cooked macaroni with blobs of some kind of "cheese" scattered throughout the dish. I ordered ( I thought) a small order of fries, but got a huge - probably close to a pint and a half - of fries. They were limp and smashed together. I also was involuntarily relieved of $120.00 out of my fanny pack. I looked away to throw something in the trash, and it was gone. Obviously, I was stupid to look away. But it was right in front of the counter and the employees there, so that indicated to me even if it wasnt one of the employees, they saw who did it. I know Im in the vast minority here, but I suggest you avoid this place like the black plague.

On Dec 29th, my son and I went there and ordered catfish nuggets and chicken wing combo. For one both where fried to hard, then they had pieces of catfish that was include fried skin or whatever. Barely much fries. So I wasnt satisfied and asked for my refund. They staff gave me a hard time. Especially the cashier that had dreads going to tell me quote " I DONT SEE ANYTHING WRONG WITH YOURE ORDER THAT YOU SHOULD GET YOURE MONEY BACK". Now you tell me is that how they train there staff to say to a customer. If youre not satisfied, you try to please the customer so they can leave and not cause anymore scenes in front of other customers. All I wanted was my refund and leave. The only person that had sense and was very nice to me was some guy who was a manager or whatever. I really would like to thank him for handling my problem.

This is one of the places love to get fish and chicken sandwiches and dinners. The problem I have with Hip Hop is that the place need a good cleaning. The tables the floors look as if the last cleaning they had was the day the restaurant opened. Its so scuzzy, Im afraid to sit on a chair. Another problem is the funky attitude of people behind the counter, as if theyre giving you something free. NO AM EGOS We pay for it. Needless to say, Im no longer a patron. Oh and Baltimore location you need a mop and broom for Christmas too!

This place earned four stars from me because I like fast and efficient service. I usually call my order in to avoid waiting and that works. I cannot accurately assess all menu items; I typically order the whole wings. Although the wings are seasoned and taste good, I omitted a star because each wing is really tiny. You pay for a 10-piece wing and really receive about 6 or 7 wings due to their size.

I drive 30 minutes from downtown Annapolis to come get chicken here. I think they sprinkle crack in the batter because Im addicted to the chicken. Absolutely fantastic. Cook fresh to order. Not only that they have fried gizzards, clam strips, shrimp, pretty much everything youre looking for in a chicken joint. Prices are good. Portions good. Not a bad thing to say. Even the bathrooms are clean.

I usually dont give fast food type places 5 star BUT you truly need to know how fantastic their chicken is. I drive 30 mins one way to get to. It is fried perfectly. It has just the right amount of grease to make you want to lick your fingers. The crispyness is second to none. I can go on and on but bottom line. This is some fantastic fried chicken (fish/seafood is good too) at a great price.

The small fish dinner was way more food than I could eat. It is not your usual fried fish place, there are many types of fish to choose from. Flavor was a little bland, but the fish portions were big and not because of the breading. It was a little oily, but not too bad. The servers were friendly, but the order took 15 minutes to cook. The place is a little dirty, other places are worse.

Kept seeing this place and finally decided to try it after a year and a half of driving by. Chicken was good and flavorful. Fries were ok but kind of tasted a bit like old oil. Hush puppies were alright. Nothing to write home about. Prices are decent and you can order large quantities for catering. Allow a bit of time to wait for your food as everything is made to order.

The food was good. Got the catfish, perch, legs, and tenders. The catfish and the legs were the best. Also the fried pickles were amazing! Youll see a "drive-thru" but its not in use. You have to go in. Only reason its not 5 stars is because the wait for the food was a bit long. Only had 2 people working there when I went.

The wait was horrendous and the jumbo shrimp was not jumbo. The bread was white sandwich bread that you could probably get from the grocery store. The food was okay, but my coleslaw was missing! Plus, the parking was a struggle and way too small. I would not recommend this place to anyone!

Just wonderful! The food! The service!!! I order something different every time I go and I am never disappointed! I particularly love the open kitchen design! It offs always nice and clean. Which is hard to do while slinging four all day!! I highly recommend trying them if you never have!

Great food. Great portions. Decent pricing. The only thing that keeps me from giving it a 5 is some of the people at the register can be snippy and short. This can happen when its busy. That being said food is phenomenal. Best chicken around.

I had the chicken tenders. They are the closest thing to homemade Ive tasted. The fries were great as well. I do wish they would fix their drive through and the wait times are terrible. The food is worth the wait though.

Mexican guy with the slicked back was not that friendly . only when it came to the male customers did he show customer service. Aside from that my experience was pretty good the food was delicious and I would go back.

Chicken was all right. A lot of food for the money and its better than fast food but wasnt memorable except for the really salty, bad jalapeno poppers and super greasy eggplant. If you go, go for the chicken.

Food is good but you better order before you get there so you will not have a long wait. Wings are an ok size but they use to be big at one point. Prices are not bad for lunch or dinner.
