The sushi here tastes very good, but I have visited twice now and found fish bones in the nigiri both times. The first time I dismissed it as a fluke; mistakes can happen occasionally. Finding a bone again on my second visit, however, was unacceptable (and unsafe). I told the waitress, who mentioned it to the manager. I had hoped for a small discount on my meal or at least an apology, but the manager declined to even stop by my table to talk about the problem! Because of this, I plan to visit the other great sushi restaurants in the area instead. Sushi should be prepared carefully to remove bones, which can easily become choking hazards.

Quaint and and servers are very attentive but in no way intrusive. Usually go for their bulgogi. Today, I wanted to give their kalbi a try. Unfortunately, they didnt have any. Went with the chirashi instead. Hefty portions although the sashimi cuts could be worked on and be more bite-sized. One piece easily took up the entire space of the sauce dish that had my wasabi-soy mixture. Before our main courses, we were served complimentry house salad, miso soup, and pageon. Awesome. Their kimchi is delish. Fermented just right and they sale it by the quart! Yes! Will be visiting soon.

I went for lunch a few weeks ago and had dinner last night. Both times I order a variety of sushi, but did sample an entree from the regular menu. The sushi order was taking a little longer than the owner/sushi chef wanted so we were given complimentary salads, miso soup, and a zucchini pancake appetizer. It was fine waiting and enjoying your food and the sushi was well worth the wait. All 6 different rolls last night were absoluytely amazing and the chef is knowledgable and personable to have a conversation with. Overall a great establishment and my new favorite sushi bar.

Musasi is a hidden gem! They offer the freshest sushi, and they even have a mix of Korean food to compliment the Japanese fare. Great service, and the owners like to make appearances to see how your meal is going or to just chat with customers in general. Prices are definitely reasonable for what you get, though lunch will cost you around $20 for an appetizer and two sushi rolls with a drink. But, they have a "lunch box" meal with a variety of Korean and Japanese treats all in sample-sized portions to give your mouth variety in taste!

Fair to bad, unfortunately. The wait staff is pleasant enough, but the prices and level of food are quite incongruent. Tasteless Tempura, thin bland Miso, and dishes that scream, " Chung King." If this was a #1 they would be out of business. The lack of quality is out of proportion to the raves. I guess some Hampton-ites are just glad to get their food hot. Only wish that the standard on Queen Street would bump up a notch. Not looking for gourmet, but just a few decent cooks.

Although we arrived just before they closed (9:20). Sandy and her staff were very appreciative and welcoming of our business. All of our dishes were excellently prepared, you could taste the love. Andy did a superb job as sushi chef. This business has been family owned and operated for over twenty years. Seeing the display of numbered chopstick boxes from their regulars was quite the testimate to the quality of this establishment. Would highly recommend

The atmosphere is amazing! This is my favorite place to eat in downtown Hampton. The food is reasonably priced and amazing. Definitely, my first choice for any dinner date. The servers are really nice and are very efficient checked on us regularly and often to make sure we had all we needed. My favorite would have to be the California roll, Shrimp Tempura, and fried Ice cream. GO FOR IT!

Having been all over the world during 21 years in the U.S. Navy It never crossed my mind that In Hampton VA I would find the best Sushi and Korean Japaneses food. If you go and its your first time you will be back. The spicy seafood combination is one of the best in the world. I have never left without a warm and happy feeling knowing that I was in the best of the best in Virginia!

A great local restaurant in downtown Hampton! Visited for the first time this past Saturday night with a small group of friends. The service was top notch, all the staff was super friendly. Cozy atmosphere. Prices were a bit higher than I expected, but the food was great and overall experience was well worth it. Well be back again! This would be a great date night location.

“good place good food” this is a nice little out of way restaurant. i remember when it was only open for breakfast, now i think its open pretty much all day. i went once when my mom was still alive. its what my parents would say was hoping. its tight inside, but the food is well worth it. its cooked to order and you...

Ive had lots of different sushi at many different places both locally and in multiple states. I can honestly say this is some of the best sushi Ive ever had. The service was outstanding as well, super attentive and very friendly. They have call ahead and take out as well. I will certainly be going back soon.

This is not a premium sushi bar. The sushi is great, but not mind boggling. Prices are in the middle. Decor in back is great. Staff is great. Sushi bars are hit or miss. This is a hit for the casual sushi goer. Im from the southside, but everytime I eat in Hampton I think of Musasis first.

Had kids and grand kids. Ordered a barque picnic. We all sat down for a family meal and then had leftovers and snacks for several days. Every baroque dish is excellent: pulled pork, beef brisket, ribs, sausage. Go wits good: beans, Cole slaw, macaroni and cheese a big seller.

Went for lunch and I had hoped to see more sushi/maki items on the lunch special menu, but what I really wanted was regularly priced. Had the spicy tuna roll as well as the volcano roll, which was awesome - lightly fried with spicy mayo. Will definitely be going back.

Pretty dissapointed here actually. It had good reviews, so I had high hopes. The sushi was so basic. The menu was just plain and boring. The sushi tasted good, but there are so many better places. I wouldnt come back here.

I have never actually left a review for a restaurant before, but due to the quality of the food and service we received at goosefoot, I feel it necessary to leave positive feedback. Absolutely incredible.

John Travolta owns a house in Hampton Roads (under my name) and he often visits the area for a little R&R. When hes in town, chances are youll find him at Musasi. It is his favorite sushi restaurant.
