I really, really wanted to like this place but....Muffaletta with mayonnaise, lettuce and tomato and olive spread no where to be found!! Sacrilege!!! The chicken gumbo consisted of yellow rice and chicken chunks in a cup, no liquid to make it a soup, didnt see any peppers, celery, etc. Some okra would have been a treat . And finally the red beans and rice, if you cant do red beans and rice....Same yellow rice with some beans on top, very latin/spanish looking, not that nice muddy brown color with white rice and maybe some scallions on top. I guess maybe for Darnestown, it rates as excellent New Orleans food?

Ok after driving by this place a few times we finally decided to check it out. Im from Texas and love my BBQ. The moist Brisket and Pulled Pork from here is actually really good and now will be my go to for area BBQ. Sausage had a great smoke flavor and a kick of spice. Baked beans with peaches???? Yup and it was a great combo and would highly recommend. Service was great and friendly. Give them a try and you will not be disappointed. Next time we will try the New Orleans type dishes but if they are anything like the BBQ then I cant wait. A+

Ok, so the chef is actually from Baton Rouge. So the name of the restaurant is inaccurate. But you know, who cares, when the food tastes as good as this food does? The chef is such a gentle and kind soul who clearly gets pleasure from purple enjoying his food. Its a rare find these days, really. He plans a major renovation, with downstairs seating and a rooftop cafe. I cant wait.

I probably had my expectations just a little too high. I had the crawfish etouffe and although it was spicy it lacked depth of flavor. It was a generous portion for the price, which was nice. The service was great. I was disappointed to find out upon arrival that they do not offer dine-in service, so be prepared to get your food to go and dine elsewhere.

Ordered carryout for the family the day after Xmas: shrimp etoufee, jambalaya, veg gumbo, catfish po boy, Cajun pasta (with meat and without) and beignets. Everything was delicious and portions were generous. Highly recommend. Hope the locals and commuters passing through on Seneca will support this new restaurant!

I came here after my coworker raved about the alligator gumbo. I ordered the crawfish etouffee and was not disappointed. Food was delicious! I will definitely be back. Everyone that works here was also very polite and they even checked on me to see how I enjoyed the food.

You cant go wrong ordering anything from the menu. Owner, customer service and food is exceptional! Their daily Soup and anything Cajun is tops. Whats surprising? The pizza! You wont be disappointed. -Charlie U

Good food that delivers and offers more than just pizza. We ordered the Jambalaya, Etouffee, cajun fries and beignets and everything was very good. If they cut their own fries I would give them five stars.

The shrimp poboy was rendered upon a perfectly crispy roll, the sauce tasty with an excellent ratio of toppings to wonderfully crisp fried shrimp. I will definitely go back again!
