Ive known Tom, the owner, since I first moved around here about 10 or 15 years ago. The deli has never once changed for the worse. The food is always amazing, everyone behind the counter always seems to love their job and are having fun. The environment is cozy but not too-close-for-comfort cozy, its just right. Tom is a great guy, and he runs his business well. Every single new person I bring to The Charter Deli thanks me afterward for showing them the "hidden gem" to anyone not from around here. I have never had a bad experience with the food or service there yet, and like I said, Ive been going there for about 10 or 15 years now.

A solid local delivery with a large menu and fresh ingredients. The pricing is fair for what you get and the quality of the food is good. Being a local business the hours are a bit sporatic, with the business closing pretty early most days. A good choice for a quick but fresh lunch.

The deli was a step up from fast food. But the employees were quite forgetful on what I had ordered , and whether or not I had paid. Bbq chicken sub was pretty good, but potato knish was cold in the center and reminded me of instant mashed potato.

Best kept secret in Columbia. This place is the perfect deli lunch place, I almost always get the club sandwich. When I went to HCC I ate here almost every week because its right next to the math building.

Mr. Tom, owner & sandwich artist extraordinare holds court behind the counter of a real neighborhood gem. They have the best, most tender corned beef Ive ever had. Just wish theyd add a panini press! ;-)
