Weve been twice, once on a groupon and once for Restaurant Week. Our first time we had a the sausage and wurst sampler, which was a decent amount of food, but nothing special. Service was average, and the decor was dated and a little dingy. We did enjoy the live music / singer. Our second time was with a larger group, for restaurant week, and maybe we sat too close to the musician but I thought the music was too loud and somewhat obnoxious, especially the pre-recorded stuff when he wasnt playing. Service was poor. The beer selection was nice though, and our first courses were good. However, when it came to desert, (some of the cakes from the glass turntable case in front) it only took a bite to tell that something wasnt right, and then a little poking revealed a pretty extensive layer of mold in between the icing and the cake layers. We pointed it out and had the waitress take it away (she offered another slice!?!). And after we wrapped up our conversation I was a little surprised to see the same cake in the display stand on our way out. We wont be sitting to eat here again, and Im now wondering how long their other products sit on the shelf.

My wife and I extremely enjoyed the food, drink and service at the Cafe Mozart Restaurant. We would definitely go again and encourage others to have a relaxing time there as well. I had the schweine braten which melted in your mouth and my wife had the saurbraten that was prepared extremely well. All sides are worthy of a try if you are unsure of what to get and will not disappoint. I strongly encourage saving room for dessert - We enjoyed the chocolate truffle cake and one piece works for a couple. It hit the spot! The service is attentive and charming with a warm inviting atmosphere. Nothing was too much for the staff to handle. We did not feel rushed or felt like things were dragging where we were waiting for our food. It was served at the right pace. The restaurant is through the deli, however there is a sign in the deli that directs you to the back. People are extremely friendly. Go there and enjoy food!

Overpriced and run down restaurant. My husband and I decided to purchase a Groupon for Cafe Mozart and we ate there recently for dinner. The restaurant seemed dingy and dirty. Our cups were dirty and the seats had stains all over them. The womens bathroom was messy and had run out of paper towels. The service wasnt fast, but it wasnt the worst that weve encountered. We ordered two sausage samplers and some appetizers such as the spaetzle. We thought the food was okay, but were dismayed to see all of the items that we ordered available in box form or at the meat counter in the grocery store attached to the restaurant. We are skeptical as to whether there was anything that we ordered that was actually made fresh and in-house and that did not come from a box. We definitely dont recommend eating at this restaurant.

Loved loved loved it! We werent sure whether to go inside or not bc it doesnt look like a restaurant from outside but rather a deli. Dont be deceived. Walk into the door, and walk through the deli to get to the restaurant in the back. A friend was visiting from out of town, and it was great place for her experiences. The woman playing the "harmonica" and singing "sauerkraut" is priceless and her nice nature and friendly smile could not have been more appreciated and welcomed by our group. Do not believe the one stars. Definitely German and remember this when experiencing this establishment and their "natural" personalities if youre not use to interacting with Germans. Truly a gem!

We had a horrible experience at this restaurant. The food was bad, the service was horrible (we had one waiter for a group of 16 people who did not even want to bring drinks before taking our orders). The kitchen messed up my husbands burger and the chef refused to come and talk to us. The owner was rude and did not even appologize for a horrible experience we had. The waiter added things to our bill that we did not order. On top of all of this, they would not separate our bill even though we asked them to do so prior to sitting down. They said their computers were old and could not do it. It was ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. The worst restaurant service ever.

There wasnt a thing we ordered that wasnt delicious! Sure, you walk through a deli to get to the restaurant but the dinner was worth every. single. penny. My 9 year old son is the pickiest eater ever. We ordered him a hot dog that happened to be authentic frankfurter. He hated it, I loved it and he loved my shweinbraten. we shared. Bittburger pilsner on tap is hard to find but pairs wonderfully with the food. and the dining experience was capped off with a fun loving Frau with an accordion playing the chicken dance among some more traditional "um-pah-pah" music. Wunderbar!

Staff wasnt great. Had some grumpy older lady as a waitress. She made a couple rude comments and always seemed agitated. Food is authentic German! They also have veal. I found authentic German food to be OK, but it wasnt blowing me away. Jaeger Schnitzel (chicken) was basically beef stew (w/o beef) poured over seasoned chicken breast. More herbs used than spices. Paprika seemed to be the commonly used spice between different dishes. Sour kraut comes with many foods (i dont like sour kraut). It wasnt bad and was nice to experience German Dining.

I originally visited the lovely restaurant because I had a Groupon and I work nearby - its such a fun little hidden gem. The food is delicious, affordable and authentic - Ive enjoyed the chicken schnitzel, sausage plate and pork roast. The baked goods are excellent, too! The service can be a little slow and isnt necessarily the warmest - but its not the worst. I love the little grocery near the entrance and all of the gourmet German goods for sale. Theres also live music almost every day, starting around 6 pm. Its absolutely worth a visit!

The food here is very, very good. Unfortunately, the service we received was very sub-par. The older blonde woman that is a waitress here does not treat customers very well if she does not like them. I ate dinner here, but was a little under-dressed. The waitress took our order unhappily and did not return until she finally gave us the check (after making us wait about 10 minutes past when we were done eating). Food was good, and great, authentic accordion player to serenade you during dinner. Hope the other servers are better.

Potatoe salad was cold along with some other cold pasta served with and Veiennese beef stew type of dish.... the gravy made it all eatable and the beef was pretty tender. Fruit flies flying around and hanging on the walls was a BIG BIG issue!! One particular fly stood on the wall behind me my entire visit. Waiter was pretty nice and helpful ... told him abt the flies and he said a delivery had come in earlier that day and the guys left door open or something. Good beer though!

Great service and atmosphere, tasty food. I greatly enjoy eating at this cute little restaurant, and I have never had bad service here. The only negative I have is that they stopped serving rabbit; it used to serve the best Hasenpfeffer. Otherwise youll get decent schnitzle and pretty good veggies. Dont get the bean salad: it obviously comes out of a can. Also, dont sit near the front where they have a round table with mint and flowers: I almost knocked it over when we left.
