Based on Yelp!, Google Reviews and their dessert menu, we turned around and drove almost an hour out of our way to visit this restaurant. I was ready for dinner, my sweetie just wanted dessert and drinks. When he asked the hostess for a dessert menu before she sat us, she very quickly told us that if we wanted desserts to go two doors down for "fabulous" desserts at a place they also own. She proceeded to escort us outside. When we went two doors down, the place had a sadly depleted bakery case of muffins and an ice cream selection. Not what the man wanted, no after dinner drinks, ambience or outdoor seating. The man was seriously soured by being pushed away. After this experience, I know we will never be back. Too bad because one of our Champion Realty offices is right around the corner. Two stars for location and decor. Unfortunately, cant comment on food or service but the hostess didnt make us feel welcomed.

Been here before. Food and service were great. Stopped by last Saturday afternoon and was greeted by a snooty host who told me there would be a 45 minute wait. He did not explain why, since there were several empty tables. Maybe they were short staffed in the kitchen or on the floor, but no explanation was given. I was told he would take my name and I should maybe come back in an hour. Anyway, the greeting and treatment was a total turn off, like they didnt care whether they wanted my business or not. Needless to say, we went elsewhere. I wonder if the owner was aware of how the host was treating people wanting to come in and spend money? Like many Chestertown restaurants who start out well, it somehow goes to their heads, they then act like they can call the shots and treat paying customers poorly, and become a distant memory in a short time. Shouldnt be long before they are gone. What a shame.

Very good food and desserts. I have been here twice. Cute small restaurant in the heart of Chestertown. Its hard to get in certain times though, Its best to make a reservation, the place is very small. They were turning people away after we were seated because they simply did not have any more tables. The waitress was a character. She was an older woman that called us "babies" but in a endearing way. (such as sweetheart etc.) She would ask "are you babies doing okay?" It was rather funny. We got good service from here and the food was very very good. Hope they can expand their dining room in the future. And the cream of crab soup is fantastic!

The Lemon Leaf was a great little stop on a getaway weekend. I had read the reviews and heard the locals rave and they didnt disappoint. Service was great, the food was delicious, and I would totally come back. We tried the cream of crab soup, it was very rich. I recommend if you are just wanting to try it get one to share. The crab cake sandwich was almost all crab and hardly any binding and filler. Overall a great stop and totally a place I frequent if I lived there.

Had breakfast with a group of 10 relatives this past weekend and had a great experience. The waitress was wonderful, the food excellent, and the setting ideal with lots of light and cute decorating touches. We had pancakes, french toast, and omelettes - all were very tasty, the portions very large, and the prices reasonable. This was a busy weekend and yet food came out to the tables quickly and with a smile. We would recommend the Lemon Leaf for breakfast anytime.

Thats an interesting story. We drove an hour out of the way to enjoy the deserts we saw on the Web site. When we arrived we were ushered 2 doors down to have desert. I thought she was doing me a favor but realized the sweet shop next door had old muffins and ice cream. I guess my blue jeans and tennis shoes flagged me as a poor customer. She was simple getting rid of us. I wont be coming there ever in the future.

Such a cute place in this quaint town. So pretty inside with wood floors, exposed brick wall, beams on ceiling. Updated pretty decor. Food is great!! Veggie Crab soup amazing. Sweet potatoe fries fantastic. Awesome desserts. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Except the older woman who can be somewhat snotty if your not older. All in all a great place for breakfast and lunch (did not have dinner there).

I had lunch here a few weeks ago with a local friend and my boyfriend. Loved my crab cake. My boyfriend had the soup and something else. The Cream of Crab Soup was quite simply one of the best he had ever had. I cannot wait to return to Chestertown and have a few bowls myself. Yummy! Service was great and the staff was very friendly.

THE BEST RESTAURANT IN CHESTERTOWN! The MD Cream of Crab is the best soup in town! Also, the Lemon Meringue Pie is to die for! A must have! The servers are always well-mannered and attentive. I always give great tips because they deserve it! This is a nice quiet place to eat on High Street. Perfect for couples or family and friends!

Quaint little restaurant. The service was outstanding and the food was delectable. I had the Maryland crab soup, it was nicely seasoned and had crab in every bite. Large portions. Everything we ordered was fabulous. Onion rings, pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato fries, grilled Romain salad with salmon. Just delicious.

I make an excuse to visit my mom 1.5 hours from my house to eat here. Best Crab Bisque on the planet. The grilled Romaine salad is a dream. If its ever taken of the menu, my mom may never see me again. Everything on the menu is fantastic. Folks from far away know this place is a great excuse to visit such an amazing town.

Not bad. We ate a light dinner, sharing cream of crab soup and an olive and mozzarella salad. Plus snacking on our toddlers order of sweet potato wedges with sugar and cinnamon. All were very good and recommended. The desserts were just so-so, including the acclaimed lemon meringue pie.

We have been there many times and have been there with large parties and tables for two. It is consistently good. I just wish for the price of a typical meal that it was amazing and worth a fifth star. Not.

Excellent service and very cozy, friendly and nice atmosphere. The brunch is actually breakfast and the lunch or dinner menu is the typical cafe one, with more fish dishes, but there are not a lot of choices.

Stumbled across this place after passing Arbys and McDs. Wonderful little cafe with a nice staff and great food. Simple things like crab soup, ham sandwich, and coconut pie were just perfect.

Nice clean restaurant. Good fine food, though a bit pricey. One of our orders was completely messed up. The staff very professionally took care of it. Over all a good experience.

3 out of 5 peoples dinner orders werent correct. Extremely long wait and mediocre food. The waitress was friendly though. That was the only good thing about this place.
