The restaurant sits on the water in the historic district of Cambridge. In general the place was fine but basically it was worn down and need of renovations. The wood tables were sticking and the benches were won and dirty. The food was not very good. The kids order grill cheese, too much bread and one slice of American cheese (for 8 bucks). It seems a shame that being on the Bay that they could have had more local flavor – seafood and produce. I order the Orange Roughy and did not realize until later that this fish is being overfished and being extinct (see Wikipedia). Not sure why you would serve a fish that does not come from the bay and one that comes from the deep ocean and being overfished to the point of extinction. I would hope they would update the menu and the restaurant as it is a great location.

Looking for a great place to eat. This isnt the it. Only four in our party. Waitress was good, only one thing her error (that happens). $127.00 way TOO much money for poor food, and customer service. Note, and that was with a complete non edible serving being sent back and not charged. The manager on duty that evening was also the chef, and wasnt prepared for either of his skills. No what can I help you with, or im sorry that you were dissatisfied, or can I do anything to fix this. Called back today to speak to the manager and the owner found nothing wrong with the way it was handled or her customers were treated. To say the least we will not be back and will tell others of our misfortune.

We live in Cambridge,and have not been in Snappers for 10 + years . Thought we would give it another try.With all the good food that we have experienced in town over the years we were disappointed ,but not surprising. The server that we had was great,which is an improvement.The food was not, Sysco all the way .The burger was a prefab and not even edible,the cob salad was worse, chicken was frozen and out of a bag not even warmed. Ended up sending entire meal back and when we got the bill they tried to charge us $65 for a meal we couldnt and wouldnt eat , ended up paying $25 for 1 mojito,2 Yengling . DO NOT RECOMEND P.S. went to Bistro Poplar EXCELLENT

Located down a dirt road, on the water; its an interesting little hole-in-the-wall. Overall, a bit overpriced for the quality we received. "Gourmet" chicken tenders appetizer is a whole 3 (not hand-breaded) tenders? For $10? We even went specifically because the online menu (confirmed by the resort concierge before we left) specified mussels, and the waitress made it sound like they never had mussels, ever. Food was a bit slow getting out as well (the check too). Okay for sports-bar-type food, but nothing special. Really just left us disappointed more than anything else.

I was in Cambridge for a visit and asked a local for a recomendation for some good waterfront dining. "Snappers" Waterfront Cafe was what she pointed me toward. I was glad she did. The atmosphere was fun and friendly. My server, Gary, was very knowledgeable of the menu and made it real easy to get a good meal. The owners came out to check on the guest and ended up spending a wile at my table, talking and making my wife and me very comfortable. I would recomend Snappers for anybody, from young to old. Try it!

Racial Segregated at this restaurant during my family reunion. We had scheduled reservation and the owner Laura wanted us to sit on the right side of the deck, we were a large party and needed more seating. Rather than letter us seat on the left, she stated she was reserving this area for "future" guest. We were paying customers ready to eat, however we were black and she discriminated against us. Please dont eat at this racist restaurant. Learn from my experience. Thank you!

Fantastic experience!! My husband and I went there on a date last night our server named Gary was the most pleasant and enjoyable person we have ever met. The food was amazing. Ribs and broiled crab cakes delicious. The manager touches tables not once but twice with a full restaurant. Needless to say this was our first time there but will not be our last. Amazing dinner and fantastic service = 5 out of 5 stars!

Been going here for over 10 years and until a couple of years ago it was always great. Declining service reached a low ebb the other night, however and after I quietly informed my server, the manager charged out yelling, till he was inches from me. After failing to get a reaction from me, he retreated, and that was the end of it. It also deserves mention that our crab cakes werent what they used to be.

They have a good variety of pretty decent food for the most part. I like the fish tacos and crab cakes. I was very disappointed in the Huevos Rancheros though. The vegetables were almost raw and the water weeping from the undercooked vegetables made the dish a runny mess. But I still like this place and will keep going back for burgers, crab cakes and fish tacos.

This was the worst restaurant I have ever had there was a rat in my sandwich and my waiter forced me at gun point to eat it! Then they threw me into the freezer and I was not released until later that year. Also I was served a crab that was still alive and pinched off one of my arms. I highly recommend this place for any family with lots of children!!

Awful food, uninspired menu and staff, and the atmosphere of a frat house. Also, the manager and his son (shift manager) were operating on a level of intelligence so staggeringly low it was difficult to communicate with them. I would have rather paid forty dollars for a big mac.

I LOVE this place!!! Every time Im in MD we must eat here. Havent had a bad meal. My fav are the fish tacos and crab cakes. Yummy drinks, appetizers; they have it all. Have to admit, I love sitting outside on the water. Nice to watch the boats come in/out.

We get carry-out here a lot, BBQ ribs are awesome.They have good burgers with a lot of flavor.I feel the meals I get here for dinner nights are fairly enough priced, to some of you reviewers you get what you pay for its not going to be a dollar menu here lol.

I found the atmosphere to be pretty chill. Love the fact that its located right of the water and Im sure come Sumer time the patio will be the place to be. Otherwise the Mahi Mahi fish tacos were to die for!! I would recommend this place to anyone.

After having a bad experience there with the owners daughter ( she was my waitress also) and having talked to a few other people, they have had the same bad experience with the owners daughter. I Would not recommend Snappers to my worst enemy!

Nice spot on the water, nice views. This place knows just what it is and doesnt try to be something its not. Havent been to dinner here but lunch several times. Great bar food, nice staff nice bar. Try the delmonico club....exceptional.
