First time visiting. The staff was very friendly and prompt. The place was about 3/4 filled and they stopped by the table often. Their pork dumplings were huge (wife joked that I would be full before our meals came). My wife had the spicy bean curd and I had the spicy pork. Delicious and the portions were huge. We will both enjoy another meal at home tomorrow. From the outside, doesnt look fancy. Inside is fairly plain, but the plants were interesting. The also have a window into the area where they are preparing dough, so you can see them working the noodles. Well be adding this to our rotation of places to visit.

Korean food? You must be joking! The food (seafood noodles and beef with veggie) is totally Americanized, and this is even not the worst because many Americanized Asian food is creative and taste great. The worst is the quality! For example, the shrimp is not deveined (gross!), tons of sand grits in the clams, chewing the squid is like chewing a gum, the oldest beef I ever had in asian restaurants and comes with thick cornstarch. The soup base tastes terrible and definitely contains MSG!! Comparing with many Korean restaurants in Ellicott City, the food is much more expensive and much less tasty. Not recommended at all.

I have been coming here for years since college when I craved some authentic Korean food. This place has always been consistent with food and service. Place is behind a 7 11 shopping center in beltsville off route 1. I always get their spicy seafood soup, chicken wings, dumplings, Jaja mung noodle dish. Parking can be really tight in evenings. If your in the area craving some good Korean food this is the spot. Prices are average. With a party of 3 we had 3 entrees and 2 apps total came out to around $75 including tip.

The service is always great. Fast professional. I love the fried chicken, the spicy flavor is a little too much for me but I like the garlic version without spice. Their on site made noodles are great with the black bean sauce, thats a very affordable option. I think the interior looks nice and you dont really expect it when you can only see the outside storefront. I always come here! So does everyone else do it will be busy on Friday nights or weekends unless you come at 8:00 or so.

Throughout the entire meal you will hear a loud thumping noise. Its the sound of them in the back stretching out the noodles. Theres actually a window you can view them doing this. This process is ever so important in making their jajangmyun and jambong the best in the area. Also if you want literally best fried chicken ever, get the kangpoogi. Once you have this you may stop going to bonchon. Yes, theyre that good!

Outstanding. Quality compares to Korean Chinese food served in Korea. We got three dishes, all of which I would recommend. First, noodles in black bean sauce is very much like what youd get in Korea, and the noodles are freshly made all day long. Fried chicken in garlic sauce. Good flavor, very crispy. Great for sharing. Spicy seafood soup with noodles. Good flavor all around, though not too spicy.

They have hand pulled noodle dishes that are very tasty. First time we went we were wondering why they didnt have more noise insulation with the tae Kwon do studio next door. It turned out it was the chef slamming the noodles on a table. There is a window you can see the guy as hes making the noodles. Authentic Korean noodles. Very good.

My wife and I tried this restaurant at the suggestion of a Korean co-worker. The food is very good and we both liked the fact that everything seemed very authentic, the menu was in Korean with English descriptions, the entire staff and 99% of the patrons were also Korean. Definitely suggest for a great dining experience.

국수가 왜그래요. 수타로 알고있는데 퍼석퍼석한 느낌의 맛은 처음이예요. 옛날 맛있게 먹던생각에 지나가는길이면 가는데 갈때마다 실망.

Ordered a series of samsun menu - samsun spicy noodle soup, samsun black bean noodle, and samsun fried rice. Quality of food was lower than expected. Reminded me of a restaurant in a small village in Korea. Service was just okay. No one said Hi when coming in, nor Good bye when going out.

Love this place. The food is delicious, and the staff (and management) are very friendly. The person who reviewed it with one star and complained about the lunch buffet must have confused it with a different restaurant because this place doesnt have (and has never had) a lunch buffet.

I visit this little place as much as I can. Their Jam Pong is out of this world! Even my mother (whos Korean and picky) says its really good. Ive only tried this and the Ja Jungmyeun, so cant speak for any other dishes. Their specialty is noodles (they hand-make them).

Probably the best korean food around the College Park area hands down. You have to get the hand made noodles with the fresh black bean sauce. I also really like the sweet and sour pork (make sure to ask for the sauce on the side so that the pork stays nice and crispy)

Always good service and good food. Its only getting better every time I am here. Ive been their customer ever since they opened, back in my college days (10+ years). Its quite crowded around lunch/dinner time, so be sure to be there early or prepare to wait.

By far one of the best places to go to for a nice filling bowl of chicken and noodles. Ask for the Ja Jang Myeon, its one of their specialties. It is a black bean noodle done very nicely and very appetizing. Some might call it a bang for your buck.

The spicy beef soup barely had beef but it did have a nice assortment of seafood including shrimp, clams, and squid. The noodles are freshly made but make sure to slurp them up fast. The free dessert drink was wonderfully refreshing

Definitely a 5+ Star place, the food is out out this world tasty and delicious, people are very nice. The cherry in the Menu is Extra Spicy Seafood Noodle Soup. Already topped the list of my most favorite places to eat.

The worst service. The waitress brought the bill while we are in the middle of eating because they want us to leave so they can serve others in a quick rotation. This happened not only this time but everytime we come.

Hands down the best jaejangmyeon in the whole east coast. I used to go here every week during my phd days. After moving to New York, I have been failing to find anything that is even half as good as Dae Rae Won.

I had to get the noodles with black bean sauce and it was very good. I also ordered the fried dumplings which were huge (I prefer the smaller ones). Good service as well. Will come back when in the area again.

Korean style Chinese Restaurant They make noodle by hands! You can hear heavy and dull sound from the kitchen when they make noodles i think spicy noodle soup is much better than soy bean source noodle

Daraewon is the best for jajangmyun... The tangsuyuk and dangpongee is the best. Been coming for over 15 years. Still the best in MD. Price has gone up a little more than inlfation should allow.
