The only reason this bistro is getting one-star is because that is the lowest rating allowed. I drove from Michigan to Baltimore to visit some friends and they recommended this restaurant. I am a foodie and truly enjoy gourmet cuisine. I have traveled all over the country and even to Japan to experience delicious foods - I will never return to this bistro. At the beginning of our $400+ meal for (6) our waiter spilled my drink and did not do much to apologize for it. The food was $25+ a plate and left much to be desired. My friends order came late and my other friends order was a poorly executed (but pricey) scallop dish. If I wanted to eat frozen food I would have stayed home. When the meal was almost over our waiter took plates (that still contained large food portions) without asking and reached over my friend to take her plate. Rude. When we finally received our bill there were items listed that we never ordered and for some reason the waiter lacked the capacity to split out bill as requested at the beginning of the meal. We asked the waiter to split our bill and he told US (the customers!) to split it for him and he would charge the cards. After 45 minutes of trying to figure out how to split the bill with vague food items like "hot food," I decided to speak with the manager. The manager never apologized or seemed empathetic. She told me that she could split our bill but then stated that it was our fault the bill was confusing because we had (6) people and we ordered (3) appetizers. As a supervisor for a 4 Diamond AAA Resort, I can say that blaming the customer for terrible guest service is beyond ridiculous. I have never had an issue with restaurants like Applebees splitting bills without second thought. After an hour we finally figured out the bill (no help from waiter or manager). While we were trying to understand what we were being charged for the manager took it upon herself to gossip about our table with one of her employees at the front of the building. I will NEVER return to this bistro. I have received better guest service from a McDonalds and far more attentive waiters at an Olive Garden. Worst dining experience in my life.

met with 5 other friends for dinner and drinks at Marie Louise last night. I was very disappointed! I have eaten at the restraurant many times and for the most part been pretty satisfied. Not true this time around! Everyone arrived early and went to the second floor bar. We all ordered drinks. It took about 15 minutes for the bar tender to get out drinks. In the meantime, the waitress came upstairs to let us know that our table was ready any time we were. The bar tender was standing in front of us when she came up. It still took another 10 minutes before he cashed us out and only after we asked him. We finally made it to our table where the waitress was very nice! We ordered 2 bottles of wine and a few appetizers. They were all delivered in a timely fashion. However, it took close to one hour before our meals were served! I ordered the Hanger Steak. While the steak was flavorful, it was much less than room temperature. The potatoes and hercot verts were cold as well. For a $22.00 meal, I expected more. My dinner partners were pleased with their meals. I was not. I decided to eat the steak as it did taste good, and I was starving. Also, I didnt want to have to wait another hour for my meal.. The group ordered more wine and other drinks, as well and a few deserts. Our bill came to well over $300.00. Im sure this wont be the last time I go to Marie Louise, but if the service and food do not improve, I will stop frequenting them. I hope it doesnt come to that.

We arrived at 6pm for our 6:15 reservation, and were finally told by the disinterested hostess (who had just finally appeared to deal with the crowd of twelve people standing in the small entryway, all of who, like us, had reservations for 6 or 6:15) at 6:20 that it would be another fifteen minutes until we were seated. After we were finally seated the waitress was rude and rarely came to our table. Twenty minutes after drink order was placed we asked the waitress what was going on and were rudely informed that we needed to just wait because they only had one bartender and that our waitress very busy. Finally at 7:20 we asked another waitress if we could have an bowl of table bread and were brought our drink orders minus one cup of coffee, aka, we only received two glasses of wine. At 7:35 we had still not been served our food and needed to leave to make our next engagement. We left $20 on the table to cover our wine, found the hostess and informed her that we were leaving. This was the ONLY time when any of the wait staff appeared to care at all about us as customers. I was incredibly disappointed and angry with the service and treatment I received at this restaurant and will NEVER patronize them again.

I used to like the place but now the restaurant has gone WAYYYYY DOWN. The owner employs one manager named Marie who is AN INEPT RUDE MORON. She had my family wait for a waiter for 20 minutes , while the table across from us got a waitress for less than 2 minutes. As soon as we got a server who was named Bulak, the service was fine. We waited another hour for our food to come over and we decided to leave but our server brought our dishes in and called Marie over. Do you know what this "restaurant manager" had told me? "WELL THESE THINGS HAPPEN. DONT YOU KNOW THAT? I AM APOLOGIZING TO YOU ARENT I?????" NEVER OFFERED ANY REPARATIONS TO US. THEN SHE ROLLER HER EYES IN FRONT OF ME. THE SERVER OFFERED FREE DESSERT. SHE NEVER DID. The server Bulak should be manager and Marie should be taking lessons from him. She did not care about our patronage. DO NOT GO HERE. I repeat....DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. GO THE OTHER CAFES AROUND THE CORNER.

Went during restaurant week with a group of 9. Reservations at noon. Order was taken quickly. Soups and salads showed up promptly. It went downhill after that. No check in from the server to let us know about our meals. Around 1:15 we asked how much longer. (Two of our party had to leave by this time.) Entrees got to us a little bit later. We had tried to cancel the orders for the two people who had to leave. Those orders came, they boxed them up. We didnt want to have to pay. The orders should have been cancelled. They took the entrees back and charged us for the soup and salad that these two ate and the owner would not comp our table, with a $150 tab, a soup and salad after waiting over an hour for our meals. Poor decision. Clearly not interested in building repeat business.

Oh how the mighty have fallen. We used to go here all the time for amazing French food and the best desserts and service, now everything was just,in a word... awful. Went with five friends and spent 450$ on drinks, apps, entrees, dessert and coffee and nothing was memorable. The scallops were even freeze dried! If Im going to pay $25 for five scallops they should be better quality, or at least say they are frozen on menu! the staff was rude and the manager, I assume, thought of us as an inconvenience. When we had issues with charges (wrongly added) to our bill it took literally 90 minutes to sort out our bill and the manager never said anything positive or remorseful to us. Needless to say we will not be returning. They are obviously they are in their way out.
