My party of 4 waited quite sometime to be seated but luckily we found 4 chairs at the bar. We had called ahead but had the same wait time of almost 45 minutes when we got there 25 mins later. From the bar We had great drinks and a few appitizers with fair service considering they were packed. The gentleman bartender was politely attentive but I wouldnt say overly friendly. He was very busy so i can understand he may not of had time for random chit chat. We had never been there and tried new drinks which Im pretty certain the gentleman had been very aware we were first-timers but never once asked if we liked our selections. I wish he had asked so I could of complimented him on my drink. Unfortunately we never did get any of the special condiments we orderd with our appitizers...I thought they were a bit pricey but tasted good. I had noticed that about 10 mins after our appitizers came..another set of our same appitizers came. .with all the sauces...we were asked if we ordered two more appitizers and when we said no..the server quickly left. We could tell they were confused and unimpressed. It would have been nice to at least been offered the extra appitizers. ..we would have paid for them no problem..we were Hungry! We asked if we could order our dinner and have it served to our table and he said we could. Once we were seated at the table we soon had water and asked if we would like more drinks..when asked if we knew what we wanted. We told our female server we had already ordered ahead at the bar...thats when things got a bit uncomfortable. It was obvious she was not impressed. Since we were asked to pay at the bar prior to going to our table..all 4 of us had paid for our complete meals and drinks already. We didnt understand what would have been the problem. Once more the server came aprox. 20 mins later to ask if we needed another drink..we did not but asked about our food. We had ordreed it about 40 mins prior from the bar. She informed us we were next as they has a party of 25 just before us. Our food was brought out about 10 minutes after. Things were ok..not great but not bad either. I did think my mushroom pizza was pretty good. Unfortunately We never saw our server again. We actually just got up and left a short time after we were finished eating. I see all the wonderful reviews and Im sure it could have been great. .but after 4 of us spend close to 200 on 5 drinks total and our food..we would probably not return. Had our service been a bit better, we would of gave it another try. And one last thing...my friend got a $30 steak meal and it was not hot. He was pretty disappointed with that. Maybe the server could of made things right..but she never returned to our table. Iv heard great things and overall we were sadly disappointed.

Great, locally sourced food with a unique menu offering a complex twist on common dishes among with consistently good customer service. No complaints. Over the past two years we have eaten at Blaze repeatedly and I now have to alter my review. Today was a very disappointing experience that will make it unlikely for us to visit this establishment again. While the nice ambiance has not changed - this being a good thing - the menu has not either. Over the past two years the Blaze offers the identical items. Their manifestation, however, has changed for the worse. Today, a Monday in April, the crab cakes were shy of uncooked. While there certainly is a fine line between a crab briquette and something resembling tuna salad these were cool, barely held together and lacking any seasoning or crunch. The lack of seasoning was made up by the poutine, a soggy and salty mess that thankfully arrived first to a hungry table, otherwise, it would have been fully rejected. The burgers ... were cooked to order. I cannot deny that. The rest was abysmal. The pickle accompanying my burger looked like something pulled off a leftover plate from last nights party. Limp, dried, lacking any crispness. The so called truffle aioli certainly never heard of truffles, never mind included them. Instead, it clashed violently with the whole grain mustard to create a rather dense and bland flavor of bitter emptiness. The other burger on our table, I did not taste, but, reportedly, it arrived cool and was barely eaten at the end of the meal. Why did we finish our meal, tip, and leave without a critique? Sometimes you are just tired, at the end of a long day and want to enjoy a nice warm meal that someone else prepares ... and if that does not happen it is just easier to go home and agree, in a single sentence, that this is not a place we are likely to visit again.

Great environment, love the smell of wood fire as soon as you walk in! Very cool setting. We were in town to visit U Maine for accepted students day and were looking for a place to grab a quick bite to eat with some tasty local beer options. Truthfully, the 50+ draughts on tap is what brought us in. Ordered some poutine to start, which came out quickly and was super delicious. Despite how empty the restaurant was (we were one of maybe 3 tables and a few lone people at the bar), our meals took a very long time and when they arrived, were not as we ordered. The manager took great care of us though and we were ultimately very pleased with the experience. Id make a return stop if we end up choosing UMO!! The beers were delicious!

We stopped in at Blaze after reading reviews and talking to locals. The atmosphere was great, very relaxing and we could hear each other talk. We ordered a flight (6 tasters) of their craft beer and loved 4 out of the 6. For food, we had wings (blaze bbq) and they were okay, as well as the bbq pizza. The pizza was a bit disappointing, as it was not very flavorful and the crust was too thin, making it soggy. All in all, a great place for atmosphere and beer, but we werent sold on the food.

Blaze is my go-to spot for an off-the-charts burger. Their blaze burger rocks my socks, and I dont recall the name, but theres one with grilled onions and blue cheese I think? Holy cow Im drooling a bit. The staff is great, they wore costumes for Halloween, which shows they can provide great service but also dont take themselves too seriously (its a fine dining place but not stuffy, I dont feel out of place eating there). 10/10 would eat again
