First and foremost. Make reservations elsewhere in this area of Portland. It should have been a red flag when all the nice looking and raved about restaurants had half hour waits, and this one was serving about 3 people on a Saturday night. The atmosphere looked like a poor college kids dorm. Nasty carpet, old paint, nothing working in the bathroom, no one in sight when we walked through the broken front door. There's about ten selections to choose from that don't sound horrible or aren't marked with an insulting price. The waitress was all of sixteen and acted it. Snobby with better things to do.... Food was small (lobster) and cold. Apparently one packet (yes, a PACKET) of butter is OK. Not. Had to ask for silverware and napkins. Honestly, I've dined at some of the classiest restaurants, and some of the worst burrito joints in the barrios of southern California. This was the worst. As a born and raised Mainer, maybe I can tell (or have been spoiled) by real authentic seafood restaurants, that ANY positive survey about this place is either by the tiny staff there trying to boost business, or by uneducated people. Not trying to be mean, but if your a tourist or even a local. THIS PLACE GIVES MAINE AND SEAFOOD RESTAURANTS ALIKE, A HORRIBLE NAME.

:30 we were seated right away, very rare for a family of six. There are three places to sit. Indoors and and upper and lower deck. I ordered the rueben with pasta salad. The sandwich was great but the pasta salad was very bitter and bad but it was a side so it did not take away from the meal too much. My sister ordered a salad and did not like it. She claimed it was bitter. My mother ordered steamers and love them. My brother ordered a lobster roll and loved it. Most of my family ordered the new england clam chowder and my father said it was the best he has ever had. Only one unisex bathroom so that added some negative points. All the servers were friendly and easy on the eyes. All in all my family really enjoyed the restaurant, food, and service. This place had great menu choices. The food took a normal amount of time for the amount of people there. All in all I recommend this restaurant (sorry if this review was a little disorganized I just wrote my thoughts down as they came)

We feel sick; Lets start from the beginning. We ordered ginerale and lemonade - both horrible. What was worse than the watered down ginerale and horrible lemonde was the food. We ordered the seafood platter and the shrimp. The haddock was watery, bland and clearly frozen. The clams were bland rubbery and not even worth trying to choke down. Not only was the food quality insulting for the price but half the plate was filled with the worst brown fries Ive ever tasted. The shrimp plate was pathetic. They seemed to be the shrimp youd get from a can at the grocery store. Super tiny that they had to give you a huge portion of these shrimp to make it equal a few normal sized shrimp. Do not go there. Save your money. Save your time. Save your stomach.

Not a great restaurant. It took 2 1/2 hours for them to seat, feed and bill us. The waitress also screwed up my soup order (I didnt send it back since it took over 20 minutes to get it) and screwed up my wifes grandfathers soup. He told her that it wasnt what he ordered and she actually argued with him about it. I thought the customer was always right? My fish tacos lacked flavor and my wifes teriyaki steak tips tasted like they didnt have any seasoning whatsoever on them. They also cost $13 and there were about 3 of them on a "sandwich" the size of a hamburger bun.

I ordered the "tavern steak". The steak had a horrific taste to it, I ordered it medium rare, was completely undercooked almost as if they waved it over the flame. The cooks microwaved the steak and when it came out the second time it was still completely undercooked. I gave it to the waiter and did not order anything else. The waiter was extremely polite and took the steak off my billeven after I was a little rude to her.

Indifferent to vaguely hostile service (at best). Appalling food. This is my first review because Ive rarely felt so cheated as I did at the Dry Dock. If I can save one person from wasting their time and money here, Ive put some good in the world. Seriously, I blame myself by not checking the reviews first. There are plenty of great places to go steps from this dump. Save yourself.

We love the dry dock! As a mainer, born and raised I believe the dry dock really is The way Life should be! Double bar! Double Dining room! Amazing staff, and service! And dont even get me started on the food, Lobster Mac and cheese that cant be topped! The views are phenomenal, and so Maine! The Dry Dock is the kind of place that makes me proud of live in vacationland!!

Who seriously writes reviews on Google Maps? Or takes them seriously? Get a grip people, youre eating at restaurant. Youre paying people to make you food and clean up after you, and then you complain about it. Way to be. Youre real critics. (p.s. thought the chowder was pretty darn chowder-y, but waitstaff was gorgeous so the chowder wasnt a huge deal).

We like this place especially the outdoor seating overlooking the working harbor and we find ourselves going back time after time. All our visits have been lunch or late afternoon. Most recent visit on 7/7/10 we had the lobster chowder, lobster salad sandwich, apps beers etc.. Sweet potato fries are awesome. Never had a bad meal or experience here?

I usually go there on the weekends with my girlfriend. The food is always good. Do yourself a favor and try the potato skins. The wine list isnt half bad as me and my better half tend to have a couple of glasses while we enjoy our food. As far as the bad reviews, I havent seen anything like that. Ive been going here on and off for a couple years now.

Out standing, we were visiting Portland From Charleston and had Lunch at the Dry Dock. Everything we had was perfect, The service was fast and very good, sitting on the deck the second time we ate there was even better. You can see lobster boat and enjoy the sun. They have an Bloody Mary that is exceptional.

The bartender, a brunette in a black dress with gray tulips on it was in a really bad mood, and should not have been working on Sunday. I want her to know that when youre in a service occupation, you really should be nice to the people you wait on, and you were not nice. You had a really bad attitude.
