My opinion is quite bias! I was a server there about ten years ago. I worked the graveyard shift. I absolutely ADORED, LOVED, and, given the chance, Id gladly return! The entire staff, including management, understood my lack of experience and eased me into the lifestyle happily. Every night was a surprise! Slidell! Graveyard shift! Clibs closing! Hospitals , doctors offices, and attorneys offices all closed and breaked for lunch late! Perfect! Plus, Im a hyper, customer-friendly Libra personality that LOVES working in an on-the-toes kind of job! Not to mention, ALL MEALS WERE FREE! I TRIED EVERYTHING! I told the cook, which I MADE my b-f-f my first day. THE COOK!!!! Of coarse, Im not stupid! I totally LOVE FOOD! Plus, if the cook is your friend, your tables would not only be his/her best (every time) but would always be prompt and correct! Mrs. Chris, if you read this, I still love you! She was the BEST shift manager that Ive EVER had! ANYWHERE! Seriously, the atmosphere, staff, food and just the over-all experience is to die for! Well, you have to like old-fashioned diners that play one-stop oldies and neon lights. If you can deal with that and are looking for a great meal, killer malts or milkshalkes served with a smile, check it out! Its across from Northshore Hospital, or it may be called Osners Hospital.

Horrible service. Been here twice. The first time the food was okay but our server was rude. She wasnt just slow or new but she had a nasty attitude the whole time. Decided to give it another chance a few years later. We walked in and waited to be seated. Nobody greeted us or anything. We stood there for a few minutes waiting for someone to seat us or at least acknowledge us but nothing. Keep in mind there were at least three employees that looked directly at us and looked away. Eventually we went up to the counter and asked if they were seating people. The girl at the counter gave some excuse about having to buss tables (which is completely fine). The problem is not that we would have had to wait for a table; the problem is that we were not greeted even after standing there for minutes and that nobody let us know that they would be with us shortly or anything. Dont recommend anyone coming here unless you want nasty attitudes and blank stares from employees with your meal.

Ate dinner there on 10/11/2015. We were a family of 4 and were seated right away. The items on the menu seemed a little pricy. We got our food, everything looked good, however it didnt have much flavor. My husband got shrimp/catfish which looked and tasted as if it had came our of a bag in the freezer. The rest of us got hamburger/cheeseburgers. They had no taste. Mine even had onions/mushrooms on it. The bill came $52 for 3 burgers and 1 dinner with 4 drinks. We could have ate somewhere great for that. The service was ok. I asked for a to-go drink. She offered me a cup, but I asked if I could have a fresh one because mine had been sitting for a bit and was watered down. She said ok. Then I saw her talking about me to a co-worker. She didnt realize I could read her lips. That did not make me happy. We were full when we left, but I do not plan on going back.

I came in last week on a friday night. I was seated and refreshments delivered, waited almost 20 mins to order. Our waitress was in the bathroom and seemed very loaded when she got to the table. She was impatient and unkind, she rushed us through order because her children came in. She sat them in booth up front by door and they got far better service than we did. As Pam was coming out of bathroom, cleared her nose with nose spray another waitress seeing that we had been waiting, came over to take our order for her. She actually got in trouble for that. She had blond curly hair. I pray that the owner reads this, he needs to get rid of Pam, the place would much more enjoyable without help like that.

Thieves. They give you your bill and then at the register they phantomly added 25% more than the bill stated....and then get all uppity when you call them on it with no plausible explanation. The food was edible, certainly nothing "good", and the staff were dumb as rocks...gee thanks for not providing a spoon with the soup....morons. The little b*tch at the register ought to find more suitable work, perhaps in used car sales, or mafia based enterprises. The bathroom was as disgusting as your typical gas station restroom...majorly disgusting. There are much better crappy places to eat than this cesspool.

Visited on 03/17/2016. Service was nonexistent. We literally did not have a waitress. After 15 minutes of waiting, we flagged a waitress to take our order. She said she had to go get her book. She then took a multiple trips around the restaurant before she went to get her book. Food was alright but I expected better for the price. $6.50 for a grilled cheese (no fries or drink, just the sandwich) is a bit ridiculous. This was the second time we have been here. Last time we experienced the same issues but just attributed it to the restaurant being packed. I wont be going back.

Our server was more concerned with another server taking her table than waiting on us. The catfish special was very very bland. No spices in the meals at all. The opposite of whst you would expect from a local diner. The server forgot about our salads. Then served them with the wrong dressings. They had a customer just sitting sound asleep over their meal and newspapers the entire time we ate. It was 1:30 p.m. I think that is inappropriate to allow. We will not be eating there again. First and last time.

Big Easy Diner has a theme of an old fashioned diner with black and white tiles. They were full of people on a Saturday morning, but at the time the kitchen was backed up and it took a while to get our food. When i did get my food, it tasted room temperature, but i did not send it back because it took awhile to get it and would take longer to redo it. Overall great breakfast restaurant. 4/5 stars

This place is amazing I had never eaten there until I took a lady I was sitting with and she loved the place. Took me a few years to go back because of all the new restaurants opening. Finally my spouse and I wanted something different for breakfast and we went there. We frequent this place at least once or twice a week and we love the servers. Great food, great portions for the price.

Horrific, The staff was pleasant but the owner was in back swatting flys over the grill and food and all. When brought to his attention he copped an attitude towards me and the staff. If a member of health and services read this......might want to take a peek for if this was his response towards this health violation I can just imagine what the rest of the kitchen looks like.
