The waitor insisted the my daughter and I move to a small table beside the wall so that the MEN in Business suit can have our table. We are an RN and a Doctor not dressed in business suits. He also refused to accept one order of three items on the same order sheet. He made us felt like we were stupid by completing the order form for us because he was impatient. Two items on the order were missing. The Gumbo soup was really a bowl full of rice. Too much fried corn dough!!

"dining at the little tea shop is like going home to your grandmas house. ive never loved being called ""honey"" and ""darlin"" so much in my life. a classic diner, this restaurant is most popular with downtown employees for lunch. order the lacy special: roasted chicken sandwiched between sweet cornbread and smothered in gravy. the staff is wonderful. and the matriarch, su lauck, is a memphis gem. Regardless of what the folks at The Arcade say, Little Tea Shop is actually the oldest diner in Memphis. With an awesome menu that changes every day and some of the best cornbread on the planet the tea shop never disappoints. When you get there be sure you ask for Omar. The one and only downfall of this place is that its not open on the weekends.

I have eaten here many times over the years and have to say that the service is always great and the food is also consistently good. You can count on getting your food very quickly normally. Now its interior is very unique in terms of its design / style. So do not expect an upscale dining experience if you plan to eat here.

Friendliest service! Limited menu, but every option sounds delicious. Its all southern choices that I saw, I had the Lucy Special and it was just like grandma made it. The chicken, mashed potatoes, and gravy combo scored highly with me. Oh, and the flavorful cornbread is definitely something to look forward to!

This is about as perfect as you can get. The food is exceptional. Classic southern home cooking. Do yourself a favor and eat here. You will not be disappointed. Do yourself another favor and sit in Omars section..best service in Memphis. We cant say enough about the food and the service.

This is the place where I finally tried white bean soup and I wasnt disappointed. The waiter was very helpful and extremely courteous. We also had dessert with tea, of course. One of the best American Classic restaurants Ive visited in the past 10 years.

The atmosphere was lacking, not very clean. The name is very deceptive. Its not food you would expect to eat at a "tea room". Its more country cooking. My chicken was so dry it was almost inedible. They forgot to bring the cobbler we ordered. A bust...

We had our breakfast here and we just loved it. This place has the best service in town. They serve nice classic food like soups, sandwiches and sallads to a good price.

Good home cooking with a different menu every day of the week. Locals eat here for lunch all the time. Try the salmon croquettes on Monday.
