It is hard to find a place with authentic Tex-MeX taste. El Portal offers a great variety of authentic Tex-Mex food plates at a very affordable price. Cant beat the Margaritas. The restaurant is attended and served by the owner who is very nice and ensures every customer gets special attention and great service. I recommend this restaurant for anybody who wants to taste real authentic Tex-Mex food. El Portal is the best restaurant in town offering this.

I dont do a -0 Because it is no available. The place is horrible. I saw the waiter reusing the red salsa that they give you with the chips. THAT WAS DISGUSTING. If they are recycling the salsa who knows what else is happening in the kitchen. The place is dirty, the service is bad and on of that they give you recycled food!!!

Amazing food superfast service and a great atmosphere. This is my favorite restaurant in Covington. Dont like the looks fool you its the best restaurant around. The staff are super amazing and the food comes out so fast if youre in there for lunch you will be able to enjoy your food without having to rush.

Terrible service. Place feels old and dirty. Wait staff had trouble getting order correct. Food was not good. Everything tasted odd. Chicken was bland in taco salad. Salsa did not taste fresh. Confusion on paying bill... you have to walk up to a register after you eat to pay.

This is my all time favorite restaurant. My boyfriend & I come here literally atleast once a week, sometimes more. The food is absolutely delicious & it comes out so fast! I would surely recommend that you try it out if youre looking for delicious food at a great price.

Not worth it, whats wrong w mex restaurants? No good ones around anymore. The cheese dip was so thin, it was like soup! $3.50, for soup-thin dip, my chicken chimachangas u could tell were frozen n reheated. And did not taste like chicken. Super disappointed!

El Portal is a Tex-Mex place that is low on decor, and high on value. The Northshore has many places like this but bang for the buck this place cant be beat. I regularly frequent this place for lunch and the food is always hot, delicious, and fast.

Ate here they brung the food out so fast within 5 minutes, went in around 3:00pm left around 3:45pn, 11 at night I was throwing up I know it was because of this place because it was nothing but rice in my throw up and I felt much better after words

Weak margaritas, decent food, orders not correct, poor service - had to get up and chase waiter down to get food items such as tortillas that should have come with meal, refills on water, etc. Overall a poor experience.
