I will say first and foremost that LOVE the majority of the staff. They are great, especially the bartenders. I would name names, but I feel like that would be wrong on a review like this. Their menu doesnt offer many things that I like, but that is not a reason to detract stars in my book. There are a few things that I really like, sadly, most of them are what I consider to be over priced. But I have never run a restaurant, so I the prices may actually be in line with their food costs, who knows? The real reason for my 3 star rating is the amount of times I have had to wait for a ridiculously long time for my food. Both for dining in and to go, and when they werent very busy. I admit that they are very often super, super busy. And I dont fault them for taking longer when that is the case. But I do fault them for taking forever when they are not that busy. I have called in an order and arrived 15-20 minutes later only to wait another 20 minutes or more. I have been seated at a table and had an absentee waiter more than once. One night in particular we were seated on the patio and our server seemed to vanish completely. Luckily there was another very sweet girl who took great care of us. And when I say this next thing, please know that the people I was with as well as myself dine out often and have worked in the service industry. So, even though we felt our "official" server didnt really deserve a tip, we still left something, though it wasnt much, but we pooled an extract, semi-generous amount, and put it directly in the hand of the girl who actually took care of us. She was very gracious and almost embarrassed, but she deserved it for going above and beyond. The other reason for 3 stars is that when I have had bad experiences, management that I spoke hasnt always reacted in the manner that I would hope for. Sometimes they are very apologetic, sometimes they dont seem to care. Now that I think about it, the very first time I went there, the waiter spilled ketchup all over me (I honestly dont remember how he managed it). As an apology the manager took our drinks off of our bill. That might sound like a nice, generous thing to do, until I tell you that between the three of us we ordered two sodas and a water... But that some years ago. All in all, its a pretty decent place, but some things could be improved.

This is my least favorite restaurant in Shreveport. Unfortunately I go there once a year for a friends birthday. To me there are no redeeming qualities of this restaurant. Looking for patio dining? Shreveport has many options. Looking for Mexican? There are several quality Mexican restaurants that serve better seafood and Mexican cuisine. Looking for oysters? Oyster Bar has the most expensive and worst quality oysters in the area, despite their namesake. The drinks are pricey, the Margaritas are nothing special (no matter what groups of housewives will tell you). Somethings in Shreveport only remain because of tradition and good memories. Unfortunately these memories cloud what is sitting in front of you - an overly buttery, grilled hunk of thawed Asian fish and bland vegetables smothered in butter and cheese. Also, the floors are very slippery, presumably due to the butter being labeled into every skillet, as if a drunk Paula Deen was in the kitchen. If youre visiting, please go to any other restaurant.

I ate there on yesterday. I have eaten there before and had no issues. Well today I am so sick with food poisoning . I havent eaten anything since yesterday. So I called and talked to the manager Max and explained to him I got sick after I ate there. He tried to tell me I was lieing about the food making me sick. I asked him if he could refund me my money and all of a sudden there credit card machine is down. I was so upset I asked for the owner and I am going to give him a call. I am so upset and disgusted about the whole experience....

The OWNER or whomever I spoke with over the phone was EXTREMELY rude. I called to place an order over the phone on a "busy Friday night" as he said then he went on a rant about how they dont accept credit cards over the phone which is fine. He screamed at me over the phone and told me to come in to order which is also fine but I wont spend my money with a business thats rude. Very bad customer service! The bald bartender is great so maybe sit at the bar you will get better service!

this is one of my favorite go-to restaurants. Although they are more known for their oyster menu, their BURGERS truly are some of the best in town. i love the fun atmosphere out on the patio, always busy and happening but i can still find a seat. Nice to be able to order a margarita, a nice Kendall Jackson Chardonnay, or just cold beer all at the same locale. we almost always bring out-of-towners here since theres something for everyone, its fun and super casual.

The chips and salsa were great. It was not crowded on its most busiest night. Order the Angel Oyster/fried Calamari. The bacon was burnt around the oysters and made the flavoring not tasteful for my taste buds (Angel). The calamari was deep fried and very rubbery. Overall the service we decent, but the food would not make me an second diner. Ive eaten oysters before but I guess I should have tried here first before tasting the gulf shore oysters in New Orleans!

Dont be fooled by the name, this is actually a Mexican restaurant. Very overpriced with extremely mediocre food. They are called Oyster Bar and yet I paid $13 for a half dozen oysters and they didnt even come in the shell. They were small and tasteless. If you want good southern seafood do NOT come here. If you want good Mexican food, still do not come here. There are no redeeming qualities to this place.

Food and service getting worse.Stopped in today and left without receiving my meal after over an hour of waiting with only five tables of customers there. The final indignity was watching people who ordered after me getting their food first and I ordered a lunch special that was easy. It was embarrassing to be neglected like that.

If you want a good margarita, come here. The food is ok, but atmosphere is great. A great place to "be seen". As far as the oysters go, not fabulous, but good. The lucky bread is what I always get. Its a little over priced, but a nice little hang-out-watch-the-game kind of place.

Just had lunch with a Cesar Salad in a cereal bowl for $11.00 which would be ok but a Margarita in a styrofoam cup packed with ice for $13.50??? Really? Call me stupid for visiting in the first place but never going back which is sad because it is walking distance from my house.

First of, you will smell once you leave this place. The food is greasy, over priced and just doesnt taste good. My friends seem to love this place and when I go, I never order anything because I am not even tempted to waste my money. There are far better places in Shreveport.

Great food but terrible seating arrangement and when parties finish their food tables should be cleared indicating to guests to pay bills and leave. There is not enough seating in restaurant already so need to eat and pay so other people can eat as well.
