I typically have nothing but terrific experiences at The Ruby Slipper...until today. They seated a larger party before us that came in after us. We ordered a chicken salad sandwich that had practically no chicken salad on it. We also ordered Eggs Cochon & the Smoked Salmon Bennie. The eggs were completely solid in the middle so we sent both dishes back. They came out better but one of mine was still solid in the middle. The French Toast Batons that we ordered for the table had about an inch of sugar & cinnamon on them which was way too much & a couple were over cooked. All in all, not a good experience. Our waitress was nice even though she refilled everyone elses drink at the table but did not refill my water once. It will be a while before I go back there if at all.

First off, this place gets slammed on the weekends, but if you are in town on a weekday, or have a day off, this is the best place for breakfast in the Marigny triangle. First off, they have a happy hour for breakfast cocktails. Two of you? Want one Bloody Mary? Youre golden during morning happy hour. Also, the breakfast plates can be split if youre light eaters. My husband and I split the corned beef hash Benedict with a second side, like candied bacon. So tasty! The wait staff is always really solid, even when slammed. The cocktails are nice and strong. Great for hair of the dog or starting off your day right. Ive eaten here several times, both when slow and slammed, and have never been disappointed.

OMG by far my favorite place to have breakfast, lunch or brunch. The food is amazing and is consistent at all locations. I think I have eaten everything on the menu and always leave happy. I salivate every week when they e-mail the specials, I dont know how they think of these. I stopped by the other day and had the special of gouda & bacon grill cheese with a creole tomato soup - YUM! It is our favorite place to meet up with friends, go for a quiet meal and we take everyone visiting from out of town there. The atmosphere is great, staff is friendly and I love the bourbon milk punch, oh and the Bloody Mary, and the Mimosa... You get it - it is all good.

Terrible service. Called ahead of time to see if theyd accommodate a party of 10. They said it they definitely could. When we arrived they said they couldnt seat a party our size. There were tables open but they said they couldnt put it together. There was a party of 12 in the restaurant. They were paying already so we said wed wait. With attitude they told us well we dont know when theyll leave so we can seat yall separate. We started to wait and then the manager called us ON THE PHONE (didnt even come out to talk to us) to tell us they couldnt accommodate us. They just didnt want us in there.

This is definitely a great place for brunch in the New Orleans area they have about three of them available two of them are always packed and have a line especially the one down near Canal Street highly recommend this place the only reason Im giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the amount of time it takes them to bring your meal. every time that we have visited there it always took us up to 25 to 35 minutes after we ordered the meal for it to arrive which has always been a disappointment but the food is so magnificent I can give it a pass also the Bloody Marys are very good.

Came based on the rave reviews..... Food was meh. Good, attentive service. Great coffee. My wife commented that the fries were the best part of her meal. She got the Croque something or another, definitely nothing noteworthy. I got the chicken St Charles. WAY overcooked chicken on a giant super dry biscuit topped with a sauce that appeared heavenly but had no taste what so ever. Candied Bacon was good. My wife and I are by no means picky, just were expecting a lot more. We ate about half and then walked down the street and picked up a chicken basket.

Where IHOP meats GOURMET!!! Enter The Ruby Slipper. Located on Burgundy Street in the Marigny, the parking is scarce, there maybe a wait, but youll be happy you pressed your way. Love the themed walls & the makeshift balconies located uppermost on the walls. Kinda cool, but creepy, lol. The food here is great. maybe a wait, depending on the time of day & the crowd; but worth it in the end. Love that you can get an adult beverage with your meal, IH*P cant do that. This location isnt opened all day so get yourself into gear & get going.

Amazing restaurant! Probably the best we had while in New Orleans. It was so good, we stopped by another branch before we left. If you have a car, Id definitely recommend the branch on Burgundy street. It had a significantly shorter wait than the Cortez street and Magazine Street locations, with a nicer interior as well. The food was top notch. My friends and I ordered an assortment of menu items in our two visits and although everything was delicious, Id recommend the Eggs Cochon and Gulf Fish.

So good! Visited this location and the location on Magazine St. . Food at both locations was awesome! The service here was MUCH better than service at Magazine St. . However, although tasted the same, food at the Magazine St location came out more hot. Loved the pancakes, chicken sausage, cream cheese filled French toast, and eggs Benedict on top of biscuit with bacon and tomato. Would definitely recommend Ruby Slipper Cafe to anyone looking for a great breafast or brunch experience.

Amazing food, yall! The portions were LARGE. I ordered The Peacemaker (one smoked Salmon and the other was the shrimp boogaloo). Im a foodie to the core and was kind of skeptical of the food only because food in typical tourist areas are lackluster. This food did not disappoint. Not a single person in my group was disappointed. Words do this food no justice. Go, guys! We also had drinks (peach Bellini and Ruby Mimosas). They had some KICK to em! LOL I will definitely be back!

Lived up to all the hype. Sat am around 11 it was about an hour total until we actually receive food. Husband had bananas foster: delicious, but SERIOUSLY sweet. I had the Peacemaker Bennie with pork and salmon: both meats and sauces were delicious and the biscuits are amazing. Highly recommend. They take your phone number and you can see your place in line through the No Wait app so walking to another bar while you wait is easy to do.

Pros: The food was great. The interior has a nice modern french quarter feel. The greeter was prompt and helpful. The bloody mary was better than most. Cons: The service was poor. We didnt get our utensils until a few minutes after we received our meals. I didnt get my bloody mary until after we were all finished eating. I ordered an Abita Root Beer, was charged for it, but was told this location does not actually carry it (BS?).
