Oh, this place hit the spot! Are you looking for crispy deep fried tourist food at a reasonable price? Have a hankering for an obscenely sized hurricane and only a few bucks? This is the place. First, its one of the only places in NOLA with boudin balls. As a Houstonian, Im used to ordering these at any cajun restaurant and found it frustrating to search NOLA for them. Found em! Crawfish queso...yes, please! Queso is always great - add some tail meat to it, and life is wonderful. Legitimately wonderful. Their alligator bites are pretty tasty too. Not traditionally prepared as a tail meat nugget, but more of a bread ball stuffed with alligator. The service here was stellar. I distinctly recall, a month later, our server coming to the table every 10 minutes or so. You may think thats a bit excessive, but when youre hungover and sucking down Coca Cola like the factory just burned down, an attentive server is your best friend. Although, the best cure for a hangover is the breeze coming in off the Mississippi. If you get here early enough, you can get a seat by the nearly always open patio doors!

We waited 25 minutes to order and there were only 3 young girls and an older lady in front of us. One new girl running the order counter on a Sunday after church. People were even coming around the corner of the counter to help the lady run the register and enter their order correctly. We ordered 2 appetizers and 2 dinners. The appetizers were good. The sweet tea was old and soured. When our food came out the only brought one dinner. The lady at the counter didnt get our order right and only entered one dinner. We told our waitress and asked for the manager. The manager never once came and talked to us so our waitress ordered our second dinner. 15 minutes later still no food. We canceled the food and just shared our one meal. A shame too because the food was good. Definitely wont be back until management gets a handle on things. I have added a picture of people trying to explain this ladies job to her. Ridiculous!

My experience here was pretty disappointing. I ordered some food to go over the phone - a burger with a side of fries, and an addition side of green beans. The burger tasted quite good, but had too little of the toppings that were advertised, was too small overall, and the portion of fries seemed small. Granted, smaller portions are a good thing - but $8 seemed steep - although perhaps more reasonable than the $10+ youd probably pay elsewhere. The side of pepper jelly green beans was completely uninspired. Barely cooked sufficiently, and with no flavor - certainly nothing that would indicate pepper jelly. They were under $3, their saving grace. One star for friendly staff when I picked up my order, and one star for the excellent flavor of the burger.

Not the best food in the city, but still a nice place. I like that you order at the counter, but still get table service during your meal. It speeds things up if youre on your lunch break or otherwise in a hurry. The big parking lot also helps in this department. Theres a giant, wall-sized map of Greater New Orleans in the dining room, which my out-of-town family and friends like to look at while were eating. Theres also an attached beignet and coffee shop. Again, not quite as good as other places in New Orleans (like Cafe Du Monde), but definitely passable and MUCH less crowded. Service can be tad slow here, depending on when you come in - which is why I deducted a star.

Roadtripping this past March & stumbled upon this place while waiting for our room to open down the street at the Hampton (great hotel btw). Im not much of a seafood person so I ordered the chicken alfredo. I was full after about finishing 1/4 of my plate but it was so good I couldnt stop eating it, I darn near licked the plate. Dont remember what my bf had but I know he was happy with his food too. The staff was friendly & courteous and the place was clean. We live in WI & have "joked" about driving down for dinner (if my bf only knew I was serious )

Make sure the person taking your order reads it back to you. Even if they get your order messed up, theyll do whatever it takes to make it right. That being said, dont take advantage of their hospitality! The place is very nice...we came at night and watched the lit up streetcars pass as we ate....The staff are very friendly but theyre busy so dont expect them to cater specifically to YOU. Oh and order the fries..you wont regret it! Our burgers were huge and delicious! Excellent value for such an affordable price!

Spacious, clean and inviting. The wait staff was wonderful. The food was just OK. Typical bar food thats overpriced for the portion size. Very disappointed to see that they use boxed, frozen hamburgers; they were very bland. The toppings, however, were fresh and flavorful. Side note: the hush puppies were disgusting. We got 2 orders, both were way over cooked on the outside, raw in the middle and greasy. We sent them back only to have them be replaced by new ones in the same condition.

I live across the street from their Uptown location. I moved to NOLA a year ago and ate here every night. The food was delicious! Something happened at the end of 2011. They redid their menu-and though they claimed the value got better- the portions got teeny tiny. I could no longer eat here and walk out satisfied like I used to. Its a shame because everyone in the wait staff knew me. Sorry guys- I wish I could come back but no can do with those prices! Miss yall!

The environment and decor were both great. With that said, I presumed the food to be outstanding... Now it wasnt bad, it just wasnt that great. I ordered an oyster poboy for $12. Thats a damn expensive poboy; I expected to at least be overflowing with oysters. Man was I wrong. There were maybe 7 oysters on the entire poboy, and they werent that great at all. Would not go back to the establishment, could probably get better oysters in the mid-west...

Interestingly only 2 of the 9 locations of the "New Orleans" Hamburger & Seafood Co are actually in New Orleans! We go to the one in Uptown when we want a place that can accommodate a wide variety of tastes. It is a large menu, decent quality, nice sized portions, solid service and a great view of the St Charles streetcar. Decent bar and an great attached coffee shop/bakery. Closest place to get real beignets if you live Uptown.

Stopped in yesterday for drinks and a quick bite. Everyone(including our picky eater) really liked the crawfish cheesedip and the house drink, the 44 was a nice icy treat. Daphne(not sure of spelling) was AWESOME!!! Gave us everything we asked for AND some tips for our visit to the city! This will be a definite stop next time we are in New Orleans.

Went there on a Sunday night I guess it was not a good time to go there because the food was very how do I say it Blah... poboy sandwich are not what really represent this wonderful town, the service was lacking I am still waiting for a plate I ask for. All the fountain drinks were out had to settle for bad Ice tea. 3 stars are well worth it.
