The burgers are delicious. That being said, they are extremely messy and greasy. I recommend taking some antacid BEFORE eating them. Otherwise the restaurant is usually pretty busy and it is an open seating area. Im not a fan of ordering your food and then going to find seating that may or may not be there, its happened before. The staff has a hard time keeping up with the tables that clear out and the tables are often dirty.

After coming here for the first time for lunch, I returned again for dinner. Both were great experiences - these are not cheap burgers, except for the actual price, which makes them an amazing value. Appropriately greasy, meaty, and fatty, which is not quite "health food" but is what I was wanting for today. I will definitely enjoy visiting here again and again.

Pretty good food. The brussel sprouts and garlic aioli were probably a favorite! The Negan fell apart way too easily. Cool atmosphere, too. You order at the counter and they bring you your food. We also had a coconut cream pie shake which was great! No alcohol available to spike it. Yet or ever Im not sure....

Absolutely horrible 5 bucks for a shake that is smaller then a Mini Blizzard or a McFlurry and 10 bucks for a burger that didnt come with fries they were extra. What a joke my money could have been spent better elsewhere. Not to mention the burger itself is no bigger then a cheeseburger from McDonalds.

Went to Zombie Burger with my family for the first time and got a decent amount of food. The burger patties were thin and dry. The food was too expensive for the quality of it. Not as great as people make it out to be. The customer service was very good though!

If you have been to the Des Moines resturant, this one is different. Its a good different. You walk in and order your food at the counter and they bring it to you. They dont have waitstaff per say. The staff was very friendly. We loved it.

I love this place. I used to go to Des Moines all the time and eat at the original there. Now I dont have to travel to get amazing burgers. Plus for someone who doesnt eat beef and pork there are still so many options for me!!!!

Amazing specialty burgers. From deep fried Mac and cheese for buns to grilled cheese for buns. Also chicken fried everything. The loaded fries are good, but skip the poutine. I like the trailer trash with peanut butter

Fantastic food! Very chill workers, very fun atmosphere, I very much enjoyed my time here. 10/10 would recommend and they have FANTASTIC vegetarian options. A must stop by if youre in the neighborhood.

Visit for the ambience/experience: the venue theming is fun, shakes are great, and the burgers are unique, but there are definitely better burger joints in Iowa City at a similar price tag.
