Walked up to the counter at 7:30 on a Sunday evening to order and asked the man behind the counter how the barbeque shrimp was prepared and he said, "There is a sauce on it, but I have no idea what it is." With that response, I ordered something else. There were probably 15 people in the restaurant when we got there and lots of empty tables. There was only one person on the floor bringing out food and serving drinks and taking orders at the bar as well as phone orders. After we ordered, the line grew larger for orders and the place began to fill up. No orders were coming out of the kitchen except for three to-go orders. We waited for over 30 minutes for our food (mind you, you have to order at a window) and then waited in line for 5 more minutes to ask for a refund. The cashier said that she would have to get the manager to give us our money back. After waiting another 5 minutes, the same person who told us that he had no idea what sauce was on the barbeque shrimp was the manager! I couldnt believe it! Is there no training for the restaurant manager to know the menu items? I told him that they needed to get someone to send out the food that was ready to go out on the counter. He said, "It wasnt busy all day and now this" as if that was an excuse. There were about six plates sitting there. I told him that one of them was probably ours and he said, "No, we havent gotten to yours yet". Looked at my watch and 40 minutes had passed since we had ordered. Pitiful, just pitiful. Dont know how they stay open.

Tell me how two managers tell me Im hired I go in the day Im suppose to be there they tell me to go home because no one was able to train me they were going to call me Monday well Ive called them for a week to start and I called them again they tell me they dont know why the new guy hired me because they are slow .. So you mean to tell me I put a job down that paid more to take this job on and they tell me they cant hire me even though they already did . this is the most unprofessional place I know.

Me and coworker ate here lil after lunch food was great. When we first walk thru doors we was greeted by Asian woman that made us feel like we was in the right place. Got a lil worry once we got to cashier she didnt know to much but the Asian lady was great help she made sure we got what ask for even check on us to make sure the food was great. I can go on and on but thats was the best service I receive from this franchise ever

This place always looks busy, which was a good sign for me -so we decided to give it a try. I ordered their famous thin fried catfish, but when I took a bite I bit into a raw piece of catfish! My palette couldnt stomach through. The manager on duty refunded my meal with no questions asked, which I was grateful for. I understand things happen, but for raw fish, I had to give it a 1 star.

I was confused upon entering as it appears to be a restaurant with full service. However, after standing there and reading the signs we realize you order at the window and take a number. Sort of like Captains D. Which is fine it was just confusing if you have never been there before. The food was fresh and taste great. If you love fresh seafood this is the place to go.

It appears as though the grease trap has overflowed into the parking lot, it smells horrible, and it was extremely filthy. The inside was relatively clean but certainly not how it should be with just a few customers at that time of day. The food was subpar and not served hot. The location in Mandeville is at a whole different level. The waitress was nice. Not for me.

DISAPPOINTING! Not the "Taste of New Orleans" I was hoping for. Catfish and shrimp was flavorless and tasted like the generic frozen stuff you pull out of the frozen food section at Walmart. Im not sure what their special "garlic herb" fries have on them, but that oily glaze ruined whatever flavor the fries might have had. Service was mediocre at best. I wont be back.

We are from Florida and saw this place so we decided to stop. I got fish tacos. The soft taco shells were hard. The shrimp was over seasoned. The hush puppies were out of a bag. My husband got a burger that had no season. It was out of a box. Not homemade. The fries were soggy. The queso dip was just ok. The chips were hard and old. Staff was nice.

Was very disappointed. My husband & I ordered the shrimp poboy. Both poboys lacked shrimp. Sure cant compete with Pecks seafood. Took my little girl to restroom & one stall was completely out of toilet paper & the other just had enough for us. This was right before the dinner rush. Mandeville New Orleans hamburger & seafood company is way better.

Slow service, out of menu items (on a Friday night at 6:30?). Looooooong wait in a half empty restaurant, then I was served cold rubbery shrimp and a mediocre burger. We wont be back, quality and service were bad and it is not my imagination that serving sizes are smaller than they were a year ago while prices have increased.

The employees were awesome and friendly. Not being from here, yet I felt quite at home. I wish I could remember our servers name. :-/. She was awesome. My bf and I shared a seafood platter and boudin balls that were amazing... Not to mention the place was clean and organized with a bar included. ❤❤

Well I got the sizzling shrimp salad 15 dollars mostly all white lettuce. With a small portion to boot and the fried green tomato was one slice. I got it to go and I had the decency to get no cutlery cause you know its fun to eat with your hands while youre down in New Orleans.

Food was great! Lil diff ordering your food at counter at a sit down place. Not very gluten free friendly. Which is a downfall for my husband. I had the bbq shrimp po boy. It was so good. The bread was amazing. Also had a cup if the gumbo and I was very good as well.

I ordered The Taste of New Orleans...the catfish and shrimp was amazing! My husband had the seafood platter and he really enjoyed it. The service was great. Atmosphere is very laid back. This will definitely be a regular stop for us in Louisiana.

Pulled up at 8:30 pm on 1/10/16 didnt even make it out of the car and someone was yelling at us telling us they were closed as they took out the trash. Such a shame that they were turning people away. Called and was told they close at 9 pm!!!
