This is by far the nicest restaurant that I have ever stepped foot in, and it is also extremely well priced for sushi. A California or crunchy roll is less than 4 dollars! As soon as we walked in the door, we saw that the place was completely empty. I dont know if thats why we were treated so well, but well definitely be coming back again. Right after we were seated, we were given this appetizer that was amazing (seared tuna ends with japanese pickles) without even ordering it, and then directly after ordering our sushi, they gave us ANOTHER free appetizer: a bowl of some great miso-like soup. We then got done eating our sushi, which only came up to about 40 dollars (and we got enough for 4 full meals, no problem), and we left them a 50% tip because of how amazing we were treated. Before they even saw the tip we gave them, though, they come out with yet ANOTHER free meal, some fried bananas with ice cream! We didnt ask for 3 of the things they gave us, and the quality of the food was fabulous. Please give this restaurant your business, they taught my very questioning boyfriend how to make sushi and gave us the best dining experience ever. The food was just as phenomenal as their service.

Im surprised nobody else has written anything about "Sake Garden Japanese Restaurant" (its not "Sake Gardens" according to the sign, but "Sake Garden"). My wife and I stopped in for lunch yesterday and the food quality was very good. I ordered the fish katsu bento box, which was packed full of tasty bits. It included the fish katsu and sauce, of course, but also came with my choice of soup (I chose clear broth which was almost certainly better than the same old miso most people get), some gyoza, a makizushi roll, rice (I had steamed brown rice, something most strip mall Japanese joints dont offer), green salad (pretty much American style), and a half an orange. The only thing I didnt like was the homemade katsu sauce. Id just prefer they use the usual grocery store katsu sauce. But everything else was really nice. Id definitely go back again for lunch or supper.

Tried Sake Garden several years ago after another well known Mandeville Japanese Restaurants quality diminished and prices increased. Never once regretted that decision. The food is consistently great. Staff is awesome. Prices are reasonable especially during happy hour (5-6). Definitely my familys "go to" sushi place!!

I used to be a big fan of this Restaurant. The last few times "in my opinion" the tuna had no flavor. Also they did not have the happy hour from 5-6pm. It would also be nice if they would use plastic gloves when handling the food instead of using there bare hands. Also, it was very warm in the Restaurant.

Mandevilles hidden gem! This place has been here forever, and for some reason, Ive never tried it but I picked up some rolls to go Thursday night, and it was DELICIOUS! And the sushi is cheaper than some other places around Mandeville. Really delicious sushi. The Salmon Avocado roll is my new favorite!

Used Menu Express to deliver my order to me for lunch. Great service. Saki Garden however, suck. No where on their menu does it state that they make you get a specific appetizer and soup that comes with the lunch Bento bowl. They would not substitute and wanted to up-charge me. They SUCK!!!!

This is by far the most consistently delicious and carefully prepared sushi in this area. The service is second to none, very friendly, helpful and attentive. This place is a hidden gem if you are looking for high quality sushi in a great atmosphere.

Sake Garden is among the best restaurants Ive ever visited. The food, service, and atmosphere are always fantastic. My familys favorites are the Rocky III roll, the sake garden roll, and the Louisiana roll. This restaurant never fails to impress us.
