Just got home after an excellent meal and felt I had to leave a review. When we arrived at the restaurant this evening, we were told there would be a 15 minute wait. Having had a bad experience waiting at this restaurant before(ended up going before being seated), we made to leave. However, just as we reached our car, one of the staff (who it turned is a member of the family who owns Asahi), came out to tell us that there had been a mistake and there would be a table ready in 5 mins. Happy, we decided to stay and I am very glad we did. The place was packed which is always a good sign. Our waiter (the same chap who came to get us) was very attentive and polite. We ordered miso soup for both and 4 rolls between us. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Very fresh fish and the yellowtail was some of the best Ive had. There are many other items on the menu Im looking forward to trying. I am very happy we decided to stay and will definitely be back again. I am delighted to announce my opinion of this place turned around 360 degrees:-) Top marks!

This is the best sushi I have ever eaten in my life. The Yummy Roll is my absolute favorite! The whole roll is deep fried but the batter remains light and airy. The cream cheese kind of melts inside and mixes with the shrimp and other fillings just right. The hibachi is tasty and relatively inexpensive. You can order the specialty rolls in half portions, so you can sample twice the sushi at the same price as you would spend on a whole roll. The servers are nice and competent. Its worth the drive to Denham; I will never eat sushi anywhere else! Cant say enough good things about this place!

Small quiet restaurant that serves Japanese cuisine. Excellent sushi selection at very reasonable prices. I also enjoy several of the appetizers and entrees which are made to order and always nice and hot. I dont typically like dining alone, but this place does well to make one feel at home. Very friendly staff.

Nothing short of excellent. Quality is top notch, even compared to more expensive places like Tsunami, or Geisha, but at much lower prices. Sushi bar is easily visible and clean. Never had a bad experience, would recommend to anyone in the Denham Springs area.

We go to Asahi Sushi & Grill often. The Asahi soup is very good, like most things on the menu. Its our go to place for a quick dinner out, its not a fancy place, but the food is very good. Like the service, the employees are friendly and on top of things.

The sushi is always fresh and the go service is really quick. It sounds silly but I love the way they organize the take out bags. Everything is labeled so when you get back home or to the office, you can separate out who gets what scrumptious little bit.

It is a very family oriented and relaxed place to eat whether or not you go there for a quick bite 4 lunch or for a formal family dinner personally I love their yummy roll with an order of tempura crawfish. And its under $20 with your drink !

You cant beat the prices and so fresh! I eat sushi al over Baton Rouge and this place now saves me a trip. Best calamari ever. I have never seen a rainbow roll this cheap! Love love love!
