3 1/ Stars from me, I want to like it. Let me say first, the place has potential, and considering it just opened, I hope it will improve with time. CONS: Service - We walked in at 5:30 on Wednesday night, asked for a table for 2. We were told we could sit on the patio or wait 10 minutes for a table inside. I asked; Is there smoking on the patio? Hostess said, NO. WRONG, evidently, smoking is allowed on the patio. This greatly diminished my dining experience. Hostess needs better training in order to assist customer with a pleasant dining experience. Waitress; She was very young and I understand she was probably new to the job. However, someone should tell her that her hands are the first thing customers will focus on. Chipped nail polish is unattractive, black/chipped nail polish is the worst, and when i say chipped, i mean CHIPPED. I asked for a go cup because she had just refilled my tea. She brought me a go cup half the size of my tea. Surely, she will improve also. FOOD: The jambalaya has no flavor, as evident by the pale color. The gumbo tasted like the brown gravy served over hamburger steak. I would give the crawfish pie 3 1/2 out of 5. My wife had the grilled stuffed shrimp (very good!) with baked potato. Like the other reviews, I feel it was a bit overpriced for the portions. I believe it is important to support local businesses, so, I will go again, and hopefully, it will continues to improve. If it does, I will update my review

Atmosphere is great, the staff is friendly, and you are well taken care of. Got the Jambalaya, crawfish pie, and Gumbo combo plater. The Gumbo was closer to a stew in thickness, tasted well even if a bit spicy, but was lacking in Crawfish. The Jambalaya was overcooked and a bit spicy for anyone not use to a spicier diet. The crawfish pie crust is a bit soft and undercooked looking. The taste is a bit underwhelming when compared to the bold, spicy flavour of the gumbo and jambalaya. The pie is by far my favourite of the three dishes. The hush puppies are great. Not to dry and just the right amount of flavour. For dessert I had the Banana Fosters Bread Pudding. The bread pudding was good but the sauce makes it a bit to sweet. I could only eat half before it became to much. I judged the food based upon the palette of someone not from Louisiana or of someone who is not as big into the spicier dishes of South Louisiana so as to be as unbiased as possible.

We met there for a Christmas party of about 20 people and the service was great. Wanda Haas just the right mix of attentiveness and saucy retort to make the experience fun and relaxed ... And just a little irreverent with those wanting to play along! It was obvious how good the food was by how party feel silent as dished were placed and everyone began eating. Then around the table I heard "best Ive ever had," "here taste some of mine," and "gee, this is good." The only disappointment was a serving of green beans that seemed a little less than fresh. The ambience Id prefect for a light hearted gathering our to impress a business associate. Great folks, food, and service.

I was hesitant on coming here after reading the reviews. We had a birthday to celebrate and chose Dukes. I must say, I left very impressed with everything! The service, our waiter (Jon) was awesome! Very prompt and well mannered. The food was awesome! We had oysters on the half, fried shrimp, and fried soft shell crab. I think the prices were just right for the amount of food that came on the plate. I was expecting to go home hungry from the reviews, but that was far from it, we had a whole box to take home! Love this place and will definitely be going back! Thanks Dukes

Okay, So Im a steak guy. When I specifically order a steak rare and it comes out barely medium rare, I simply dont order steaks from your establishment anymore and thats that. However, If I come back and someone in my party orders a steak medium rare and its burnt on the outside, I apparently go online to write a review about it in the hope of helping out said establishment. Either get your cooks to cook the steaks slower (I dont mind waiting for a decent slab) or hire new cooks. Seafood bienville is great.

The food was extremely good. Ive tried the Seafood Bienville (awesome), seafood gumbo (awesome), shrimp and artichoke dip, (awesome), duked up shrimp (just okay). Service is great. Needs a little something though - for the price there isnt a lot of food. I am full when I leave but it is almost a-la-cart. Not a huge choice on the menu either. Was expecting it to be more like Dons I guess. They need to do more with the atmosphere too. Would go back but would also like to see more from them....

I was so impressed with Dukes we dedicated our son today and made reservations for 20 the day before. When I found out we were going to have more family show up I called and asked if they could accommodate 30. The manager and wait staff were so nice and had everything ready for us when we arrived! I just wanted to say thank you for the great food and professionalism also thank you to our waiter Robby you did a great job making sure everyones drinks were filled and all the food was perfect!

As a lover of a catfish platter, I was very excited to see a new seafood restaurant in town. My husband ordered the ribeye. It was overcooked and had no seasoning. I ordered the catfish platter and was disappointed that it didnt come with hush puppies. The catfish tasted muddy. There is not enough sauce to cover that taste. I would like to suggest a little mustard in your wet batter to kill that taste. It also had no seasoning. Dont be afraid of salt it brings da flava.

Seafood platter had select seafood and the seafood to fries ratio was the best Ive seen. Fried oysters have always been my favorite and were cooked to perfection. Most restaurants over cook them until the oyster, has disintegrated. These were awesome! Salads are fresh and crisp and the stuffed potatoes are a must try. They taste like no other I have tried. The interior design is open and airy and done with a Louisiana motif. Service was excelent and parking is not a problem.

One of the best meals we have had in a long time! Grilled oysters, fried crab claws, stuffed shrimp and grilled whole flounder... Some of the finest ever... Cannot wait to return.. Well worth the 20 min trip from BR... Tip: Do not use your GPS to find it.. Will take you to an incorrect address... Just follow 1-12 to DenSorings/Hwy 16Range Road exit... Travel east to Watson...across Hwy and just before you reach the big Wal-Mart Supercenter, there it is! FABULOUS!!!

The gumbo is wonderful. The restaurant is very large so you hear the slight sound of music, but not too loud. The tables are spread apart so you do not hear other conversation. You will not leave there hungry. For my daughters birthday she was treated to any dessert on the menu not just a scoop of ice cream with whipped cream. They serve a full slice of cheese cake. Everyone is friendly. The restaurant stays busy a good sign of good food.
