I took my girlfriend out to eat on a Saturday evening. Had no issue earlier in the week making a reservation for our one year anniversary (called in since the site said nothing was avail). We felt a little over dressed when we got there compared to the rest of the clientele (yes, I know, it is the south, shorts and sandals, but come on, give a little effort...). The establishment is really made up and felt comfortable. It wasnt until we were seated; both of our menus had food on them and the back to my booth moved back and forth when I or the person on the other side sat back. The waitress was very nice, but seemed overwhelmed; especially after their whole order/credit card system took a dump. She had to go and explain in detail to each table and itemize what everyone had so the manager could tally everything up. It was a cluster and added a 20-30 minute wait to get out. Before that tragedy occurred, we ordered our sodas and meal. No issues, other than not getting many refills on time. She ordered the red beans (no sausage, just chicken) and I the beef sirloin. When our plates came out, she took one bite and said it needed to go back. I tasted it, and it was if someone put an artificial plastic taste to the batch; even the chicken didnt taste right. I enjoyed my corn grits, but my sirloin was too pink, and the sauce didnt help. The waitress did her job, and asked if we could get something else, but wed already decided to leave and she didnt charge for the red beans. Paid in cash (due to the system outage), and left. Unfortunately, we will not be visiting this location again. The times Ive been to the Lafayette location has been better.

I always have had a great meal at Zeas. The prices are more reasonable during the lunch time. (Their portions are the same for lunch and dinner so why not just go visit this place for lunch and save some $?) You cant go wrong with their fried chicken and sausage. I also recommend their ribs which come in three different flavors: Thai, Dry, and Wet. I recommend trying the Thai; its the best out of the three options. If you are planning to order two 1/2 rack ribs, its best to order one full and save 6+ dollars. The only downside is that this means you would have to split the two sides that come with the dish. Definitely a place to visit when you are in BR! Did I mention that the food is better than the New Orleans location?

My first experience here was not a pleasant one.. The hostess forgot we were waiting to be seated.. She completely ignored my husband and myself, after waiting 1 hour I went to her and said party for 2 still waiting, she she said oh yeah. Then we were seated.. The waiter did not speak or asked did we want drinks he just walked off. 3 couples who were seated after us was immediately offered drinks and orders were place for there food.. We waited an additional 20 mins before we stopped someone and asked for our order to be place.. The worse experience ever!! Never will I return..

I really wasnt expecting much, but damn this was good. Ive never had a bad meal, and I enjoy the atmosphere. Ive never had an issue with the service, either. The menu changes seasonally, something I enjoy. The Thai Ribs are truly good, and the Roasted Corn Grits is definitely worth trying. I really like the Duck Empenatas as an appetizer. For a surprisingly good meal, try the carving board sandwich. The meat changes every day (I think its whatever the meat of the day the day before was) but Ive had it with both the lamb and the veal. The lamb is truly excellent.

I am on a quest to try all top shelf Burbon and this place has a great selection. A special treat was premium raw oyster from Louisiana. Very tasty & clean. I usually come for the Duck, however I was early and decided to enjoy the bar and company. The staff is very friendly and even remember me from last visit more than a month ago. The food was very good and worth the $$$ price tag. So if your interested in very good food, a quiet environment, and good service, give it a try. Oh yes, the Barterhouse Burbon was my choice today! Good!

Good chain, very interesting American healthy focused menu. The main focus is on rotisserie style chicken in a variety of glazes. We tried the spinach/artichoke dip, the flavor was perfect, but the tortilla chips didnt exactly work well for the dip. I had the jalapeno honey glazed rotisserie chicken, and it was delicious and a ample portion. Would definitely recommend for a informal date night, or friends dinner.

What a disappointment. Food brought out to us with no silverware. Alfredo was served room temperature with no sauce...it was dry and bland. Burger came without the caramalized onion I was charged extra for and they never brought out my side. I would have asked for it, but the waitress never came by to check on us until I was on my last bite, and Im a slow eater. Last trip to Zeas Baton Rouge.

Best lamb in the USA. Had the Thursday lamb sirloin special, best Ive ever had in the US, on a par with lamb at premium restaurants in the UK and New Zealand. All the other food ordered was perfect too. Only mistake was the salad was delivered after the entrees. Beer selection rather limited but the house brand beers are actually pretty good and well above the standard fare.

Ate here while in town on business, had the lamb serloin with the corn grits and broccoli and it was awesome. The lamb was juicey and flavourful. We also got the chips and "guacamole" but it was disappointing, the "guacamole" was just diced avacado... Overall a very enjoyable experience.

The food at Zeas is always good. Had the Sampler Platter and enjoyed it. The roasted chicken was very tender and tastefully seasoned. The pork and beef were tender as well. We had four different waiters come 0to our table and every one of the provided excellent service! Kudos for Zeas!!!

My family took me here for Mothers day and let me tell yah the food and service was AWESOME!!! I really enjoyed every bit of it and the food came out really quick. I always judge a place by how its kept up and this resturant is very clean and family oriented. I will be back again!!!

Quiet enough to have a conversation, but not too formal. Great for business lunch. Healthy selections available, grilled fish is marvelous. Grits as well as sweet potato souffle are super. This is the only place I will eat broccoli...not overcooked and good flavor.
