Took our name when we went in and said nothing else. After 20 minutes I Asked how long it would be and they said they didnt know. All this time there were 4-5 tables empty. At 50 minutes I asked again, and they said we were next on the list. When I asked why the empty tables, she said that our table was ready but due to the flow of the kitchen she couldnt seat us. We asked if we could just sit down but not order for ten minutes but she said they cant do that. Thos 4 tables were still empty an hour later, an hour!! Best part, it was in the 50s and cloudy and she says to us that we will be seated outside. We said we wouldnt like that and she asked if we were asked about this an hour ago when we put our name in. We definitely were not!! We took it since wed been waiting so long, and it was sprinkling outside. Tons of bugs swarmed around our table too. We moved our table, but it was thick with bugs along the fence. Waitress said she cant do anything. Due to the rain starting, we moved in the game room. Plenty of room there, and those same tables were empty when we left! What a joke of a place! Never going back, terrible customer service!,

“The Chicken Wing Venture” It seems that the Livery, aka Cowtown Saloon, is not in it for the food quality but the atmosphere of entertaining yourself with a drink that EVERY other bar in town has to offer already, nothing special here. The layout was nice. The upstairs was very unique and quite. Like many other post the food quality is mediocre at best. My food, on the other hand, was bleeding, yes bleeding with blood. The server’s response was “well we purchase it pre-cooked and then we cook it again”. I am sorry but I don’t care how or where you order the “pre-cooked” food. The point is that you served it to me RAW. Did I mention this was CHICKEN! You can eat beef raw (to some extent with understanding of the consequences the next day) but you CANNOT serve chicken RAW and bleeding! Quite disappointing. So as I venture into another eat place to critique the chicken wing appetizer in Eau Claire this place receives a zero out of five (bleeding and terrible sauce). Highly Not Recommended (HNR).

Been to the Livery Restaurant numerous times. Always good. But, last night was great! Excellent juicy and flavorful Pesto Chicken sandwich and beautiful mixed greens salad with unique Lemon-Mint Vinaigrette dressing. Will totally get that again! My drink of choice was the special Straw-Mint-Licious with strawberry puree, mint, vodka, soda, and Sprite. It wasnt too sweet or heavy. My husband loved the Roast Beef sandwich with Sweet Potato Tater Tots. The restaurant was busy; we sat for over 10 minutes (with our menus from the host) with no wait staff acknowledgment. We were worried at first, but things worked out okay. We gave our full drink and food order right away. The outside seating was open as a bar seating overflow with no actual service yet. The Livery is a fun space for special events as well. I love the downtown location near the river.

NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT FOR 30 MINUTES: I cant really rate anything except for service and decor. My husband and I called ahead last night and made a reservation at the Livery, when we walked in they had our name and quickly seated us at a table near the bar. When we were seated the menus were already on the table. We literally waited 30 minutes to be greeted or for some one to take our drink order or something, anything. A waiter that was within 2 ft waiting on other customers walked toward us twice and then looked away when I made eye contact. I had no reservations about walking out after not being acknowledged for 30 minutes. Instead, we decided to drop $100 at Mona Lisas and loved our divine foodand service! Thanks "the Livery" for failing so that we would leave for a better experience.

Server was the best thing about the restaurant. We waited to be seated for about 15 minutes even though there were tables open on the second floor after they told us it would take 5. We ordered our food shortly after we were seated and then waited almost an hour and a half for it to arrive. There were 6 of us at the table and it wasnt a large order. When the food finally came out we asked for our check and finished eating so we could go. Food was average, not worth waiting one and a half hours for. Still currently waiting for the check as Im writing this 15 minutes later. Awful, never coming back Update: Waitress was rude at the end of the meal, not apologetic, didnt make eye contact. Dont come to this place

Would leave -stars review if I could. After two of my friends waited over a half hour for the rest of our party to get there (bar was empty this entire time) we finally got there. When we said 6 people, they asked us if we were going to eat food. We said we didnt know and what did it matter. They looked at us confused and I asked if we could sit in the empty bar. The host looked at her co-worker who also looked confused and looked at her watch. After this terrible service we left for somewhere that would appreciate our business. Walked by over an hour later and they were still dead. DONT GO HERE. Rude. Terrible service. No way to treat customers.

The food wasnt terrible, but the lack of choices on their menu kills it. The atmosphere is awesome, we sat at a table that was made out of a vintage bowling game. Service was good. They advertised a Bloody Mary with all a ton of veggies on their blackboard wall display, but once it was ordered, there was merely a pickle and an olive in it. When we asked why, they said that not enough people ordered it, so they stopped stocking all the extras.. So maybe they shouldnt have advertised it then???

Visited town about a week ago and ate here upon recommendation of hotel staff. I arrived in one of the worst downpours of rain in recent history, and had some difficulty finding the correct door to enter. Once inside, I sat at the bar and ordered. It appeared to be well patronized by UWEC students who were from the area. All of them were well behaved, but it was a weeknight. The food was great, and the beer selection was above average. I would definitely eat here again.

Smoked pork nachos. Mmmmm. Menu is lumited, but I have yet to have a bad meal. Service could use some improvement. Waited 30 minutes to be seated while there were three empty tables. We were told it was because they had not found a server for us. Hard to understand why you would not seat a party, invite them to the bar to self serve drinks and tell them a server would be with them shortly.
