Saw a sign for "all you can eat sushi" which is usually a sign for terrible sushi, lol. Interest piqued, I meandered into the parking lot of Kamado and my hopes were not getting any higher. I decided to see what google and yelp reviewers say, just for a laugh and noticed that they rated pretty high 4.2/5 when I checked. I thought to myself "self, lets go in and look around ". Walking in the front door, I was greeted immediately and seated in a nice comfortable booth. My waitress cane over immediately and took my drink order and left me with a sheet of paper to mark what kind of sushi i wanted. I chose a couple of spicy rolls to start (salmon and tuna) and a bowl of miso soup. She came back almost instantly with the soup, while light music playing in the background and "fake news" on the TV kept my attention for the few short minutes i waited for the sushi to be brought out. I thought that it was too short of a time to have made good sushi, and figured that it must have been premade. But then I looked at the beautiful presentation, and the quality of the rolls and I was hooked! I grabbed my chopsticks and tried the first piece without any additional soy/wasabi/ginger and it was delicious. I took my time, enjoyed several rolls and a few pieces of nigiri and let me tell you, I was delighted with every single piece. Try the dynamite rolls, they are awesome! I travel all over the USA for work and try to eat sushi in every city I visit. This place is easily in my top 3 best sushi places I have EVER eaten at. Great job!

We went to Kamados as we used to like it a few years back. Apparently the quality has declined considerably. We ordered wine and beef and pork dishes. After 40 minutes of waiting, we asked a waiter what was taking so long and he answered that there is a big party they are serving so the kitchen cannot get our food ready as yet. Finally the food comes after we have all but lost our appetites and it has a yucky teriyaki sauce which I specifically did not want. I sent it back and they tried to fix it but the meat was so awful - seems that the only way they can make it palatable is by pouring nasty gooey sauce on it. After telling the waiter how bad the food was, they did not have the decency to come apologize for the food (wasnt exactly the waiters fault) and charged us fully for the meal and drinks. The manger was surly and did not care when we complained. The least they could have done was offered us a free drink or dessert! They just lost us as customers and many more by word of mouth.

I have fallen in love with this place since I started going. It is not a typical buffet. They give you a sheet of paper and you check off what you want to eat. They take it, make the food fresh, and bring it out to you. Giving you back your paper to order more. Sushi, appetizers, entrées, etc. There is also menu you can order from if you dont want the "buffet". But Ive never ordered off the menu. The staff is very friendly and hospitable. No complaints from me.

We went to eat here with our four young children on a weeknight. The food was delicious, and generous servings. Sushi was good and reasonably priced. This is a mom and pop operation, so there were a few minor issues with service: we grabbed our own forks because there were none on the table, food was brought out slowly instead of all at once for everyone at the table. That was ok with us though - we will definitely be back!

Avoid this place. Food was horrible. Service is mediocre at best. When you pay a higher price for food you would expect a high level of service and food quality. Well this place fail to deliver either. With sooooooo many other choices in baton rouge to have sushi its hard to see how this place is still open.

I ordered the chicken hibachi dinner, eel sashimi and miso soup. I had it all delivered. The delivery was timely and the portions and taste were on point. My only complaint is that the soup was pretty bland. Its awesome to have a hibachi and sushi delivery service. I see many orders happening in the future.

Absolutely fantastic. All you can eat sushi at the quality you would normally expect from an expensive sushi place that sells it by the roll/piece. Where at other similar restaurants you will find sushi dominated by rice and with miminal fish, here you will find grade A sushi at a very fair price.

Friends and b I stumbled on this little gem returning to Lafayette through Baton Rouge. The sushi was very good, service was just right. Never hovering, but always there when needed to take order or fill drinks. Excellent value. This restaurant is recommended. I will definitely return.

I love the food and service. The prices are reasonable and they have a loyalty card. However, this place has been CLOSED for remodeling for at least a week as of 9/25/17. There were no vehicles there on that day, so I am afraid it may not reopen at all.

This place was so delicious! The sushi was fresh and affordable, and the Chinese food was very good! Whenever we cant decide what to eat, this is our go to restaurant. They also deliver if you order over $30. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating!

A real hidden gem due to its secluded location but this is my favorite Chinese take out restaurant in Baton Rouge. Nothing fancy, just honestly delicious food with good variety at an affordable price point. Try the beef stew pot.

This place has reopened under new management. The staff is friendly and they are eager to get business started. The sushi is great, but I have not tried the Chinese yet. I had a very enjoyable experience.

Unfortunatly you cannot give less than one star. Obnoxious waitress and disgusting food. Neither my wife or I could eat our meals. But they still charged us for one. Will not go back.
