This was well worth our 3 hour round trip! We dined here with friends last night. Our first time since ownership changed 5 months ago. We were greeted by the owner, who took great care to explain Indian food and the various options to us. One of our friends had very specific dietary needs. Giri (sp?) worked closely with her and his chef to ensure that her needs were met. As of this writing Thai food is not an option. Giri explained to us that they are revamping their Thai food menu to ensure that the sauces do not contain shellfish or msg. As soon as they are able to do this Thai food should be back as an option. When our food arrived it was excellent! This was the first time our friends had experienced Indian food and it was love at first bite. (Dont pass on a Mango Lassi) Generally the spices are "tastefully" done. Not as hot as one would experience in India as they are geared more for our Western tastes. Flavorful is the key word here. If one would prefer the spices to be amped up Royal India will accommodate their tastes also. Service was a tad spotty yet but they are still relatively new and hey, this is NOT fast food. This is a quality tasty meal by great people. Sit back and enjoy.

We came in on a Sunday evening and was only the second table in here. It took over an hour to get a glass of juice. The service was forgetful and slow. Each drink and plate came out separately, and sometimes only after reminding. The food was good, not great, but above average. The flavors could have been more distinct. The naan tasted like the frozen stuff from the grocery. EDIT. Ok. So, Im eating the leftovers right now and they are delicious. The poor service had soured the meal. However, this Indian food is well above average. Bold, unique flavors. We might actually go there again, when we have more time. Remember, you never eat a meal out of context.

I was looking forward to the opening of this restaurant for months and was not disappointed. Decor is generally a tip off as to the quality of the food and this is not your typical cheesy buffet joint. It was much more upscale than I expected. The interior was quite inviting and comfortable. The waiters, likewise, were polite, attentive, neatly attired and prompt. The wait for my appetizer was less than ten minutes and the entre arrived 10-15 minutes after that. The food arrived perfectly warm, freshly prepared and nicely presented. And was it DELICIOUS! If you enjoy authentic Thai cuisine then I highly recommend this establishment.

We ate dinner here this evening. It had been about a year since we had been there. In that time, they have gotten a new owner/management. To say we were BLOWN AWAY is an understatement. The service was amazing. We asked for and received many spot-on recommendations from the menu. Every bite of food was absolutely amazing. I was so thoroughly impressed by every aspect of the meal - the personable service, and the delicious food was delightful. We will DEFINITELY make this a frequent choice. If you have never been here, or its been a while, I give it my HIGHEST recommendation. I wish them so much success.

I was craving Thai food and this place satiated my desire. I ordered the Panang Curry, spicy, and was impressed with the balance in the dish. Clearly the chef did not just dump chili oil in for spiciness. The coconut milk was rich and the beef was extraordinarily tender. I would have gone with five stars except the service was slightly lacking. I dined alone and the server (who I believe was all by himself) was hurried. He still got a nice tip because it isnt his fault he was flying solo. Just embrace the solo diner, please. I will certainly be returning next time Im in town and I will bring friends!

Have been there multiple times, and as long as you realize that this is AUTHENTIC thai food, mostly non-americanized, the food is amazing. I was waited on personally by the owner on my first visit, and on my second I had a new employee closely supervised by the owner. The pad thai is excellent, a great entry dish for anyone looking to try thai food, and as you get a little more exotic it still fails to disappoint. Some of the food is flavored differently than I would personally set it up, but it is all high quality and well balanced in flavor. Going for my third time tonight.

First time visiting this restaurant so we werent sure what to expect but it has good reviews so we figured wed give it a try. The young man who seated us took a good amount of time going through the menu with us and explaining the dishes since we werent quite sure what everything was. Very nice. And then the food came out... OMG! It was awesome! Everything had great flavor and there was more than enough that I had to take some home. My mouth wanted more but my stomach told me to put on the brakes. We will definitely be going back!

Flavors of Thai started as an outstanding lunch buffet. However, over the course of the last few months since opening, the buffet has gone downhill. The buffet used to include delicious eggplant dishes and crab rangoons/eggrolls. Buffet used to also include both vegetarian and pork hot sour soup. Multiple dishes used to have delicious large cuts of tofu, now there is maybe one dish with tofu. There is now no more eggplant, soup, or lots of tofu. Also, when the crab rangoons/eggrolls run out, it takes 30-40 minutes to refill.

If you are driving on I-90 for what feels like thousands of miles and think, hey I want Indian food, boy have you found your place. Everything about it was Indian. From the front window decor, the smell of spices when you walk in, to the Indian music playing gently in the background. This restaurant is a mini Indian oasis in the heart of Onalaska, Wi. The food is delicious and the staff are amazingly accommodating. Dont forget to tip Gerard.

Came in on Saturday, were never offered a menu or drinks.we were told to eat the buffet, which we didnt even want.i finally got a chance to ask for a Thai iced tea right before we left, we never received it.server said it was busy, but everyone had buffet.i watched him cater to a couple other tables bringing them wine, asking if they wanted menus, etc, yet completely ignored our presence. / / / the people he catered to while we got ignored.

Wonderful, flavorful food! Had the lunch buffet on a Saturday - they had been very busy before we arrived, but buffet was refilled very quickly. Manager was very friendly, enthused and informed about the food and making recommendations. Authentic, flavorful and fresh - definitely going back! Try the Chai tea - it is blended on site, not a tea bag. Very relaxing atmosphere.

I had an issue with this restaurant being closed during a time they were advertised to be ope, but my issue quickly addressed and responded to. I have heard great things, but have not been able to visit the establishment. As a result I am tentatively changing my review to match the average rating until I have a chance to visit because I cant find a way to pull my review.

I came home to visit my dad for fathers day and we came here for the lunch buffet. I am vegan and the host was so sweet in pointing out which options would work for me. And the WERE OPTIONS and they wereally delicious! He also mentioned that if we had called ahead and made a reservation they could have made more. So very good and helpful. I highly recommend visiting!
