My boyfriend and I are staying at the lauberge hotel and made a reservation on open table for 9:00pm. We got to the restaurant around 9:10pm and are asked if we made a reservation. When we told the woman our name, she asked if we were meeting them. We responded, "No we are them." She called over the manager and I overheard the woman telling the manager that the people who sat before us said they were under this reservation. The manager then proceeded to tell us that our reservation was a quarter of an hour ago and due to the fact that they are extremely busy and close at 9:00 they are unable to seat us. There were many tables available. Ive worked at many restaurants before and this is absolutely unacceptable. If you close at 9:00 and are extremely booked than why are you accepting reservations at this time? Clearly our reservation was taken and instead of accommodating us we were made to feel unwelcome! I will never come back or recommend this restaurant to anyone!

Accenting the positive, it looks like a high-end steak house. The plates, table setting, and prices are similar to those I have had at high-end steak restaurants. The service wasnt bad. But, unfortunately this is where any similarity to a steak restaurant ends. The food was the worst I have had in any restaurant. Our steak medallions were obviously re-heated, but not enough. It was at most warm, and tasteless. Sitting on a cold smear of unflavored mashed potatoes. My "loaded" baked potato was cold and had a 1/2 teaspoon of butter, sour cream and bacon. My wifes asparagus, were of good quality, but hard and undercooked. Again, cold after a few bites. LAuberge corporate should close down this festering black eye on their operation immediately and bring in new cook staff and management. Needless to say, we will not return.

Meet a friend there last Sunday for dinner and he already ordered my steak 10 to 15 minutes before I got there sat down and waited about 15 minutes before the waiter came by to tell me that my steak was almost done then he turned around and walked off immediately before I could order a drink or a salad then about 15 minutes later he brought out my steak and it was Luke warm like it was sitting under a heat lamp for a while! It was good but he never came back by so I could complain about it so I ate it and the we waited another 15 minutes before we could flag him down and ask for the check ! Ive been in the restaurant business for 17 years and never had this bad of service! The place only had maybe 5 other tables occupied and it was a terrible experience! I dont see how this could happen while so slow !

Thought wed try the $18 steak special on Sunday. It was what they called the Prime New York Strip, 8 oz. nothing Prime about it. Any cheap steakhouse steak was better. Just a rouse to get you in and spend a lot more money. They could at least give you an edible steak. Steak undercooked as well(had to send back while sides got cold) and service terrible. Didnt get one apology. Will not be spending money there ever again .

Was a really wonderful steak experience. Excellent prime steak cooked a perfect medium rare with great lobster. The waiter was knowledgeable and the drinks were very good too. My bill was appropriate for the quality of steak I ate. Not sure about the previous reviewers. It was really one of the best experiences Ive had.

Dinner at 18 Steak was great! Our server, Chris, was excellent! He made my wifes birthday very special... Helped make her feel like a million bucks with fantastic service and a surprise dessert that was truly "one of a kind", and delicious! We will surely go back and visit Chris again.

Love 18 Steak. Always come here for special occasions and have never been disappointed. Steaks are some of the best Ive ever had, anywhere. Waiters are always very knowledgeable and helpful in answering questions. Great wine selection. Beautiful decor too - very romantic.

Would give 0 stars but ya know u cant anyhow came here with high expectations but my husband and i both order a grade a prime ribeye and a filet in all my beef eating years i have never eatin a burnt medium cooked steak that is so unflavorful and tuff.
