Looked at the reviews prior to coming to the venue. A lot of negative comments, especially about the customer service and management. I wish I wouldve listened and not given this place the benefit of the doubt. It was all that was described and worse. The waiters are inattentive, no manners, and didnt refill our drinks not once! Well, until we asked after we were almost done with the wings. It started off bad when they said we can seat ourselves and we said ok but all of the tables were dirty. Waiter said he thinks someone is at the booth next to the one we were pointing at with food left there (shows how inattentive he was because after he cleaned our table off no one ever came back to that table and food was still there on table). Then it took them 20 minutes to give me my salad after ordering!! 20 minutes is completely ridiculous. It took about an hour to get the food and it was pretty empty in there. We talked to the waiter about the long wait time she completely blew us off, sat the food down and left without asking us if there was anything else we needed or even showing an inkling of empathy for the long wait. Then we asked for a manager and the waitress said there was not a manager at the store today she will get the bar tender, he is the highest person of AUTHORITY in the building right now. Im like....huh?....and he comes over and was pretty horrible in handling the situation. Will definitely not be coming back to this venue and advise anyone else dont wast your time, well, unless you are in to that sort of thing.

The atmosphere was nice and the staff was attentive as much as they could be considering that they had a huge amount of tables to cover with limited support. Our issue was that we sat for 15 mins before approached, immediately placed our order - fried pickles, goat burger and the full loaf sandwich both with chips. The fried pickles came out with in 10 mins not a bad way to start off and they were fresh and hot. We then sat and waited another 55 mins for our sandwiches and chips. The goat burger was nice and full of flavor but very small in portion compared to price and the Full Loaf sandwich was so lacking that when it was placed in front of my husband we just both looked at it and let out a laugh. Ever game, he tried it and to say that Subways Italian sub is better is truly no joke and the absolute truth for half the price. We ended up splitting my burger and he gamely ate the chips which had no flavor and took the full loaf home in which my teenager did not even eat it and it hit the trash can this morning. To wrap it up - great place to hang with friends, watch games and just socialize. Do not go expecting good food or timely experience more a social hang out. We wont be going back as we both looked at each other and stated it was a wasted date night!

One star for the food which was very good but was completely ruined by the ridiculously bad service. Our party waited over an hour for a table. This could have been remedied by a more resourceful hostess as 4 couples were sat at 4 tops could have been utilized for our 6 . We waited ten more minutes for sodas and water and another 10 for beers ordered when we sat down. We were told by the wait staff that she had a big party in the back and thats why we would get slower service. Really? She had a trainee that she was not utilizing. We ordered and waited 50 minutes for our food which was missing 2 items. The waitress argued with us about what we ordered and then finally brought a portion of the ordered items. We told her to take it back and bring the bill so we could leave as we were mostly finished with the food we did get. It took 15 minutes to get the bill and we never saw a manager or anyone that could have smoothed over this terrible experience. At least an apology from someone who cared whether we ever came back. This is the second time we have had poor service at The Goat but chalked it up to having a big party the last time. NO more benefit of the doubt, we will not be back. Too much good service and comparable food in Lousivillle, KY.

Im a resident here and really love the atmosphere but the service is terrible. Ive eaten here probably 10 times and aside from literally ONCE, we have had a bad experience. I even threw my dad a birthday party here and it was a disaster. Everything is wrong. We asked for a high chair only to be told that they dont carry them as "this restaurant is a bar and doesnt cater to families" (um...except I see families in there all the time). Takes forever to get a waitress to come to your table, they will take forever bringing food to you (EVERY TIME), and get your order wrong. Theres dirty tables, you wont get a refill, and your receipt will reflect wrong charges which will take forever to correct. They dont answer their phone so dont bother trying to call in an order. I dont even know who to complain to.

The restaurant itself is fine. This review is for the patrons. As a resident of the community the Goat is located in, Im offering up this suggestion: please do your best not to park in front of our apartments. I shouldnt have to come home after work every day and spend twenty minutes trying to find a parking spot within half a mile of my actual apartment. There is plenty of parking at the entrance of the complex, and if thats full, be courteous enough to the people that pay rent here to find a spot out of the way, even if you have to walk a little further. I feel like thats just being a decent human, but it seems humans may not be so decent anymore.

Started off loving this place but management has let it go. I live at LC and use the facility often. Lazy staff and they always get the order wrong. Last time we asked for a high chair and the girl told us " this is a bar not a family restaurant ". We have tried to call in orders but they no longer answer the phone and last time they did they hung up on us after making a ridiculous comment. Awesome decor and decent food but unless they get rid of the core group of staff that is currently there its not worth your time.

Have been several times and have had very mixed experiences .... If you sit at the bar you will at least have decent service otherwise table service is terrible.... If they happen to get busy plan on 2 hours to eat... The food is pretty good although its hard to mess up bar food.... Tried the Sunday brunch at was very disappointed. Im giving it the benefit of doubt but the servers need to be trained in customer service and appears to be high employee turnover for only being opened a short time so be pre warned...
