A great experience overall. Drinks were good and reasonably priced. Large selection of Bourbons available. My friend ordered the $235 10oz. Miyazaki Wagyu steak and I ordered a $70 16oz. Dry aged New York Strip steak. I was more impressed with my steak than I was my friends. I had a bite of his, it was delicious, but so was mine. Im certainly no steak connoisseur, but I was thoroughly impressed by how well both of them were cooked. I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 because I was quite underwhelmed by our seating. It appeared they were a bit understaffed, and our 2 top was seated in a small booth by the bar. While I understand normally a two top is not always going to get the best of tables when you have a price list on steaks as they do, I would have expected better seating. Our 2 Top spent over $400. Our server was top-notch. Very professional very quick and and served our table very very well. When you order the $235 10oz Miyazaki Wagyu Steak, it comes with a bit of an experience. The chef comes out to your table and brings up two sheets of paper. One shows the certificate of authenticity on the beef. And one shows a bunch of ratings and lineage information of the cow that it came from. It even has a snout print from the cow on the sheet (a bit overkill if you ask me, but we laughed). The sides were fantastic. My $70 16 Oz dry aged New York Strip was amazing. I had the blue cheese crust and was thoroughly impressed with the preparation and flavors. In my opinion, I would pick this every time. We wrapped up the meal with coffee. As you would expect in any fine dining restaurant coffee came in a French press carafe. It was a great blend coffee, really impressed with its quality! I only have two regrets with this dining experience, one regret was that we werent seated properly and I should have asked for better seating considering we knew how much we were about to spend. And a second regret is that we didnt have enough room left to eat dessert. I really wish I would have tried their desserts as I am sure they would have been impressive. All in all, a great dining experience!

Went out to treat myself and sat at the bar to watch some NCAA b-ball, have a cup of corn/crab chowder and a dry aged ribeye. The food was excellent, thats really to be expected, however, the bartenders (Amir & Michelle) were an incredibly pleasant surprise and what took the experience over the top. They were very personable and spot on in making great wine suggestions based on my food choices. A smooth, buttery chardonnay was a great compliment to the subtle crab sweetness and rich cream base of the soup; but the best was yet to come. The rib eye was a perfect medium rare, had that slight "earthiness" characteristic of the dry aging process. Also had a lightly crispy crust, a unique and pleasant addition and together went perfectly with the suggestion of the night - the prisoner red wine blend. Do you like em bold, with low tannins and a strong oaky/vanilla finish? Me too, especially with steak and Amir delivered a real winner here. I agree that overall, the restaurant is a bit pricey but well in line with the quality of food delivered. In the end, I didnt even bother watching the b-ball games since I was so entertained by Amir/Michelle. My hats off to the entire team at Le Moo, my entire family and I look forward to seeing you again at Derby time. Next time Im in alone/with my fiancee, Ill be sure to head to the bar for the ultimate experience, you should too! Tell Amir and Michelle I said Hi!

NO! Say it isnt so! I have anticipated visiting this restaurant since it first opened. I decided to splurge a bit and got reservations for 7 on Mothers day which include mt wife, kids and a spouse. Let me say this first, the food was out of this world, everything we were served was delicious and portions were correct. Where did they fall short? Anything and everything remotely associated with service. My total bill with tip (I tipped 15% regardless) was close to $400 dollars. With that being said we arrived early and were pleasantly surprised that they seated us early.......in a 6 spot table. We were forced to sit 4 adults on a bench where only 3 spots existed. The waiter never said a word even though it was obvious we were very uncomfortable with this arrangement. I soldiered on however without complaining as I was on a quest to see how good this place might be. Our server was very pleasant however we were left for long periods of time. From the time we walked in until our food was delivered was 1 full hour. We had to ask another waiter for assistance when we were done because our waiter never came back to the table. Pitiful actually. One other thing, several of the Menu items were not available on Mothers Day. I will go back based on the incredible food quality, but one more strike and they will be out for good.

This was my first visit to Le Moo, and it will not be my last! it had been highly recommended, so i had high expectations. I was not disappointed. Our bartender, Alex, was personable and professional. He makes the best Old Fashioned in town! My wife had a Wayfarer, one of the house specialty drinks, and loved it. My Caesar salad was wonderful, maybe the best Ive had. The bacon, poached egg, and baguette croutons were an unexpected nice touch. Kevin has the bread flown in three times weekly from a Tribeca bakery in New York, and when I tasted it I understood why. You simply must try this bread with the sorghum butter! The steak! I had the New York strip. It is hands down the best steak in Louisville, tender, cooked to perfection, flavorful. It puts Ruths Chris, et al., to shame! I have traveled quite a bit and had great steaks from NYC (Sparks, JWs, Peter Luger), Boston (The Palm Room), Chicago (Mortons), to San Francisco (McCormicks), and honestly, Le Moo takes a back seat to none! I recommend Le Moo without hesitation! we will definitely go back again ... and again!

Odd how a restaurant specializing in beef cant seem to get a simple burger right. My first visit was great, a near perfect burger. Tge menu touts the quality of the beef in their burger and was excited to get a quality burger cooked mid-rare. Subsequent visits proved to be a disaster. After many apologies from management, and voucher for use on return, they could never get it right. Heck, they couldnt even get it close. On my last attempt they told me they no longer cook burgers unless its medium well or well done. I already knew that from experience. Guess if your chefs arent competent enough to get a burger right just change the menu to match their ability. 5 visits with only one good experience is enough. Had high hopes, but alas, reality set in and theyre just not up to it. Lots of hype, but not much else.

Went on 4 Feb 2017 for our anniversary. We had reservations for 830 and were seated at 845. Not too bad for a Saturday night. We were seated so close to another couple that our conversations blended with each other. Any other time might not have been bad but our anniversary night was not the right time. Our waiter arrived 15 mins later and we were ready to order our appetizer and main meal. They brought us the wrong appetizer first and then took our appetizer to the wrong table twice. Our waiter said the kitchen was backed up and we received our food (8oz prime filet and 14 oz prime NY strip) 45 minutes later. The food was pretty good. This was our first time there and for the price and service I probably will not return. The service was chaotic but the food was pretty good but not that good.
