We came to Feast on the advice of colleague that recommended it as an authentic BBQ in the NuLu area. Coming from out of town, I always prefer to eat where locals go, and this turned out to be a good call here. When you enter the restaurant, there is a large menu on the wall that you place your order from directly in front of you at the register next to the bar. I ordered the half rack of baby back smoked ribs, sweet potato fries and when I was stuck on the second side, the employee suggested the mac-n-cheese saying its the best in Louisville. Sold. Lastly, after reading all of the reviews, I went with the Orange Creamsicle Bourbon Slushy. Awesome! Wood picnic style tables are setup in the main dining area where you set up the number you received at ordering. Shortly after seating, out comes the food. Giant portions of meat and sides sit in baskets on a stainless steel trail. The Ribs are OUTSTANDING! Smoked meat slides right off the bone and has just the right amount of char crusting sealing in the delicious pork. The Mac-n-Cheese is creamy and thick. Awesome! Ill add my voice to the choir of folks here that recommend having a Bourbon Slushy. Perfect compliment to excellent Kentucky BBQ fare. Definitely add Feast on your Bookmark of places to eat when in Louisville.

Feast has the best BBQ that youll find in town. After going there for my first time, I literally had a dream about eating there that night - its that good! I had the brisket with an add-on of ribs and potato salad. The wife had pulled pork with baked beans and mac & cheese. Everything was fantastic. We really liked adding the hot vinegar sauce on the table to everything, but were vinegar BBQ fans. While there, we did experience an issue. At the counter I ordered an add-on of ribs just so we could try everything. It apparently didnt get entered into the system, however, because it wasnt on the tray when the food came out. I mentioned this to the staff because I wanted to make sure I wasnt charged for something that I didnt get. She went into the kitchen to check my ticket, then came back and said that it was accidentally omitted from my order and assured me that I wasnt charged for it. I was content to let it go at that point as mistakes happen. Two minutes later, she came back with a small side of ribs and said they were on the house!

Champagne Velvet Lager was light and refreshing, note they do have Three Floyds on draft, but wait, the Bourbon slushy was simply a beautiful thing, flavor was really good and fun. I was told the bourbon slushy was made from black label and a touch of Ale 8, which is interesting and Im gonna say I would come back and get another one, absolutely delicious. The baby back ribs were tender, the tater tots were good, the greens were a bit on the vinegar side for me, but Ive been spoiled by the Red Yeti greens. Had two brisket tacos one American and one Mexican, the brisket was good and smokey, and tacos were huge, American style done with chives and the Mexican done with pickeled onions. Bring your appetite and dig in!!

Every time I realize this restaurant is in Louisville I cry. My husband and I, Louisville natives, now reside on the west coast. However, we come to visit family quite frequently and this place is one of the places we consistently eat at. OH. MY. GOODNESS. If you havent tried them I dont know what you are doing, especially if you love BBQ! This is THE BEST BBQ I have ever had in my life. They do such a great job on their brisket (this is how we judge typically). Their sweet potato fries are out of this world, so is their coleslaw. We havent really branched out too much because we love what we get when we come, but if we visit this place twice in one visit to Louisville, I can tell you its amazing. Check it out!

This is some of the best BBQ in Louisville! Get there early for lunch to avoid the line, however it is definitely worth the wait if you have to stand in line. Pork, chicken, brisket sandwiches with sides or just meat and sides with no bun. The mac n cheese is strong, and even though Im not much of a cole slaw guy, I love their slaw. The draft beer list is great, including several local and regional brews. One of my favorite items on the menu: brisket tacos. Sit at picnic tables in a very cool atmosphere, and try all the sauces that come on the table. My favorite sauce is the hot vinegar. There are tables on the sidewalk for nice days. Check it out!

Really cool local BBQ place in NuLu. FIrst off you should know this was the third time we tried going to this restaurant. It is very popular and often has a VERY long line. We went late on a Saturday night after most had left and it was great. I really liked both the pulled pork as well as the brisket but my wife felt the brisket was not as good as Marks Feed Store, I am not really a fan of brisket so I thought it was very good. We tried the tacos, both American and mexican style, and they were very well done and tasty. Over all I really enjoyed it and will definitely go back.

I love eating barbecue and have eat a lot of it--and Im picky. Most of it is marginal, if that. Feast is very, very good. The best in Louisville Ive had so far since Freds on Hill St decades ago. On the first visit, possibly the best ribs Ive had in years. They have their own thing going on, which is a good thing. "Award winning" places dont have ribs this good. Second visit the ribs were tough--not nearly as good as first time. But, no one has control of meat and sometimes that happens since every piece is different. Everything else was fantastic. Brisket is great.

We didnt know what we wanted to eat and were driving a bit blurry eyed when we passed this place and said thats what we want. We order half pound pulled pork and brisket. They were both very good and a bit too much food really...unless you are super hungry or a big eater. I wish they had a bit of a sweet BBQ sauce the Original is what I used and husband used hot and the vinegar hot and he stated both were quite hot. There was a line the whole time we were there so a great sign of good food. It was good BBQ, but not out of this world BBQ. We would go again if in the area.

I heard good things from friends who live in LVille about Feast, and when I arrived in the city, I headed straight for NuLu and Feast. I ordered the half-pound chicken with Collards and Mac n Cheese. The chicken was so moist and delicious, I completely forgot to try the sauces. The mac n cheese was served in individual small pie plates, and was like a pie with the perfect breaded crust. They had a great beer list, and I selected a Monnik Saison, which was a great pairing. Clean Restrooms, friendly staff. Overall, fantastic food and experience!

Only reason I cant give a 5 is because I am from Texas and partial to our flavors and styles of BBQ. The half rack of ribs was a good portion. The Collard Greens were tasty and cooked to the right tenderness. The Mac and Cheese was a little dry but tasted good. The "HOT" BBQ sauce had no heat to it. More like Black Pepper flavored BBQ sauce. Again, I am from Texas where HOT means hot. Burn your mouth and beg for more kind of spicy. On a positive note the sauce had a good taste and consistency.
