We had our first experience with FDKY BBQ today. We absolutely loved it! I ordered online and picked it up ready to go about 45 minutes later. (I feel like I couldve picked up sooner if I wouldve called. But was in no rush) Customer Service A++ The gentleman at the counter was so courteous and friendly. Making jokes and just an overall good place to go to. I noticed they had a drive thru - this momma will be thinking of FDKY BBQ more often! We had the Family Pack with Pulled Chicken, Slaw and Mac and Cheese. I suggest getting all sauces to try which ones you would like the best. Dining room was not at all packed for 6 P.M. would of been a nice place to sit and eat as well with my two rowdy toddlers, but I prefer to be on the safe side lol. Thanks FDKY BBQ :)

Ive had a lot of BBQ locally and in many parts of the country, including regions known for great "Q" (Memphis, Kansas City, Dallas). FDKY does not disappoint. Good, smoky flavor and the meat is never dried out. Ive had their brisket, pulled pork and ribs. All are very good. Several sauces are available (Sweet/spicy, Carolina, Hot, Bourbon based). Theyre tasting and the only complaint is that they arent very thick. Its not a problem to me because they taste good. They offer lunch specials (sandwich with choice of meat, one side and drink). Its a fair deal and puts the other area Q joints at a disadvantage.

I dont get all the 5 star reviews. I went there on a Saturday and arrived a few minutes after noon. The parking lot was almost empty which to me is a bad sign. Waited a half an hour for friends to arrive and in that time only one couple and another guy entered. Any place thats as good as the reviews say will have more customers for lunch on a Saturday. I ordered the marinated pork. Like another reviewer said, it was like crock pot BBQ. Seasoned fries werent as good as those at most fast food places. Atmosphere was nice and the staff friendly but I honestly cant say Id recommend the place for their BBQ.

I get their fish dinner every friday, which is the only night they have it???????? Their fish is great! Now for the bad. You can only get their excellent fish dinner on friday, and they run out of it before closing quite often. Another negative is that you cant call an order in over the phone, pretty much unheard of in standard restaurants. If you eat there in the restaurant, they have a no tipping policy. That gives the workers no incentive to do a good job. Maybe thats why they are always hiring. Dont get me wrong, this place has great food! They could sure use a few tweaks, though.

The best BBQ Ive had in Louisville so far. Its smoky, moist, and full of flavor, and the sides are delicious including my favorite deep fried yeast rolls! Yum! The Kentucky Rain sauce is my favorite, but the others are good as well. Ive tried Jucys, Bootleg, and Marks Feed Store, and this is the best. Its very reasonable for the portions that you get. It also has a very comfortable atmosphere, and the service has been great so far. Sometimes theyre out of brisket, but its understandable because its so good!! Youve got to try this place.

Food was great. Attitude was horrible. They were open and taking orders but then rushed you to get out. They shut the TVs off and soda machines and just stood there staring while you finished eating. We ordered at 7:40 and they said , my manager prefers you take this to leave. I said your still open, we prefer not to eat in the car. The drive thru was open untill 9 and they were steady turning people away. The food is 5 star, the service attitudes are crap!

Outstanding! We ordered online with no complications (wish there were more pictures on mobile). I ordered all the sides, love the brown gravy, baked beans were really good too. Also ordered ribs that were falling off the bone and brisket. The fried dinner roll was different but it matched surprisingly well with the cold butter. The bourbon bbq sauce was very unique. Will definitely be back. And theyre a PokéStop lol...

Worst half rack of ribs Ive ever experienced. It smelled similar to my dogs jerry treats. The meat was ridiculously dry and was burnt on most sides. Fries were only good part. The Fire sauce is a joke for being "spicy". Thankfully I was only in town temporarily for training. Ill have to visit my bbq spot at home to wipe this terrible experience from my mind and taste buds.

They have some great BBQ!!! Ive had the brisket, marinated pulled pork, and ribs, all very good! They have several choices of BBQ sauce, I love the Chicago Fire sauce and the twang from Kentucky Rain. Lots of good sides to choose from. They also did a tremendous job of renovating the building theyre in!!! A very tasteful tribute to all the great firefighters out there!

Not real thrilled about this place. I took my wife here for our anniversary because I thought we would try a different place. Looks like I owe her now. They brought us the wrong food and we were the only people in the place. Not like they were busy. Ribs had no flavor and neither did the sweet slaw. Expensive for food with no taste. We wont be back.

Dont know what this last guy is talking about with his 1-star review. This is the BEST bbq Ive ever had. And Im not a huge bbq fan. Their lunch special is HUGE and inexpensive. And they have this new entree for fall/winter that is a stew. I call it bb-stew. It was delicious (they let me sample). You will not be sorry going here for lunch or dinner.

Might not be the best BBQ in Louisville, but its certainly my favorite. Their "Chicago Fire" BBQ sauce is the best Ive ever had! I want to try something different but the pulled pork and seasoned fries pull me back in every time. If you like BBQ, especially REAL BBQ, for a reasonable price, come check this place out.

3 Terms you need to Know: Brisket, Burnt Ends (Mondays), Wings (Thursdays). These 3 are the best Ive found, service was spot on, and the the Fire Dept theme is great. Great place for the family and value is superb for what you get. (Yes I had ribs too - falling off the bone as I likeem!)

I love barbecue and this place hit the spot. Easy to get to and parking was fine. The prices are very fair. the pulled pork sandwich that I had was incredible, along with the bourbon barbecue sauce that they had on the tables. The fries were also decent, but nothing special.

Great barbecue here! This has quickly become our favorite local BBQ place. Everything Ive tried is great. I especially like the Kentucky Rain sauce. I usually only like Georgia style barbecue (with mustard based sauce), but this place has opened my eyes to KY BBQ!
