Ive tried to give the staff here the benefit of the doubt as much as I possibly can, but its been the biggest disappointment Ive had in a long time at a restaurant. Both times Ive been here Ive had to practically beg to be acknowledged. Ive personally worked several years in restaurants, and have so much sympathy for the staff, but the service is really inexcusable, regardless of how busy they are. If wed just been greeted, told someone would be with us as soon as possible, and had our drink order taken, I could have let a lot of it go. Instead, we sat for half an hour before I finally caught someones attention and was able to order. Our server told us the wait for food would be about another thirty minutes, and we agreed. During that time, I witnessed two other tables complain about their orders being wrong, and the cook complaining and cussing out a server while she wasnt in the front. Approximately thirty minutes later, one plate of biscuits and gravy was brought to the person I was with. Five minutes after that, her eggs, etc, were brought to the table. Finally, the pancakes I ordered came to the table. Id given up on getting my eggs and bacon, despite being charged for them. However, several more minutes later, that grease-soaked plate arrived, too. The server did at least seem apologetic for the wait. If the place were more crowded, I could excuse it, but there were only about five tables. That shouldnt be a problem for two servers and a cook, even if they do only have a single grill. The bison burger I had last week was very good. The breakfast today, not so much. It was okay. Not worth $8.00 and a 1 1/2 hour wait. Lets face it: Waffle House should never have to be the better option.

If I could give them a ZERO I would. Dont visit this restaurant. I had the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant this evening. After waiting 30 minutes for our food, I asked the manager if she could give us to go boxes to which she rudely responded by saying, "the food is already on the plate." After we received our food I found 3 pieces of hair in my food and decided to return to the restaurant to file a complaint. None of the workers who were preparing the food wore hairnets and the resturant was unsanitary. After I told one of the workers that I found hair in my food he asked me why I didnt leave the hair in the food to prove it. After they decided to give me a refund the manager started rummaging through the trash with her bare hands to find the receipt. After digging through the trash she continued handling food for other costumers. Absolutely disgusting conditions along with terrible costumer service make this restaurant a terrible dive. Do not visit this restaurant.

I went recently with my brother and I have gone a couple times before. I find it to be a very cute and affordable restaurant; however when I went it was not busy. There were people eating but no one waiting to be served or waiting for their order, so to be served would not have been a difficult task. The service, absolutely depending the worker, was horrible. No one acknowledged that we were there. We waited thirty minutes to just decide that this was ridiculous and left. As we were leaving, a group of people came in. My brother debated staying, but I voted against it. We proceeded to go to a nearby restaurant. We were there about thirty five minutes enjoying our food, to find the same group of people talking about how at the last restaurant they were at, they were never served. It is sad to me that this business lost out on money because of this poor worker. I do not doubt that this is not a one time occurrence. When going to Burger Boy please be aware of this nuisance.

They spit in my burger! I had been waiting for over half an hour for my fast food burger and fries, and complained. After I complained I was watching as my burger was made. The guy, who later called himself A.J. spit on my burger while it was on the grill! I immediately called him out on it, and he kept bagging up my burger and fries. I asked to see the manager, who said his name was Mark. Obviously, A.J. denied it. The manager didnt believe me and said he "didnt have the authority" to give me my money back. I was even willing to accept a replacement burger, but they wouldnt make it! He said to come in to see the owner the next day, but I was on vacation and busy and couldnt make it in the next day. I am disputing this on my credit card bill, writing reviews everywhere, and will be reporting it to the health department. DONT GO HERE, WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!

I always loved coming to burger boy every weekend for my Sunday brunch for the past 4 years but as time went on I only visit of Im desperately craving my fave corn beef hash. Takes for ever to get served with or without a crowd. Waited 30 min to just get water and get order taken then another 30 or more to get the food. Maybe longer than that. I waited so long I lost track of time. I probably could have jogged downtown and back. Service gets poorer as time goes on. Surprised their doors are still open. Idk if the owner pays attention to this because it seems no change is in effect. If the business is really cared for, changes would be implemented. This place is under utilized because of service issues. I would give lower stars if I didnt love the corn beef hash. This is my last time her how ever. My new fave spot if North End cafe@ Frankfort Ave.

Burger and Philly had way too many spices on it. Burger was also burnt. Chicken Strips were overcooked (not to mention they had no bbq or honey mustard for dipping), service was slow, but they were understaffed. Played songs on the jukebox bc the cook told me it still worked even though you could only see one page of songs to pick from because it wouldnt flip to see other selections so I picked some and I believe he turned in down because I missed two songs even after asking him to turn it back up and finally the waitress did. Ive ate here a few times before and always had a good experience so I hope they get it together again soon because the food and atmosphere is what has kept me coming back.

Despite the name, I was quite disappointed by their burgers. They were rather small, and average in terms of quality and flavor. However, their breakfast food is good. And you cant beat their hours (24/7/365). The service is very relaxed. Perhaps _too_ relaxed. Everyone was friendly enough, but if the staff has a fault, its that they are too casual, and not professional enough. The "free" WiFi here is horrible. Many web pages are blocked, and other services like email and IM dont work. It is possible their router is just mis-configured or needs to be replaced. But in any case, their Internet was unusable for me--I had to tether from my mobile phone to even post this review.

I went in on a very slow day and just before the cooks changed out for some breakfast. The meal was ok at best but I was told this was a stand in cook. The place its self was cool. It was a little walk back in time and the layout is very different. You can sit at the "bar" and watch your food made or walk in the back to sit in the tables only area. You can watch them wash dishes and other stuff. The collection of bumper stickers is quite fun to read. This little place is what the old small conner shop tasted like back in the day. When I get some time I am going back to give the food a try of a real rating. Watch out, you never know when we will walk thru your door.
