First off, reading reviews will give you an idea of some peoples standards and experiences. In knowing that, also, know that I am not an avid review writer, but feel that small business can get great info from a review. So here goes nothin... I stopped in for a late lunch because of the "homeade rootbeer" and because i love to spread the love to all small businesses. I ordered the breaded tenderloin, onion rings, and a rootbeer float. MY BILL WAS 11.84 AND I TIPPED 3.00. If I cant get a lunch size meal for 5$ or 6$ then I wont be back for lunch ever. This is just my opinion. I could have went to noodles and company, panera, or qdoba and ate a fresh, healthy, great tasting meal for less and everyone knows eating healthy is supposed to be more expensive, right? Not in this case. Another thing that was bothersome was that I felt i had to tip at a place that clearly only has fast food quality food. I was in the restaurant business until about a year ago so I am no stranger to tipping and customer service. For this quality of food they should be paying their employees enough to not need tips. This reminded me of a Sonic. My tenderloin was obviosly pounded out to make it HUGE. In doing this it makes the meat super thin, dry, and ridiculously oversized. I am not a person who likes to eat 2 inches of tenderloin before i get to the bun and then and inch of dry bun and tenderloin before i get to the lettuce, 1 tomato, and very little mayo....and yes those things cost .29 extra. 1 tomato wasnt even close to what was needed for this sandwich, but until they fix the dry, flat meat problem that wont even matter. My onion rings were super hot so i waited til i got back to work to eat them. once cooled they are hard, thick batter covering? Is there even an onion in there? No good at all. My root beer was good, but i was shocked that it wasnt carbonated. not having been here before, maybe their tank is low or out.....quality control. who likes getting a soda that has no carbonation? I for one, was happier that it wasnt carbonated...makes me gassy. It had an odd after taste at first but that faded and for the price it should have a hand dipped scoop of ice cream instead of soft serve. I will try something else next time, but completely got the over priced fast food vibe from this place. MY SERVER AT CURBSIDE SERVICE WAS AWESOME! My food was done in about 3 minutes so they could have a drive through.

I like the food here (minus the "famous" tenderloin, which is just a thin patty of breading) , but it is extremely overpriced. Also, Im clearly not the only one who is less than enthused with the service. Service here as always been one of those things thats like "Well it wasnt bad, but it wasnt necessarily good either." I went for dinner lastnight with my mom and sister - worst experience ever. It started with seeing a sign posted on the counter that they are charging 50 cents for extra sauces. FIFTY CENTS, are you freaking kidding me?! It costs upwards of $10 for one meal, and you need to charge fifty cents for sauces?! Give me a break... And I know this doesnt qualify as "poor service", but annoying nonetheless. As soon as we sit down at a booth to start eating, they start their closing duties. It was 735pm. Theyre open until 9pm. Were trying to eat and visit, and we have people walking around us sweeping, mopping, and emptying the trash.. After mopping, they bring out a huge utility fan and aim it [what felt like] directly at us. Nothing makes me lose my appetite more than having a nasty fan blowing air on me, and dust and debree all over my food. Also, its about 20 degrees outside, even colder with windchill factor, so the fan was unappreciated. When we finished eating, which didnt take long because we were FREEZING, there was nowhere to put our trash. They had emptied all of the trash bins but not put new liners in. Full, tied up, trash bags had just been sitting outside of the containers for about twenty minutes. Not too sure if/when Ill be back.

Was here today, Sunday late afternoon, 5pm, have been coming here for years. Used to eat here about every other weekend, then again I lived within 5 minutes of the place. First thing, was greated by a smiling, extremely polite and bubbly young lady at the counter, even complimented management on her service. One of the staff just came by and asked if she could take my tray, and went to "refill" my root beer, new frosted mug. Also seen one of the staff go out of her way to carry a customers tray when it appeared the customer had their hands full, with a child eager to eat... Sat within earshot of counter, staff seemed to be courteous to all customers. The tenderloin was very good, since it is so large, the young lady taking my order asked if Id like the sandwich cut in half, I asked them to just cut the meat, which eliminated the extra meat outside the bun. Onion rings were great, as usual, and love the root beer in the frosted mug. Not sure about all the negative comments, have rarely had anything I would consider sub-par service, keeping in mind that people do have a "bad day". I cannot think of an instance where the food was unacceptable, and love the root beer. I do realize that everyone has their own opinions and expectations really would recommend this place, try it you might really like it. Will continue coming back.

Food took forever to make. I overheard the cooks being quite rude to one of the cooks. I witnessed employees refuse to help get dipping sauces for our food. I received the wrong toppings on my sandwiches. Watched as a cook threw an order in the window, spilling the contents of a bag, and food contacting the surface, and the drive thru cashier scoop it back into the bag bare handed and give it to the customer. I would have pointed out they put 1000 island dressing on my fish sandwich instead of tartar sauce, but I was nervous that the cooks may do something disgusting to my food if I did, id already witnessed a strong attitude from them as it stood. It was the first and only time I will visit this restaurant.

I watched man vs food and was on a cross country tour with a friend and decided to stop in an try some authentic Indiana food at Edwards. Before arriving I read all of the lousy reviews but assumed Edwards must have something going for it...it was on tv after all. I couldnt have been more wrong. My friend and i got a burger, onion rings, and a pork tenderloin sandwich. Not one of these items were cooked to order...dry tenderloin, greasy old onion rings and a burger that had probably been ccooked 30 min prior to our arrival. It was basically a glorified fast food spot. Trust the reviews, they do not lie. This place is not worth your time or money...
