People always take for granted the nearby places that are local attractions...It always amazes me to drive by the local KFC with Museum and see people posing for pictures out front by the sign. I think the Museum and Cafe need some TLC and a good CLEANING; it is an important local, state, and nationwide place and it looks shabby and sad. Water stains on the ceiling, cracking plaster, damaged furniture, and broken glass are easy fixes that can make us proud again of the museum. One thing that really needs to be addressed is the bathroom odor, most restaurants have bathrooms away from the eating area or at least double doors or a wall. The food is GREAT as always!! But there are no mature people to answer question about the museum, to care for it, or to take pride in the place...its just a job to them. Our town revolves around the chicken theme and like all things in this town we are letting our treasures go to ruin.

This is the tastiest museum Ive ever been in. Although I came with the intention of finally stealing Col. Sanders secret recipe for my very own, I left with a full belly and appreciation for the fried chicken that comes out of the great state of Kentucky. I never did find out what those 11 herbs and spices were, but I didnt need to. As long as I can go to the end of the block to find the same taste that the Colonel intended, Im fine with them remaining a mystery.

Horrible I got the $20 meal with mac n cheese that tasted like plastic, potato wedges that were hard and cold, mash potatoes and gravy was the best thing. Chicken was old, breading soggy and greasy, and last but not least the biscuits were dry and hard as rocks.Called and the management said for me to come back by and hed replace everything, but my time and gas tank says otherwise. FYI he said the chicken can be warmed for two hours after being fried....

I went to this restaurant recently and I would not go there again. What made me give this an average rating is that the food was filling. The dissapointment was that although the museum was interesting, it does not excite you the way the advertisments make it seem. I thought the food, as good as it is, tasted just like normal KFC food. The whole room was cold and I could have gotten better service somewhere else.

For all of the highway signs leading to this historic site, we were disappointed that there wasnt more of an homage paid to this original KFC. The actual kitchen, motel room, and office were cool, but oddly placed at different parts of the dining room. Take good photos because theres no souvenirs to take back except indigestion from the Colonels Original Recipe.

Cool place to visit if your in the Corbin area. I thought it would be more exiting and more to see but it was nice. Basically a couple exhibits which I believe were mostly recreated. Some cool memorabilia and pictures on display. As far as the restaurant, I love KFC but this location, the food wasnt that great nor the service.

Very disappointed. Its basically a bland KFC restaurant with some displays. Half of the displayed items were in the dining room which is awkward. I dont want to wander around a KFC dining room trying to look at the displays next to people eating. It would of made more sense to keep the food and museum displays separately.

It was pretty neat to see the original Kentucky Fried Chicken. I already like to eat there so I really wanted to go to this one. It was not as much of a big deal as I expected, but neat to see. It is something I can say that I have been to. They have a nice place to sit and eat.

Great chicken and great place to stop off and see the origional KFC kitchen museum. When I travel through with family I get photos of nieces and nephews with the Colonel. Its a blast for me and I think it embarrasses the kids but all in good fun I really think they like it to.

Meh. Just stick to places close to the interstate for food/service. Other than the coolness factor of seeing the original restraunt portion, the service and food is what to be expected from any KFC. No greeting, no smiles, subpar food. Colonel Sanders rolling in his grave.

Literally the worst food Ive ever eaten from this chain in any state. Stop by to see the museum, but be prepared to eat elsewhere. Store is usually dirty, food is cold or greasy, and the secret spices have been kept secret..... like not even in their breading.

For the first KFC ever its pretty disappointing. All it is is a normal KFC with normal KFC food stuck in the original building. Some of the exhibits they have in the eating area are cool though its worth checking out if you are in the area and want KFC

The birth place of the legendary KFC! Thoroughly enjoyed their great chicken and the place itself. Never thought I would be there but really glad that i did! If anyone loves KFC, its a must go place.

That was a perfect experience. Best fried chicken Ive ever had, learned some cool things, ate in a museum, and they were very generous in giving more than we paid for.

Good food and fun history lesson. The kids learned about more than just Colonel Sandars, it is also a look into the past and an older way of life.

This is the original KFC. While it has a full KFC menu, there is whole section of historic items, including the original kitchen. Worth a stop!

Birthplace of Kentucky fried chicken. A standard KFC with a museum in the seating area. Worth stopping just to say you did.

Lots of cool bits of KFC history, including a replica of the kitchen and a map of how it looked originally, very cool!

Dirty, understaffed, slow service and rude employees. Not what you would expect from a landmark tourist restaurant.

Fun nostalgic place. Food was typical KFC. My only negative is that i found the dining area in need of cleaning.

Visited here because of its historical significance. My first KFC visit in US and the fried chicken was tasteful.
