My family are fans of Cracker Barrel but this visit was one of the worst we have ever experienced. After taking our orders (party of 7), our server came back to tell us that they were out of chicken and dumplings. At Cracker Barrel, known for that item. Four of our party had to modify our orders. Then very shortly after that, two orders came to the table and 1/2 of a third order. Our server brought a plate of 4 biscuits to a table of 7 (5 children, by the way, who all wanted biscuits). I wanted to request more biscuits as well as jelly but our server was absent for 15 minutes. She came with a second wave of entrees and I asked for more biscuits and some jelly, also ketchup. Four of the orders were from the breakfast menu. By the time I settled the children with biscuits, my plate was cold. When the server came back with the ketchup, she brought a second order of an entree that had already been served and eaten! And minutes later brought yet another order that had been already served! My check arrived for the full amount, no consideration for the multiple problems and mixups. So I requested to speak with a manager on checkout. He told me that they had "opportunities in the kitchen"...what? Some kind of corporate doublespeak. Maybe the dumpling maker didnt come in? He took off my meal because it was cold (which incidentally was the least expensive because it was a veggie plate) and did not charge us for our drinks, four drinks because 3 of the meals were from the kids menu. And I heard an apology to another customer because they didnt have macaroni and cheese. I tipped my waitress on the original bill. It was a really disappointing visit.

The food was acceptable. However the looks from the locals pierced my soul and left me uneasy. Perhaps if you are an out of towner from the "big city" you should get your food to go to take back to the Wigwam. It will save you the feeling that the locals are plotting to beat you senseless in the parking lot or reenact their favorite scene from deliverance. There was a gentleman that worked there with face tattoos, I wanted to hug him and tell him someday everything will be okay. The waitress brought my bbq dipping sauce I asked for in a timely manner, but deep down I felt she was judging me. I understand Cracker Barrel itself is not to blame for the locals behavior but I also felt they did nothing to discourage it. Hashbrown casserole was delicious.

Were able to get seated right away. Waitress was friendly. When food arrived it was okay. Chicken was not fresh it was that frozen reheated kind you buy from store slathered with a very thick white gravy. Rice was cold and under cooked. Smashed potatoes and mac and cheese were good. Had to ask for butter twice for rolls before anyone brought us any. While we were still eating the waitress came and took our plates and gave us our check. I told her we were still eating and she said "oh I thought you were done" never asked us if we would like dessert or coffee or never asked us if we were done. Very disappointed.

One star is one too many. We were seated quickly, but the food was terrible and the service was worse. The chicken and fried catfish were very overcooked and dry, the green beans were extremely soggy, and the sweet potato fries were really greasy. My dinner arrived without the fries and after I asked for them, I had to wait more than ten minutes for them to arrive. I had to ask for water three times and waited without a drink for most of the meal. Dont bother stopping here. If youre passing through on I-65, do yourself a favor and keep on driving.

I like cracker barrel, they have good food, good service, and decent prices. When I go I usually get the chicken fried chicken which is always very good, but the last time I went my chicken was raw in the middle. Not undercooked, raw. Naturally I stopped eating and didnt eat any of the other food it came with. The manager took it off the bill no problem at all which was nice but I just wish they were a little more careful because my stomach was messed up for the rest of the day over that.

Today is July 19, 2017 We dined between 7-8 PM Central. 1)We were brought only 3 wet bread plates for a party of 4. We were told there were only 3 clean plates. 2)Approx. 5-10 minutes after we ordered we were told there is no cornbread and it would be 20 minutes. We saw cornbread going to other tables. 3) Bread was burnt on grilled chicken blt. 4) We spoke to the manager 3 times and he gave excuses. The table next to us had a complaint as well. Worst experience at a Cracker Barrel

Do yourself a favor,Dont eat here. If you do DONT ORDER THE COUNTRY FRIED STEAK, worst meal ever could not eat it, mcdonalds would have been better, this is probably one of the worst places to eat if this is home cooking they have been deprived, our waitress was great only good thing about it, if you want home cookin go down the road to the WATERMILL RESAURANT good service and food you can eat cheaper price too

We drove up from Atlanta to do some "touristing" around Cave City a few weeks ago. We ate at Cracker Barrel for breakfast with my parents (who had drove down from NE Ohio to meet us) on a Saturday. They were busy...plus there were EIGHT in our party...but we still received hands-down the best service weve ever gotten at a Cracker Barrel! Thank you for helping to make our little road trip amazing!

They had horrible service. We were seated for 10 minutes before someone took our order. (Our server walked by us 3 or 4 different times before). Then we get our food and the bowl of grits was pure water and the bowl was half empty. Our server gave us our food and ten came right back with the check. She had no training and it as obvious. Would not recommend go to waffle house or subway.

My husband and I have traveled and eat at many Cracker Barrells all over the East side of the US. Our favorite thing to order is the Haddock dinner because it had ALWAYS been exceptionally good. I have to say this visit was different. The Haddock was watery and lacking taste and our fries were old, everything else including our service was real good though. Not sure what happened :(

Always the same, not sure why we keep going. Food is cold, waiting for food is long. Two families were served before ours and we got there way ahead of time. One of our orders was forgotten. Kept having to ask for refills. Biscuits were forgotten, and lastly my husband ordered shrimp. The shrimp was not only burnt and hard as a rock but he had a HAIR in his food. Very disappointed!!
