Timberloft has a nice theme of woodland nature that is not expressed in the distasteful way most restaurants seem to express their themes. The restaurant has an outdoor patio, a large dinning area, a lounge area with bar, and a room for scheduled events. The lounge and event rooms double as over flow when appropriate. The food is often hit and miss between the offerings, however most dishes are prepared with very good consistency with only small differences between lunch and dinner occasionally, do to rotating staff for shift change. Customer service has historically not been a concern of high management and ownership. Off the menu items are strongly discouraged, by ownership. Table selection restrictions have relaxed and you may request a particular server. In spite or the anti-consumer culture, service remains very good in my opinion. The price is somewhat high, but the cost is the experience. Also it is quite possible to not over-spend by picking the less expensive menu items available. However, average food quality suggests you might be happier not getting the take-out unless you know the dish well. It is the best dinning experience with-in 20 miles. The cost is offset by the travel distance to its competitors, by price alone. Thats not including the inconvenience of travel. Personally, I travel the extra distance for the food quality and customer oriented business. Though admittedly the service in other places is often much worse and inconsistent. The atmosphere in franchises are usually bad and there is no consistency in dishes from one day the next. Franchises, also, seem to be run much worse in this area than in the much of the Northeast. But the choice is yours. Hope that was helpful.

Everyone says this is the best place to eat at in Smith County? Even TripAdvisor?? Really? Maybe it is?!? Im sure its because there isnt much else! I wasnt thrilled with the the taste of the BBQ, def did not like the slaw and the rolls left little to be desired--straight up from Sams Club or IWC. Gross! Learn how to make fresh rolls for crying out loud! That makes the meal!!! Thank goodness they had a good drink special! The regular margarita on the rocks was very good. Probably the only reason I would go back-and just have a side salad for my meal. Way overpriced on certain items for what they actually were, but I did enjoy the atmosphere. Ive sat in the bar area both times Ive gone and its been very laid back. I need to go and sit in the general dining area to see if I still feel the same I guess. I still will convince my husb. to make the drive to Cookeville or Lebanon when we decide to go out to eat-and Timberloft is 5min away from my house! Way better food for a way better price. And btw I normally can find something I like at a restaurant and generally do not make bad ratings of places. This place can serve much better tasting food, seems like they are going the cheap way out on food quality. Trust me....I cook from scratch everyday at home!

I am always on the look out for a local business/restaraunt (not a chain or franchise) to make my new fave. I found this here ,at The Timberloft. Recently, while out of town guest were visiting ,we called at the last minute and asked them to take 10 people. Being Friday night I wasnt sure if they would/could, they were wonderful, said they would be happy to have us. They were ready for us and seated us right away. All the food came out at same time and was fresh and hot. Out of 10 people there was not one complaint .The steaks and ribs were Great. Service was top notch. And the creme brule was wonderful. Thank you Timberloft for such a wonderful meal, for all our guest. You are my new local Fave !

I love Timberloft! My husband and I go there on occassional weekend nights when we want to have a couple of drinks and relax. The lounge is great and I can request any drink and they accomodate even if they havent made it before. We can also take the kids and dine in the dining area. .The sandwhiches are awesome and they have the best potato salad Ive ever eaten next to my x mother in laws whos cant be topped in my book so to rank up there with hers is saying alot for me. I didnt know that they give the military discount, thats awesome and attracts me even more. The waitresses and waiters are all friendly. Overall great place and great food!

I had the two-meat platter, with ribs and brisket. The brisket was very tasty, but a little too fatty even for brisket. There wasnt much of it either, maybe three ounces (?). The ribs were supposed to be "St. Louis" style but were basically baby-backs. Dry rubbed and tasty, but not off the charts. The sides were quite good, though they charge extra for some of them. The desserts were definitely homemade but expensive ($5-$7 for medium-size cake slices). The service was terrific! Overall, a decent meal, but not one that I would seek out.

We recently visited The Timberloft upon the suggestion of friends that live in TN. The food was absolutely amazing! There is a wide variety of items to choose from and nicely priced. We had the smoked ribs and ribeye steak. If you like a margarita with your dinner, you will not be disappointed, there are several flavors to choose from. The service was excellent, very attentive staff and owners. If you live in TN or just happen to be visiting, make sure you stop at the Timberloft! You will not be disappointed!!

The food is very good, but the staff have never been that great when Ive been there. Theyre for the most part friendly but not very attentive. I also went in to pick up a to-go order recently, and I had at least five members of the staff look at me standing there waiting at the counter for someone to take my money for the order. No one greeted me (though I know plenty of them saw me) or came over to the counter for at least 15 min. Not to mention, the place was not busy at the moment either.

Thanks to our hosts at The Tuscany Inn Tennessee, we tried this amazing restaurant for dinner. We were blown away by the flavor of the meat (pulled pork, brisket, ribs) and the deliciousness of the sides (Mac and cheese, wow, salad, cole slaw, and deep-fried corn). To top off our experience we were served by a very friendly, informative, and professional waiter, Matt. If youre visiting the area this restaurant is a MUST! And dont forget to ask for Matt.

Easily the best BBQ Ive ever had. My mom and I stopped here on a road trip from Chicago and we couldnt have been more impressed. The nachos and combo platter were amazing. Then we ordered their fudge Carmel pie and enjoyed it so much, we order and entire pie to go. Timberloft is a MUST try! Our server Matt was incredibly nice and attentive. Definitely sit in his section. You wont be disappointed.
