El Molcajeta just blew my mind. I cannot believe my luck, finding great Mexican food in the small town I now call home. When my wife and I moved from Chicago to MN we tried many joints in the western Suburbs and hated them all. Then we moved to Delano and found a gem we hope will flourish for a long time. Real Hispanics were running the place, which is always a good sign. There wasnt some MN scandahoovian lady greeting you with a horribly accented Hola (stick to the lefse and meatballs folks). No these guys know what theyre doing in the kitchen. My enchiladas verdes were delicioso and were accompanied by a nice helping of rice and beans. My wife tried the carnitas tacos and seemed to enjoy them very much. The tacos and the enchiladas were both topped to please the MN palate with iceburg lettuce, but we are sure they have cilantro and onion back in that kitchen and next time we will ask if they would use them to top the tacos. They also had horchata and that made my night. This lightly spiced rice-milk drink has been a favorite of mine since my college days of two am burrito binges. So folks if you live in the area or are visiting give El Molcajeta a try. You wont be disappointed and youll be supporting a small local joint (thats always a good thing).

The waiter who seated us, handed me a menu with Salsa all over it. I gave it back to him and I will take a different one please. He didnt say oh, Im sorry ...just took it back. Came back later and asked if we were ready to order. I told him I didnt have a menu. We asked for waters and ordered drinks but we didnt get waters. We were handed off to another waiter who was excellent. I had a seafood Chimi that was soggy, not crispy on the edges like it should. It was filled with fake seafood and canned scallops. Disappointing. El Rodro does it so much better in Maple Grove. Our table was not wiped off and so it felt slimy. I hate that.

Fabulous experience time and time again. Wonderful, kind, very patient staff and delicious food you can taste the authenticity and love in. You can also enjoy the beautiful traditional Hispanic paintings and rich colors all along the walls while dining. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area.

It doesnt look like much on the inside, but its nicely decorated with a great Mexican theme on the inside. Prices are reasonable, the drink sizes are HUGE, and the food is delicious. Service has always been great each time I go there.

Brought three teenage baseball players here after a double header. Lots of food, excellence taste and quality, and a very pleasant server, who also has a great sense of humor. Definitely coming back next time we have a game out here.

Good service. EXCELLENT FOOD & DRINKS!!!! Looks a little shabby outside but much better inside. Crowded on a Wednesday evening but got right in. LOUD because of the place being packed. I certainly will be going back.

I much prefer this location over the one in Buffalo, MN. Gets pretty busy and I dont know if it because of their location or what, but seating always seems cramped and like you are bumping elbows with other patrons.
