Weve eaten here a number of times. Last night, unfortunately it was not such a pleasant visit. First, I drink water. I dont order pop or tea. When you order water, ask for a pitcher as you may never get another refill. We sat outside. Ordered chicken parmesan - to share. I asked when I ordered that we receive additional sauce. We always do because they will only give you a tablespoon of the stuff on the dish. Not sure why, maybe its a high fashion thing. The food was delivered absent the sauce by someone other than our waiter. We had a difficult time explaining to him that we had ordered extra sauce. Not surprisingly, he spoke Spanish. And, not surprisingly, our food had very, very little sauce on it. We started eating. The guy finally brought the sauce - a small cup with maybe two tablespoons of sauce in it. We used it and waited for our waiter. I drank my water and we sat and sat and sat. When he finally showed up, he asked if I wanted him to sack up what I hadnt eaten, which was 80% of my plate. I said no, I ran out of water long ago and am unable to eat without water. My date gave up on eating her meal as well as it was cold and no sauce was delivered. The manager came to the table and said that we would not have to pay but could he give us a gift certificate. My date said that would be nice as she enjoyed the cheesecake. He left never to return so we got up and left. Hard to believe service could be so bad. I think well stick to Biaggis. By the way, the Bocci ball thing they have going on... I saw some kid, maybe 8 or 9 bounce one of those balls off some ladys leg who was sitting by the game area. Not a good idea to allow kids in there throwing those things. His dad ended up buying her meal.

The food was great. Drinks were excellent but service needs major improvement. My husband and I went to Bravo for our anniversary dinner. I like spicy food so I asked for a recommendation for something spicy. The server recommended a dish that came in chicken or shrimp. He had recommended the shrimp. When ordering I said I will take your recommendation but no shrimp for me, I would like the chicken. When meal was received of course I was given shrimp. After waiting 5 minutes for him to come to the table I pointed this out. Of course I had not touched the food. He seemed irritated and said oh the kitchen must have messed this up. My husband then did not want to eat until I got my food. After 15 minutes of waiting my husband went ahead and ate his food. 20 minutes later I received the food I ordered with no apology. The food was very good but it was not ideal that my husband and I did not get to eat our anniversary dinner together. Not to mention we missed the movie we had planned to see. The server then proceeds to offer me one of the small size $3 desserts because my meal “came out a little bit behind my husbands”. I said no thank you as I was very offended that was how this was handled. A simple I am sorry was all I needed and I never received. We spent almost $100 on dinner and drinks and I was offered a free $3 dessert and no apology. No thanks! Next time we will go somewhere with better service.

We had the Worst Service at Bravo! Cucina on Friday night. Once we were seated the server asked if we wanted a drink so we asked for water while we looked at the drink menu. She never offered the specials; we had to ask her for the menu with the specials. She came back about 20 minutes later and took our drink order and we asked again for water. Much later she came back with water and bread and said she would be back with our drinks. When she came back she brought out the wrong drink, but my husband drank it without fuss. We ordered salads with our dinner. The dinner arrived before our salads, so we had to send it back. The manager came out and apologized. You would think at this point we would receive better service. The server never offered to refill our water glasses. We ordered desserts and asked her for water, but she took her time bringing new glasses of water (when all the other servers were using a water pitcher to refill glasses). There is much more to this review but I did not want to make it too length. Unfortunately my husband math skills left him and ended up tipping more than 20 percent—I told him that only encouraged her continue to give poor customer! On a good note, the manager gave my husband a free drink and we cant complain about the food because it was delicious.

For the prices of the restaurant, the service was atrocious. The server was polite enough, but was either a total flake or just didnt care about providing service. All of our drinks had to be asked for numerous times--and I even had to ask four times for a tea bag to go with my hot tea, asked multiple times for another friends diet coke, an incredibly long wait for a beer--and drinks were never refilled once. My dish was to be prepared without spinach, and of course, had spinach on it. Sent it back, and the dish came after my friends all finished their meals, so I had to awkwardly eat while they were all done. It was also drowning in sauce--my bowl, after all the pasta was gone, looked like it was a soup bowl, there was so much sauce in the bowl. It also seemed like too much to ask for us to have individual checks, even though it was just a party of four. I will never be going to this location again. There are much better places to spend $20 a meal in West Des Moines. Take my advice--spend your money somewhere else.

We recently made a reservation for a party of 8 and requested a round table (its easier for the grandparents to see everyone as well as hear the conversation). We arrived a little early and no round tables were available. The hostess checked the reservation list. Our reservation was listed at the correct time with the round table specified. Okay - so no round tables were available. I can roll with the punches. But the manager, Chereese, had quite an attitude. No apology was offered. She flipped her hair and uttered in a nasty voice "all of our tables are on a first come first serve basis". We smiled but were disappointed. Eventually a couple of tables were pushed together and we were seated. And every time Chereese walked by our table she turned her head in the opposite direction. She made it very clear she did not appreciate our business. This is sad because we were celebrating my mothers recovery from breast cancer and this put a damper on our day.

My friends and I used to come here quite a bit but the last time we came, I was really disappointed. First, the service was terrible. After waiting for about 25 minutes and not having a single server come to our table, we told them.. they said they knew and then they proceeded to argue over who was going to take our table.. in front of us! Once a server finally came to our table we ordered the $2.95 appetizers and told him we brought our own wine. He informed us that they now had a $10 uncorking fee... which wouldnt be worth it. The food was okay but after the service we received, I dont know if I would come back here.
