I love the food here. Great authentic Italian food at its best. Dont try to use them for catering though unless youre paying cash. First, they cant take a credit card over the phone. Or I should say, they choose not to accept credit card payments over the phone. Which is a huge inconvenience when youre trying to order food for a large group of people at work. Second, when you get there to pick-up the order, they cant (wont) type in a credit card number, apparently because theyre worried about the extra $1.50 theyll have to pay their credit card processor to key in an order versus swiping the card. Its very, very inconvenient and frankly makes their business look like its stuck in 1995. Its the 20-teens folks, step up your biz operations game.

No air conditioning? It was over 100 today w/ heat index. Just wanted to eat indoors but nothing but fans running. Skipped the probably 3 or 4 beers we would have had to get the hell out of there..too hot! Close at 9 yet at 8:10, were out of all the staple items. Not the first time. No caprese salads, no lasagna, one stromboli,no sausages. If you want to run your inventory down close earlier. We should have left. Food is good but make sure you go 3 hours before posted closing hours. Asked one of the owners when we took our now to-go order "how is it you say youre open til 9 but there is very little available? He shrugged and said "ran out of ingredients...sorry!" Disappointing.

I happened across this little surprise a couple of weeks ago...and I couldnt agree more with the other reviews. The foods are amazing, fresh, home made, and the price is reasonable!! I wanted to take everything home to share this feast. I even discovered my mother lost spaghetti sauce recipe through them, because theirs tasted exactly like hers. They were kind enough to tell me what they put in their sauce. Two weeks later my mom and I found her old recipe on a tiny piece of paper...and sure enough the recipes are the same. How fun!! And good eating!! Thanks ITALIAN DELIGHT you are definately a delight. I will be back and bring my family.

The very best Stramboli to be found. John & James are the owners of this family business. My favorite is the StrambolI, chicken alfredo, steamed broccoli. Most every one is after their health salad. Pizza is not to be ignored. Love to watch John toss the dough in the air, spin it and up it goes again. Whoops forgot to mention the taramzu. Chocolate cake and of course cheese cakes. A wonderful almost hidden place in Mission KS on Martway. Across from Hy Vee. Check out their menu, you will be happy with the prices. A fabulous hidden restaurant in Mission KS on Martway.

Ive been coming to this place for over 10 years now, back when it was a 1/4 of the size it is now. The owners treat you like family and they have the best Italian food around town. Although it keeps getting busier and the lines are a lot longer to stand in, its so worth it. Show up early on the weekends! To the person below complaining about a server not cutting your pizza into smaller pieces... come on now lets not be lazy.. its a pizza it comes in a triangle if you want it in another way do it yourself or ask ahead of time..? 10/10 this place is seriously the best!!

Really amazing, fast Italian food. We were able to get drinks, ravioli, garlic bread, garlic cheese bread, sausage rolls, and calzone for under $25. And it definitely tasted way better than the price point! The sausage is the perfect level of spicy and the sautéed onions added great flavor. The calzone was golden brown and had flavorful ricotta, ham, and spinach inside. The ravioli tasted fresh and was very satisfying. The sauce could be better, but Im not complaining! I want to come back and try the antipasto, it looks great and huge!

My favorite KC pizza restaurant ... they do other Italian dishes just fine but I have a hard time not ordering the pizza. There are no gimmicks here ... for example I like spin pizza and all the unique pizzas they offer but I appreciate this place for setting a standard for normal "new york" style pizza in this area and this is the place I compare all other pizza places too ... just a great restaurant with great service. If/when I move away, this restaurant will be greatly missed.

Jimmy Guns introduced me to Italian Delight a few years back. Even though we work in downtown KC, we try to make the long commute out to Shawnee as frequently as possible. Everything is primo and the service has always been fast and friendly. Pooch, Pooh and Sweaty all say its great as well. Our only complaint is that they need longer napkins to keep the sghetti splatters off Jimmys white shirts.

This place is awesome!! The food is handmade to order, by the owner, how many other places can say that?! I had the stromboli which hit the spot. It was just the right size (which is big) and was very reasonably priced. Even though things are made fresh, it only took 15 minutes or so from the time I ordered to get my food. I will definitely be coming back when Im in the KC area.

This is the real deal - a long steam table of the tastiest home-cooked food this side of Italy. Hand-tossed pizzas are amazing, too, but its really hard not to order one of everything on the menu - its all THAT good! If you happen to visit on a Wednesday during the lunch hour, ask if the fresh spinach pizza is available - thats a little taste of Heaven.

No pretension here- this cafeteria-style restaurant is cheap and fast, but very tasty. Always a good choice for lunch or casual dinner, the menu is packed with just about every variety of Italian fare known to Americans. And if you like Ducati motorcycle racing, the walls are full of memorabilia of the owners history.

Great food, love it but waited 25 min for a single slice of pepperoni because they forgot my order then after I got my slice I asked if it could be cut into smaller pieces for my daughter and the server refused saying "we are really backed up we were barely able to bring that out, but I can bring you a knife"

Horrible customer service and not nice people today I spoke with partial owner John G? who as I told him about my bad customer service experience. He told me he didnt care and proceeded on with a bunch of swears.. I cant recommend this place if you run into this person or some of the employees :(

Bad online service and customer service. We have never had an issue until today. I went online to order lunch for a few friends and I and were told that we couldnt order the "MONDAY SPECIAL" with the options that were provided for us online. They made it seem like it was out fault.

I love this place! Great menu choices, sausage rolls are out of this world good, great meatballs, incredible salad choices and a really fun staff. For just lunch or a evening meal with the family, this a great destination and very family friendly prices too!

Its sad. I have ate here at least 20 times but the last 3 times I have stopped here there has been no air conditioning. I guess I will stop by only in the winter. BTW the food is amazing but 90 degree temperatures and fans blowing dust and dirt do not help.
