I hate leaving bad reviews for anything, genuinely. Im aware people work at these places and thus they rely on good word of mouth for their livelihood. So it is with a heavy heart that I say this is probably the worst food experience Ive had in the 4 years Ive lived in KC. On the other hand, people use social media now to make informed decisions on where to eat, and spend their well earned cash, so I feel its equally important to let my fellow Google users aware of the quality of dining here. Very important disclaimer though - I found the server to be great, quick with refills, offered more bread, polite and helpful with parking validation. Because of that I tipped the required amount (just over 15%). The food deserved nil though. My capellini pasta had almost no flavor, the tomato sauce it claimed to contain was just a large amount of small cherry tomatoes interspersed in a watery tasteless pasta. Pasta was cooked fine, but honestly, it literally tasted like a bowl of plain pasta. This is not worth 19 dollars. The shrimps were large, cooked well but also devoid of any flavor. The calamari starter was overly breaded, although cooked the correct time to generally avoid a rubbery texture. Taste though was bland. It came with a plain tasting marinara dip and a butter dip, that also tasted of almost nothing. My wifes chicken marsala was a massive portion, but the risotto which it came with was a bright yellow gloop, which looked like runny scrambled eggs. It also only tasted of stock cubes, almost pure salt. At first I asked how the polenta was after seeing this bright yellow concoction (which was also a menu option), but nope this looked like runny polenta but was indeed almost pure salt tasting disguised risotto. About 5 mins in to eating this she went to the bathroom with an almost immediate upset stomach, so make of that what you will. In conclusion, absolutely dreadful food, good service and massively, hugely overpriced for the quality of food you receive. It was borderline inedible.

We went here thinking that this was an elegant restaurant. We were extremely disappointed, for many reasons. The first reason is, we made our reservation for 4 p.m, so it was daylight when we were there and the floor was like a cheap patio floor, it was poorly decorated, and not very clean. So needless to say it wasnt a very nice setting. The second reason is the fact that there were only about 20 items listed on the menu, thats including soups, salads, appetizers, drinks, and entrees. The food was absolutely horrible, especially for the ridiculous prices. Not to mention, the server only filled our drinks when we were ready for our check. The parking situation is also a hassle, you have to park about three quarters of a mile away. We usually dont write reviews on restaurants, because we think everyones experience is different and we dont want to scare people away, when they might enjoy a restaurant. However with that said, the only reason I wrote this one is to warn people not to waste your time and money. To be honest Olive Garden is head and shoulders above this place by far, and it costs way less. If you want to eat at an upscale Italian restaurant with a nice setting and good food, this is not the place for you. So please go somewhere else. However,if you want to have a glass of wine or a business meeting that doesnt require eating this place will suffice.

The food here was alright, but the service I had when I ate there will keep me from going back. My companion had 1.5 hours for lunch and he had to leave money for his check with me because the waitress would not make herself present so we could get our checks and pay. Noone bothered to fill our water glasses, ask us how we were doing, etc. The appetizer was brought out with out entrees, even though we ordered it before we ordered the entrees. I noticed a similar situation with other diners, one would have to leave money with another when they had to go back to a conference or work. When I did finally get the check she would not return and pick it up so I had to leave without getting change. She seemed to be hiding in a back room or something. STAY AWAY! Unless you have 2-3 hours for a lunch break.

The rolls were cold and tough. I expect soft warm rolls at fine dining. You dont get a salad with your meal and if you want one, add 5.00 to 6.00 on top of your meal. I ordered Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo and the chicken tasted frozen and then boiled. The sauce was absolutely bland! I had the server bring me Spaghetti with meatballs. This was as sub par as the Fettuccine! If I wanted spicy food that seemed to increase in heat with every bite, I would have ordered salsa. The marinara part was absolutely dreadful. Our server was gracious and even brought a complimentary dessert. I didnt know tiaramusu had a banana flavor, interesting to say the least. I honestly think its back to the drawing board for recipes here.

The service was prompt but questionable. The buffet was mediocre and the chicken alfredo was ok but there were spoiled grape tomatoes in the salmon entree. Our server brought us the wrong check and did not return my credit card which she insisted she did. Eventually another waiter came out with it saying he found it on the kitchen floor. Last year a waiter in a South Carolina restaurant stole my credit card number so after such a long time they had my card last night I went through the inconvenience of cancelling it through my bank. Im visiting from PA but fortunately I have another card I can use.

As other reviewers said, atmosphere may be nicer than food warrants, and maybe a little stuffy. Also, being located in Crown Center, prices are somewhat high, but I thought the food was quite decent. The Pasta Primavera was fresh and flavorful, and the Tiramisu is quite good. The Roasted Chicken pizza had some unique flavors. Service was quite good and the server was very friendly. Of course, we were there on Memorial Day evening, and business was a little slow, which could account for the decent service compared with other reviews.

Went to Milano on a girls weekend. I ordered the eggplant parmesan, my friend ordered the chicken Alfredo. The Alfredo was absolutely horrible. Inedible, and thats coming from two people who are NOT picky. It was pure salt, thats all you could taste. When we told the waitress, she took it back to the chef and told us "the chef tasted it he said he thought it was fine, no one else who ordered it had any issues today." Really?? It was horrible!!! For 18 dollars a can of spaghetti os would have been better. Just not a good place.

Sooo bad. I paid $23 for 6oz of pork tenderloin and pasta that I make better at home. My gf kept wondering why her lasagna had a weird taste and it was because it had a ton of olive in it, just like the rolls. I can still taste olive. I would have been better off buying a pizza down the st and watching the Royals game instead we got ready and drove to crown center to eat some nasty Italian for $60+. Save your money and go somewhere else

Two plusses: Kai, our server, was very nice snd helpful. The house salad was terrific. Minuses: the risotto had way way too much salt, the bread was not warm, both my husbands pork chop and my steak had large pieces of unedible grizzle. The price was too high, but I guess thats because it was Crown Center. An enjoyable evening out but we could have eaten a lot of great sushi for $120.
