The remodel from the previous dives located here is great. Interesting and nice decor. The staff is friendly. The food surprised me. Quite tasty. Hand made burger patties. The double cheese burger with pepper jack and a side of tater-tots was $8.25. The brisket poutine is also super tasty. The burger was one of the best I have had in quite awhile. A few local craft beers on tap as well as a few larger names in the cooler. Week night specials and a kitchen that is open after midnight. Its also a two minute drive from Confluence Brewing and maybe four minutes to Court Avenue downtown.

Great food, fun decor and great drink selection! I ordered the fish and chips and my parents ordered the balsamic chicken sandwich and the mushroom merlot burger. We all thought the food was excellent and the service was top notch! My one thing is that I found the tarter sauce to be on the sweet side, but honestly thats not worth losing a star over. Especially since I really enjoyed the fish, fries and coleslaw, and I dont tend to like coleslaw at all! Great place, cant wait to go again. Especially on $10 burger and pint beer night. I cant wait to try their tenderloin as well!

The decor was the best part of the angry goldfish. The lighting was horrible and when they turned on the dishwasher the horrible Ilighting even became dimmer. The wait staff was slow and not overly friendly. We ordered something on the menu and they were out but instead of asking us what we would like instead they just brought us what they thought we would like. The hamburgers are nothing special just two small patties that tasted like they were cooked on top of the stove,. I do not recommend making a special trip to go here

Stopped in the other night for a few drinks. Atmosphere was great, drinks were good, and I plan on coming back for the food soon. The bar tender mentioned their pork tenderloin is better than nicks so I must come back a find out. Once I do Ill update this review. He also mentioned they were there to stay since this address has been home to many bars. Made it back for the food and t was great. So nice to have a meaty tenderloin and not flattened so much. Service and food on point

Great lil spot! Small menu which is perfect for the type of place it is. Sure maybe they cud add another Burger or two and an appetizer or two. But for what they have now and how theyre doing it I wouldnt be in a hurry to do so unless THEY want to. We WILL be back! OBTW, Great service and knowledge of the menu by Our server! Congratulations on coming up with a neat place with a great Vibe to those who Own and Operate!!!!!

Relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, exquisite decor, door handles under the bar make creative purse/coat hooks, outlets on the bar a plus, light fixtures are so neat--old liquor bottles!! Food is delicious, especially the tater tots!!!! Employees are friendly, attentive, and always have great suggestions! Definitely should come to the Southside for a visit! Try the Drunken Donut bomb, you wont regret it!

Wow: I am a south sider born and raised. This is a great littler find in the Lincoln neighborhood. Great food and yes great service. Yes I know I am talking about Des Moines but they have great service here. OH yes and the special drinks they have a re great. I tasted my wifes margarita with jalapeno and it was awesome. Burgers are great. Im going back soon.

This place was great! Decor is a nice surprise compared to what you might expect from the outside or the area. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Food was the best part! Dont miss the poutine. The pretzel sticks with the mac and cheese were fantastic. And the pineapple burger with garlic truffle fries was amazing. Cant wait to go back!

The decor of the place is absolutely amazing. The staff are friendly (if a little harried). The food is excellent (limited menu right now because they just opened) and service was fantastic. The Old Fashioned I ordered was made right (a rarity, believe me) and they have a pretty decent selection of beer. Its definitely a solid Southside pub!

Dont let the exterior turn you away. The only issue this place has is that it needs more parking. The staff is super attentive and awesome. Food is perfect. Had the fish and chips and it was so good. Loved the logo and interior so much I had to own the T-shirt! Definitely make it in. Cant say enough about the place!

Nice small restaurant/bar. The Pork Mac and Cheese was pretty tasty, but be prepared for it to come in a soupy cheese sauce (which works well for the pretzels that come with it). Its also the only place Ive been to in my 3+ years in Des Moines with Kansas City Ice Water on their drink menu.

food was good but Annas service was sub par. I finished my water and my husband water and when she brought check she asked if I needed water. I wont be going back with waitresses like her no matter how good food is if service is bad makes a huge difference

Awesome atmosphere. Great decor and excellent service. Most importantly the food and drinks were all good. No complaints from our group, other than its very loud. The place could use some sound dampening, but overall it was an excellent experience.

Great place, good food and a lot of craft beers in bottles, the only reason I didnt give them 5 stars is their bathrooms. They are a tiny single toilet. For the size of the bar it should be bigger. Overall nice new interior and I recommend going.

I can not recommend this place enough. Much better than the previous occupants of this space, was leary to enter because of this but very pleasantly surprised. Their infused vodka for bloody marys is the nectar of the gods.

Not just pub or eatery food... Delicious food! Bacon in the Mac n Cheese, and pretzel bread on the side! This place is awesome! Id take a picture of the food but I dug in and ate it all before I could even think about it...

Interior decor looks awesome and service was great. Food came out a little slow, but since it is New the staff might be working the kind out. The brisket sandwich was AWESOME. They also have Grain Belt at the bar.

Great food, great service and super clean! Got the brisket under the advisement of our waiter- did not disappoint. Will definitely be back. Only complaint would be lack of parking.

Nothing wrong with the service at all. The food was outstanding. The Angry Sunset beverage was super refreshing. The brisket was so tender and juicy and full of flavor.
