I had never in my life walked out of a restaurant prior to eating or finishing my meal. Until tonight. I walked in the front entrance, and stood there for about 5 minutes. No employees approached me at all during this time. Several waitresses saw me standing there, but nobody came to seat me. I finally walked into the seating area of the restaurant and got the attention of a server, who then seated me at a nearby table. Several more minutes went by before a server asked for my drink order. I had already filled out the ordering form, so I handed that to her as well. I ordered a water, seaweed salad, and 2 rolls. About 10 more minutes go by before my waitress comes by my table with the water and asks "I lost my paper, did you order a salad?" I confirm that I did indeed order a seaweed salad. I had expected to have the salad by now, not for her to just be putting the order in. Now another 15 - 20 minutes go by and I dont see the waitress once. During this time I am getting angrier and angrier. Finally I see her come around the corner, and she still doesnt have my seaweed salad. She walks right by my table, without saying something like "Sorry for the wait, it will be here soon". Fed up, I say in a raised voice "Excuse me!" She looks around, not sure I am talking to her. Once I have her attention, I said "How long does it take to make a seaweed salad? It has been 30 minutes." She just looked at me with a blank face. I stood up and said "Im leaving". She continued to just stand there without saying a word. By far the worst service I have ever encountered.

Me and my husband were invited by a group of friends to eat here and I have to say the food was amazing but we never get out much and didnt really have the money to begin with. The bill came and was 50$ for two entrees and two drinks plus an 8$ appetizer. We really only had 50 to spend so unfortunately we were only able to leave a dollar tip. It was nothing personal, just didnt want our bank account to go negative. Everyone else in the party tipped 15% or more so the guy made some money. BUT THEN our bank contacts us today and says that our account overdraft due to the 58.-- bill from Naritas! Our waiter had changed the 1.00$ tip to a 9.00$ tip!!!!! Never in my life have I been stolen from like that from a restaurant. When we called to complain the first question the manager asked was why we tipped so low?! Why does it matter? Thats stealing!!! If you use a card to pay here I would write out the tip in word for like "one dollar" instead of writing numbers that can easily be changed after you walk out the front door.

Pros: The sushi is pretty good with a variety of rolls to choose from on the menu. The hibachi is typical. Its not too special, especially for the price you pay. I would suggest going elsewhere or just using their carry-out. Cons: Do not come during the weekend. There is never enough wait staff. We were given our drinks and then sat for at least 15-20 minutes before ordering. The waitress re-appeared to take our order. We sat for almost an hour. We were never given our soup and salad. My husbands entree was brought to the table, and our waitress didnt have a clue she had left us sitting. Sadly, this is not the first time we have had poor service but it will be the last. I have given Narita multiple chances, but I REFUSE to pay their prices with ATROCIOUS service! The amount of money that you pay for consistently poor service is not worth it! If you want to wait, wait, wait for mediocre food, give it a shot!

Exactly what you would expect from next to the airport sushi. You are greeted by a help wanted sign and no host. My sashimi was god awful and came with a glowing ice cube in the middle. My miso soup was overly salty like they used too much paste or not enough dashi. Finally, an agregious error, the soy sauce was cut rate and tasted old, like the first gust of air from an opened attic. The staff (once you find them) is wonderful and polite but the ambience is confusing. The bar has awkward and heavy chairs that would be fit in a lounge, not a bar. Further, the rest of the seating is giant pod-like booths that are so I closed you feel like the only one in the restaurant, and not in a pleasant way. Overall, I give two stars because the server was timely and polite, which makes up for a great many things.

I have followed Allan, Sushi Chef, from his previous Employer to his new restaurant. I couldnt imagine eating sushi anywhere else. He is very talented and expresses his artistic side through his sushi. Simple art. His creation of savory sauces and combination of fresh seafood make all of his rolls desirable. May I recommend the following: Wasabi Tuna, Mahawu Roll and Sota Roll. I live in Zionsville, but work in Avon so Im lucky enough to have lunch once a week but my cousin lives in McCordsville and she makes the drive as often as possible. Some of the reviews commented about slower service...my thought is if its going to be GREAT food, its going to take time because its made fresh to order. You wont get premade sushi/rolls or entrees here!!! Thank you Narita and see you again next week!

Ill begin by saying that the environment was outstanding. Unmatched in appearance as far as the eating area goes. great private seating and lighting. However, at least the chicken fried rice, seems to come from a shake and bake box. When placed side by side its impossible to tell them apart and the quality matches exactly. I paid $10 for a box of shake and bake fried rice... On top of that the server didnt seem to fully understand the language of the customer. English in this instance. Not xenophobic, but if Im asking basic questions about the menu I sort of need to be able to understand the answer. My first clue should have been that the establishment right next door was packed and this place was completely empty.

The sushi is of good not great quality. I always get carry out and for the most part they have always been pretty quick to get me in and out. Tonight was a different story. I ordered at 5pm and was told a half hour wait; a little long for something that doesnt need cooked, but whatever. I get there at almost a half hour after we ended the call. I get told it will be ready in a minute. I dont know what clock they use but 15 minutes later she shows me my total and I give her my card. 5 minutes later she is back with my receipt that shows double what it was supposed to be, and then decided to argue with me. I wont likely be back, its sad too because the sushi was tasty.

Havent been here in awhile. The menu has changed quit a bit. Our server was nice and attentive so Ill give them that. The wait took forever and the food was horrible. I ordered the Mongolian beef and it was more onion than beef. I counted like 6 pieces, six small pieces! Was not even hot! You would think it would be hot since it took forever but nope. The cost was $16! My son and husband ordered the Hawaiian shrimp...my husband was disappointed my son was upset, they said it was eatable. The bathrooms were Horrible! Nasty. If we would have went in there first we would not have stayed. Never coming here again.
