Me & my husband stopped by wanting to try their BBQ on a saturday afternoon. Wasnt too busy but they didnt have a table ready yet. So we sat at the bar to have a drink while we waited for a table. There were two young women behind the bar, they saw we sat down but ignored us. We sat there looking around for about 5 minutes before my husband asked another girl could we get a drink? The girl threw down a couple of bev naps asked us what we wanted an walked away? A couple more minutes went by when someone else came up to us and said our table was ready. Then the one girl comes back and proceeds to make our drinks. We told her we were moving to a table she said she would bring us our drinks. It took her almost 12 minutes from the time we ordered or drinks for her to bring them to us. Then she had the nerve to give me a dirty look for only tipping her a dollar? After 12 minutes of waiting? Our waitress finally came to the table, took our order and went straight to another table and began talking up a storm to these other people. I know she was there for 15 minutes talking before she even turned in our order. (I timed her) I finally hollared over there to her and asked could we at least get our appitizer out? She acted like we were bothering her? Ordered another drink, same senerio, waited again forever, because she was talking away to another table. I finally got up to go to the bar myself. She quickly came running up to me explaining how she was going to get it. I looked at her and told her to forget it, i would get it myself and walked away from her. She knew she had lost her tip by that point. She was rude to us the rest of the time we were there. All & all, the service was horrible. The drinks were weak and the food wasnt very good at all. We left very disappointed. No manager came around the whole time to check on anybody. The place looked more like a barn, not very clean. I have been a server both in fine dinning and casual dinning for over 20 years now and i cant help but be very observant of things. This place by far is has all of the worst things going for them. Bad, bad service, mismamagement, uncleanlyness. Now i know why their not busy on a saturday! We deffenatly wont be back!

Living in Mooresville, I should be biased in favor of the place and although the food can be great, Ill tell you about whats bad about Squealers. Their St Louis ribs are the best Ive ever had, but 20% of the time, youll get some that are overcooked. The service quality is patchy. They are friendly, but many are young and uninterested in learning the trade. Sadly, when its quieter, the service is worse (probably because the manager isnt there). When its busy, its really busy and the service can be slow. Overall, Squealers is my favorite barbecue place, simply because of the great food. Having tried every rib place within 40 miles, I feel lucky to live near the best. If the management invested in better staff, it would be perfect.

Really good food. Best ribs! The place gets busy as heck & they dont do great keeping up with the mess of the masses. The floors were gross last time I was there & junk stuck to my booth seat. Worse cocktails ever! I was served a Strawberry Daiquiri made with vodka, I kid you not! Waitress brought another, couldnt even tell what they used in it. Disgusting. Didnt drink cocktails. No comp on tab. NOTE: THIS PLACE IS HUSTLING & BUSTLING & GETS LOUD! Take the kids! Theyll love it & you wont feel pressured to keep them still & quiet. Clean up better between customers & get a barkeep who can mix drinks for your 5stars.

I dont want to sound super negative because the servers were great and the pulled pork was good. I did not have a bad experience there but it could be better. I do think the barbecue was good but not award winning, I would eat there again but not my favorite BBQ. The sides need some work. The slaw was kinda like store bought and slimy but maybe that is what they were going for. That was kind of the theme for all the side dishes. I was with a big party so i got to see a variety of sides. I would recommend you try it out for yourself, It not super expensive and at least the pulled pork is good.

I want to like this place because it is 3 miles from my house, but i cant. The portions keep getting smaller and the price goes up. I havent been there in over 2 years because of that. They also would not sell food by the pound to eat in the restaurant. Some times i want jut meat and no sides but not here. I found this out the hard way, after ordering everyone else food came but i was told mine was "to go". When i got home I weighed the box because it didnt look like pound of meat. Even with the styrofoam box and napkins, it was only 14oz. That was my last visit.

Its a great place to meet family and friends when you get together on a beautiful day when its time to eat,I had them for the first time about 4 years ago my sister in law suggested that we eat there after meeting at the cemetery to pay our respects to my late wife and her sister, and now a group of us meet at the cemetery and then we come and eat at Squealers love it so you all are part of the tradition in my life thank you

If your looking for real smoked BBQ, this definitely isnt the place!! No smoke flavor at all the rib meat was tough and tasted like it had been steamed or boiled!! They mightve done BBQ right in 97,98,99&2000 but mustve sacrificed the good to become more commercialized! Id much rather have smokin jacks rib shack in Bloomington Indiana any day and for less money too!! I was extremely disappointed!!

Decent place. Sometimes it takes forever to get our food, but that might be because my husband orders the biggest, 1 pound, handcrafted, double burger with onion strings, cheese and BBQ sauce. This burger is so massive, the staff and other patrons just stare at it in awe as it passes from the kitchen to our table. And yes, he eats every bite, with fries and sometimes finishes my food.

Tried this placed based on reviews. I was highly disappointed. First, the price is a little high. We ordered to go and they didnt give us utensils or napkins. Their pulled pork was dry and had a salty flavor. I tried dowsing it in bbq sauce but even that couldnt save it. The coleslaw had a nasty after taste. I rarely ever write reviews but I felt compelled to with this experience.

I reserve five stars for only the best, and this place truly deserves five stars. Their BBQ is some of the best I have had, great enough to rival Kansas City. I had the BBQ Nachos, bring a hearty appetite and an empty stomach. Others in my party had the Thursday special which was superb. If you love onion rings, this is the place. Their service was exceptional.
