I have been going to King Buffet for years now. In Muncie, you really only have two choices for “Asian Buffet” style food. You have Yummy Buffet (Formally Teppanyaki Grill) and you have King Buffet. Despite the fact that they are fairly equal in price, and despite the fact that Yummy is larger with a larger selection, King Buffet has always hit the spot better than Yummy has. I personally only ever go for lunch, which is true for me of all Asian Buffets, as I don’t feel the dinner prices are worth it (at any of them). So the food is usually hot and relatively fresh. It always seems to me like the food is a bit fresher, a bit better cooked, and slightly better seasoned at King Buffet than it is at Yummy. When I eat at Yummy, it never feel like I had a good meal, whereas I do at King. I don’t know if it’s something about the setting, or the food, or the people, but I prefer King Buffet and while I live in this town I always will.

If you enjoy the basic foods found at every Chinese Buffet then i would not recommend kings at all. They have a lot of options but with the basics they just completely miss the spot. I would have rather tried the other one in the area with much higher reviews but a local told us that it wasnt good who said this one was better so we gave it a try. Food wise for the basics of every Chinese buffet the food just wasnt on level with other places. Maybe the other foods would have been better. But i really enjoy the basics and i didnt like them here! Service was pretty good, Price was right at line with the other places, Good amount of different foods and the grill but if you mess up on the basics of every Chinese buffet thats bad. They did have a special the day we went so that was nice but i would not return again.

Im very picky about my chinese food thought it says mongolian food in the back( its not) I came here at random and was greatly impressed. The only bad thing about this place they dont give napkins out like water. Anyway, oh my god the food is soo good and everything is fresh like people brought it from their home to give to you to eat... So naturally after the first plate my dad passed out and seconds were hard to get cuz we were all full and wanted room for desert love this place I want to go now service was good too. Oh p.s dont order the sweet tea Im from the south and thats not sweet tea

Having eaten here many many times I have noticed the quality of the food and service declining over the past couple of years. Today however was absolutely the worst meal that I have ever paid for in my life. If it wouldnt have been the hassle of the language barrier I wouldnt have paid. Never again will I be back in here. If Im not poisoned.

Worse place ever over charged for kids bye .80 per year food over cooked and cools good the owner argued over me wanting a receipt that showed what each diner and drink cost and bye the way it was 40.93 For two adults 3grandchildren under the age of 8yrs they say they only charge for over 10 yrs old very shady place

The food is always fresh, and it is delicious. Yummy buffet does not compare: one other reviewer also said this, but there are little things about King Buffet that make it more satisfying. Yummy has a better selection of desserts, but even with that, King Buffet is the best Chinese in Muncie.

No doubt, one of the best chinese buffet. I can not believe how they can make profit providing such a variety of foods at the price just above $10. While I was staying in that area for 3 days, I had go there every evening. Staffs are also very friendly.

Slightly better than the typical Chinese buffet restaurant. Selection of meat dishes is pretty large, but not as many vegetable options as Id like. Has some sushi and a mongolian grill for custom cooked items. Real ice cream for dessert, not soft serve.

I love this place!! It is a little high priced but for what you get it is so worth it!! What is really nice is that they have coupons that come in the mail all the time. This is definitely the best Chinese restaurant in Muncie!!

Tasty seafood and sushi, plus good soup. Kings is my go to spot for a quick tasty lunch where I still get to eat on a plate with silverware. I have to watch my self control to avoid eating too much, because it is all tasty

Theres always a wide variety of good quality food. Their friendly staff keep the buffet really fresh, and my friend and I now eat lunch here every week. You cant find a better buffet for the price in Muncie!
