My wife and I havent had the best of luck with Chinese restaurants where you can order by number. Therefore, we were initially reluctant about trying King Dragon based on past experience. We mustered up enough enthusiasm since it was a new experience for us and we were looking for a new Chinese restaurant in the Broad Ripple area. We should have stuck with our initial thought. We proceeded to order and it was explained to us that we could choose from a free soda or egg roll since we ordered more than $15 in food for dinner. We elected to go with the soda which was a great choice considering what proceeded to happen next. My wife opened her can of Coke and proceeded to take a drink. The expression on her face was priceless after her first sip. She had me take a drink to confirm that the soda was bad. It tasted like weak flavored carbonated water with a horrible after taste. She explained to the girl behind the counter that the Coke was bad and would like to replace the soda. The girl needed to consult her father, cooking in the back, if it would be okay to replace the drink. He proceeded to look at the expiration date on the bottom of the can and tell us that expiration date was March 2013 so the soda should be fine. We attempted to explain the soda was bad and we would like to replace the soda with another soda. We kept getting the same response, "the expiration date is March 2013, the Coke is good". The gentleman refused to replace the Coke so thankfully we elected the free soda when choosing between the egg roll and soda earlier. I understand that it is just a soda, however, it was fact that the customer service was nonexistent. I also had the unfortunate experience of have a gnat on my plate of food. I will go under the assumption that the bug landed on my plate while I wasnt looking and wasnt in the food the whole time due to the fact that there were several bugs flying around the restaurant. The food was average at best and there are many other Chinese restaurants with better flavor. As much as I hate to say it, we likely wont be visiting King Dragon again based on our experience. Frankly, that make me a little sad since we love supporting the mom and pop restaurants around town.

This is our go to Chinese takeout place, been going for 5-6 years. Its a little more expensive, but worth it! The fried dumplings are delicious. Our other favorites are the Moo Shu Pork and Singapore Mei Fun (sometimes it is super spicy, but so good!) Their Hot and Sour soup is a perfect cold remedy. Also, their meat is really good, not gross and stringy, they dont have the weird red tipped pork, except in the fried rice. Im never wondering where exactly the meat comes from/how fresh it is. If all you like from Chinese take out is the fried standards like sesame chicken and general tsos you might be able to find a take out place you like better. But I havent found one better than King Dragon.

The food is so nasty and greasy . We took it back after waiting over 30 min just for crab ragoon. The girl who works register and boxes people take out order pulled out the food and didnt want to refund our order put the used food back into someone else take out box and only refuded half our money-- then was extremely rude by telling us to not come back, I hope this place gets shut down with nasty Customer service that she has!!!

it definitely isnt all that great. the General Tso Chicken was ok, ive had better. the pork fried rice was nasty and had an off smell to it from the pork im guessing. the eggroll was the best part of my meal. if you go i would suggest getting a couple appetizers instead of a meal. dunno why the reviews are so good but ive noticed hoosiers eat anything pretty much. im from Atlanta and i know what good food should taste like.

When I ordered my take out the woman was rude and yelling at me. We ate some of our food, and then found PUBIC HAIR in it!!! I guess this is how they take revenge on customers that annoy them. I called to inform them and they decided they couldnt speak English anymore and hung up on me. Dont eat here people, the food isnt very good and its not worth the risk of eat someones crotch hair!

Great Chinese food. You get a lot of food for your money. Theyll tell you your order will be ready in 15 minutes regardless of how long it will actually take. Revising this to a 5* rating. Ordered a secret menu item General Tsos Super Extra Spicy Combo. It was awesome, good amount of heat, great chicken and flavor. Highly recommended.

Northsides go to place for Chinese takeout..General tsos is the 5 star General in chicken..egg rolls sometimes more rock than roll and always have a happy ending with some crab ragoons.the young lady at the register is the best,so be sure to put a buck or two in the slotted pig on the counter, hopefully its for her college fund.

Wanted to eat Chinese take out and we arrived before they open. Owners must have had something going on and opened a little late. They had a sign up stating they would be later than usual. Were discussing in the car when they showed up to open. Worth the short wait. Met nice people and had a good meal.

Excellent food, very good prices, and friendly although broken English service. More than you expect from a local Chinese restaurant. I love the dumplings and the won ton or hot and sour soup... I put the dumplings right in the hot and sour and that can fill me up... but make room for the rest :)

Fried Dumplings. The very best fried dumplings are the reason this is my favorite Chinese restaurant. The portions are huge, the prices are great, and the service is friendly. They offer brown rice as a healthy alternative to the sticky rice and everything is made fresh to order.

The food tastes decent, the results are far from pleasurable. The Chicken Lo Mein, chicken fried rice or crab rangoons (I ate all in one sitting) did a real number on my digestive tract leading to discomfort and many unpleasant trips to the restroom.

Im allergic to pork. They brought out my meal with pork fried rice. Instead of making a new batch, they replated my food with White rice. I found pork chunks down near the bottom. Not how you deal with a food allergy.
