Well since i dont know where to start, i will summarize with saying, this is not a cuban establishment, its a Hondurian restaurant with a chef who helped a cuban cook in miami. Food was not at all seasoned with custom cuban spices. The rice was goya brand box rice. The pork was obviously dry and probably couple hours old. I also asked for a morir soñando they responded with whats that. I asked the server where are they from.. You guessed it Honduras. The cuban coffee expresso was not the real thing either. Its probably bustelo from krogers, thats how off the taste was even worse the auroma was countries away from cuba. My overall experience was not worth my bill. Never the less for whom it may concern read the menu carefully and you will see that there is no media noche in the menu or sabana Blanca.. Two main dishes in the cuban culture. And lastly the cuban sandwich is not made correctly so sais the menu. This place got a 3 out of 10.. 3 is because of the service from the second server i met. This place some how survived for so long. Most likely because no one here has tasted cuban food like i have.

I am Cuban and it is very sad that I have to leave this rating. I went to the restaurant and ordered a ropa vieja and it was not the traditional dish. Very far from it. The yucca was dry. The plantains were decent but that was the only part of the dish that was worth it. My daughter had the Cuban pork. Her dish was also terrible. The pork was very dry. We knew we had made a mistake going there after about 2 bites and left our lunches untouched. A note to the owner. Please work on your food preparation. There is an excellent book called Cuba Cocina that has very good recipes. What we were served was not traditional Cuban food and in all my years of growing up Cuban, and also frequenting the restaurants in Miami, it has never come to this. The food was barely edible. I never leave ratings like this, but feel I must. Please work on your food skills and do not misrepresent our national cuisine in this manner. Please.

Delicious Aroma, 4th time I go and the food is great, Had the Ropa Vieja and a "Beef Empanadas" with the Chefs Hot Sauce (Latin American pastries, filled with meat, cheese or just vegetables), I notice the 3rd time I was there few people were eating dishes that are not on the menu, such as a large shrimp soup that has a pinch of coconut flavor, I asked for a sample and it was delicious I highly recommend it, you can definitely tell who are the regulars at this Cafe but dont be shy to ask for a samples because you may be missing out on a great dish

Me, my husband and our two small children checked this place out today because I qas in the mood to try something different. I was a little skeptical because of the neighborhood but my husband convinced me to try it. And boy I am happy we did! It was very good! We had the beef and chicken empanadas, chicken and rice and the cuban! For dessert we tried the rice pudding and cheese flan! Everything was delicious! The beef empanada was my favorite! Oh and I also had a pineapple soda! Yum!

If you are eating at Havana Cafe, you must try the ox tail. This dish is served with your choice of white or yellow rice (I recommend the yellow), black bean soup, and fried plantains. The meat is extremely tender and falls off of the bone. The pineapple water was great as well. After the meal we had some Cuban espresso which is very strong, but very good. The chef was very friendly and very attentive to the customers. This place is definitely worth the drive!

Bad service horrible cuban sandwich. These people have no clue what cuban food is. Taste like old cheap Cuban food. 1st the ham was no better than the cheapest ham you can get in a deli. 2nd it had pulled pork and not sliced pork, drenched in mojito. 3rd, bread was not even close to real cuban bread. I have had worst Cuban sandwiches but not much worst. Service is not friendly and it is very slow.

In town visiting from south western Indiana... was hoping that a bigger city would have some Cuban spots... I have had some great Cuban food back home in Los Angeles and Louisville. Food was pretty delicious... wish they had Pollo Asado. :( Everything was great. Not the best area of town but... worth the trip. Saludos!

I have always had a good experience until my last visit. I ordered carry out, coffee and dessert and my total was $8.6. I was told that their credit card machine does not accept anything under $10, which is a lie. I ended up canceling dessert and promised myself that I would not take trip there any longer.

Great food, friendly staff, and fair prices. We ordered the ham croquettes, Chicken Imperial, and a pork dish (the name of which currently escapes me, but its #28 on the menu). I will be going back in the very near future to try some of the other delicious-sounding items.

The food was ok, but it took a long time to serve it. The waitress has the worst customer service i have ever seen. She even offended the person I went with with a comment on how you call a to go container. Because of her we are never going back or recommending this place

Got a steak sandwich and empanada, have eaten in Miami at Cuban Cafe and well this one is pretty good, actually for the size of the sandwich a great value. The empanada was very good though.

The food is amazing and authentic. Very much a mom and pop shop in a small stripmall, but it is a quality restaurant. Bring family or a date, and try the "Ropa Vieja" with sweet plantains!
