Everyone loved their food and our waitress was wonderful; however, one waitress, I didnt catch her name, was super rude to my cousin. We were a group of 5 and spent around $10/person on our lunch. On our way out we each took our turns using the restroom before continuing our shopping trip, as I come out of the restroom I see my cousin standing by a table, with nowhere else to stand, digging in her purse to get more money for a cookie, a waitress comes up to her and snaps, "Excuse me, I have people to seat and you need to back away from the table." Really? There were at least 10 other tables, and we were all going to purchase a cookie as we left, but because we inconvenience you for 3 seconds to get more money out well purchase a cookie elsewhere.

My boyfriend & I stopped at the Hob Nob this morning on our way back to Indy from boating & camping at Monroe Lk. WOW! What a pleasant surprise. Nashville in itself is quaint and the Hob Nob is no exception. We had the most amazing breakfast. We ordered the hash with smoked sausage & red peppers...amazing. The bread & pastries are baked in the basement, daily. The whole wheat bread literally had WHOLE grains & seeds and was the perfect tool to get that amazing homemade strawberry preserves into my mouth. They even fresh grind their coffee that is roasted by a local company! Delicious! We will definitely be back for breakfast, lunch or dinner. What a great destination for a Saturday or Sunday drive & meal out.

From the minute you walk into this place you can just feel what it must have been like to live back in the 1800s. This is an old general store that has long since been converted into a restaurant. The detail and old charm of this place will really take you back to the olden days. They even have some of the original patriotic wallpaper (from the 1800s) still hanging above the door. The food is absolutely delicious! No matter what you order it will most certainly be good. Generous portions and very friendly staff. COME EARLY to get a seat or be prepared to wait. If you do have to wait it will certainly be worth it! Ive posted some photos of the menu and, building and food to help.

What a wonderful surprise, a gormet restaruant at reasonable prices in a small Indiana town! The food and service were both great! I had Shrimp Diablo with Linguini and homemade chunky tomato sauce that was fantastic! My wife had succulent Roast Beef with roasted potatoes and carrots! My uncle had Liver and Onions in red wine sauce that was exquisite. My aunt had an excellant Jambalaya. Lastly my cousin had grilled salmon and broccoli that riviled the finest seafood restaruant! To top all this we shared 2 huge homemade Strawberry Shortcakes with a strawberry infused cream chesse filling. The best ever and only $6.50 each. I would drive a long way to eat here!

A bunch of us went as a group to have lunch there. Great food indeed. The location is excellent. Right in the heart of the town. Some vegetarians ordered veggie sandwich. They loved it. Others had omelettes of various kinds. Some had steak sandwich and Rueben as well. Everyone was happy with the food served there. We certainly would go there again when we go that side. We did not get a chance to try out the desserts as we had planned to eat ice cream at the Millers Home Made ice cream shop nearby. If you go to the Brown County State Park, stop by at Nashville for some wonderful time.

Wish I could give it a 2.5 stars. Just o.k. The atmosphere was kind of neat- a step back in time. Kids meals were a decent price for what you got. Adult meals were over-priced for average food. The cheeseburger was small and too thick, which caused it to be overdone. The bun was dry. The Reuben was ok, but should have been about $3 less anywhere else. It was 9.50. For a tastier dining experience, I would recommend Casa deal Sol, either of the Big Woods restaurants, or Trolleys BBQ. Probably wont be back when there are more unique options in town.

The Hobnob is a must on every visit to Nashville. Lunch offerings include (truly) homemade soups and the amazing Pot Roast sandwich. We came for dinner on "Winedown Wednesday" and enjoyed a bottle of wine while listening to live acoustic guitar music. For dinner, I had the duck and my husband had fish. Everything was so fresh and perfectly prepared. For dessert we shared the coffee toffee pie- light and airy with great flavors of toffee and mocha. Practically perfect in every way.....!

Something unexpected. I went in imagining a country mom & pop place, while it is they have a twist. The Chef Eric Cole, son of the current owners. Formally trained and has worked in fine dining establishments from here to California. Has brought fine dining food to Nashville. Let me say the Roasted Duck was to die for. The Hobnob will always be on my list when in town web if its just for a homemade pastry.

Quaint little restaurant that we expected to serve decent food but not the fabulous meal we had! We are vegetarians and it is so unusual to be offered a vegetarian choice as a special of the day. It was asparagus, red pepper, feta cheese grilled and topped on ciabatta bread with a drizzle of a dressing for dipping. It was fantastic. Highly recommend this restaurant when visiting Nashville, IN.

Cute, but kind of a mess. You can tell its a vacation town with limited selection, as they made some interesting decisions. They stop serving breakfast very early, some of their options dont come with a side, and their prices are a bit high. Food had a little bit of uniqueness that was nice, but more a good idea than good execution. An enjoyable experience, that could have been better.

The Hobnob is a great, local restaurant that serves a nice mix of food. Portions are very large and will fill you up. Theyre well known for their Hobnob Onion Soup and I always have a bowl when Im in town. Ive been going to the Hobnob since I was a little kid and although the menu hasnt changed much since then, it is still one of my favorite places to eat in Brown County.

Eggs were smallish, Im used to medium or large eggs. Ham was okay, though I would have preferred smoke on the bone. Coffee tasted like Folgers - weak and watered down and not very flavorful. Bread seems to be locally made and tatted more like soda bread rather than year bread. This is a great restaurant but the eggs breakfast needs work as does the coffee

The food was good when we first got it. I got the pot roast and my boyfriend got the open faced turkey. However... We got sick from it. We ate there around 5pm and are STILL sick. So I doubt the food is as fresh and homemade as they make it seem. Also the service was very awkward. Not what we expected for a small town homey restaurant experience.

So so rude.. I went in there to pick up some carry out for a friend & as soon as I came in the door..A ragaddy dirty haired "lady" at the counter said in a nasty tone of voice "what do you want" if this is how they greet their customers . Never coming back.. I wouldnt send my worst enemy into this restaurant. . Really hurt my feelings
