The sushi here is excellent! I just moved here from Cincinnati, and I am a sushi snob. Ive tried several places in Evansville for sushi, and none were anything to write home about. The sushi is spectacular. Its a hole in the wall joint, but I go eat for the quality of food, and not the appearance of the restaurant. After all, appearances can be deceiving. Rolls range anywhere from $4 to $14, very reasonable prices. Although they dont have a vast amount of rolls, there are plenty to chose from. The spicy tuna is awesome-- with kiwi slices on top. Very good combination. I have been here 3 times now and everytime the sushi has been top notch. Edit: Their Hibachi is terrible. Would only recommend getting sushi. Food went from very good to just good. Would highly recommend to try if you enjoy good sushi.

The best lunch specials of any Sushi place in the tri-state, the portions are small but then again it doesnt break the bank for eating great sushi. The sushi chef chats you up through the whole process and its a joy! I mostly get 4 rolls here because the lunch special is $12.95 for 3 rolls and soup, then I get a specialty roll and today it was Dragons fire and HOLY GOODNESS was it amazing! I will recommend this place if you arw on a budget and a sushi NUT, you get the quality and you will leave stuffed depending if you have a HUGE stomach! Go go go go visit tokyo Japan and you wont be disappointed!

I had the worst experience with them today! I had a coworker go pick up lunch from here and my sushi was awful. It was very warm and tasted terrible. The quality of the fish did not seem right (not fresh). My friend called to complain and get money back, but they refused until we bring the food back in so they can examine it and we explain to them what was wrong. She explained we are back at work and cannot just leave. They refused. In my opinion this is terrible business, and I have eaten here multiple times. I will not be going back.

Best Sushi in town! Hibachi varies from Amazing to ok but the sushi is top notch every day! We eat here at least once a week if possible. I cannot get enough of the Philadelphia roll! The Fried rice is also one of the best things to get. Ive heard several people comment on how good it is and I take home any left over. Mix a little of the Yum Yum into it *drools* This is a must try!

This place is amazing! They were dealing with only 3 on staff and a crazy amount of customers but they remained calm and served the most delicious food I have ever eaten. They just changed their menu and forgot to serve fries with the kids meal we ordered, so they gave us free dessert plus an extra order of fries to go! This will be our date night spot from now on.

Crazy about the yum-yum sauce! While the hibachi isnt the best prepared, the yum-yum puts the team it on its back. Give it a try! Prices are good (esp the hibachi lunches), sushi is better than most, and staff is very friendly. They keep open fairly late all the time and most holidays and I have never had to wait for seating.

This use to be a great place to eat...but it was recently sold and has went down hill fast. The new owner is hateful which is also the waitress. They now water down the yum yum sauce and teriyaki sauce. The tempera batter is not tempera batter more of an onion ring batter. Would not recommend to anyone.

I absolutely love this place. The staff is always as friendly as they can be. The sushi is always prepared incredibly well and the prices cant be beat. Nice, quite, clean atmosphere. I frequent here as often as Im able and will continue to do so for as long at they remain open.

Had an enjoyable lunch with three great sushi rolls shared between two of us. Service was prompt and fast. I will say that the place was not packed so they could dedicate time to us. They did forget the sweetener that was requested. However it was quickly rectified shortly after.

We used to go here regularly. Now they have new owners, and the menu isnt much of a menu at all. They barely have anything and they have no descriptions. Employees arent very friendly. Anyone know if the previous owners opened up a new place???

Best hibachi Japanese food in town. Great food at a great price. Hidden gem in Evansville. Dine in is much better than take out. One fifth the cost of other hibachi grills here in town and delicious.

Food decent, priced high though. Service is slow, and not everybodys food came at same time. Probably 5 minutes difference between 1st and last being served. (4 people). Sushi was delicious.
